GREAT BIG STORY + DIGG

Great stories come from everywhere. When Great Big Story launched in October 2015 our goal was to show you something you've never seen and tell you something you've never heard. We started out with a small production team nestled in a corner office of CNN New York, but now we're over 40 strong and manning two floors of an office space just outside of Union Square. Our producers have traveled to more than 40 countries to uncover the weirdmazing and we're just getting started.

But before Great Big Story was ever an idea, Digg was THE place where the internet's curiosity-driven flocked for intrigue and excitement. Playing the role of guest editor for today is something we're incredibly proud of and our hope is that a diverse set of interests from inside our company and out are represented in this all-video dose of awesomeness.

We have inspiring shorts like our latest Great Big Films production CLARESSA; episodes from fan-favorite franchises like The Aquatic World with Philippe Cousteau; human interest profiles exploring a professional offstring yo-yoer; modern Polynesian voyagers preserving ancestral sailing traditions; and much more.

Incredible video doesn't end with Great Big Story though, so we asked our entire staff of producers, editors and graphic designers to share their favorite stories for Digg fans to enjoy. From this fun animated short, courtesy of the fine people at Animade, who imagined what it'd be like for balloons to compete in the Olympics to BBC Earth's Wilderness Sessions where viewers roam the northern plains to learn about the Musk Ox. We're equally fascinated by the amazing talent across the web and grateful to be able to discover it in a place like Digg.

Help us help you, great friends of the internet โ€” stop by sometime to share the stories on your mind.
