It's not every day that the International Space Station is aligned with the terminator, the line that divides day and night.

According to NASA astronaut Christina Hammock Koch, who took this picture, the terminator can only be witnessed from the International Space Station only a few times a year, and so this is a rare view of what it's like to watch day dissolve into night on earth from outer space.
