Google Built A Secret Text Adventure Game 

It's nearly Monday afternoon, which means you've just about dug through your weekend email backup and you're ready to do something — anything — that isn't work. Well, Google is here to help, serving up a full-blown text adventure game in Chrome's Console view. Here's how to play it: 

1. Search for "text adventure" on Google;

2. Right click anywhere on the search results page and select "Inspect element";

3. Select the "Console" tab when the inspector opens up, and you should see the game:

4. You'll be playing as the blue "G" from the Google logo. To get going, follow the prompts, type in word commands ("yes," "north," etc.) and, well, stop doing work for a while.

Unfortunately, the game doesn't work in Safari, but Opera, Firefox and Microsoft Edge work (in addition to Chrome, of course).​ Have fun!
