There's black, and then there's Vantablack.
Developed by Surrey NanoSystems, Vantablack, which is made from carbon nanotubes, is the blackest material ever made. How black is it? The company has uploaded some videos of it in action, and it's absolutely absurd. Here's what happens when you shine a laser at Vantablack:

We try not to be hyperbolic here, but this is blowing our minds. Unfortunately, it's not easy getting your hands on it — in fact, if you're an artist who wants to use the material, you're out of luck: Surrey has granted exclusive rights to it to a single artist.
