WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE

Over the past week, we here on the Internet1 blessed with two exceptional livestreamed events. On Monday, beautiful baby eagles (eaglets for those of you interested in avian taxonomy) hatched before our very eyes.

Faces only an eagle mother could love. CBS

Then on Wednesday, we watched a spectacular tale unfold out of Seattle as a man hanging out in a tree for over 24 hours drew police, fans, rivals2, news crews and a man with a goat3 who just wanted to wish him well.

And who can forget, now almost a year ago, the fervor with which two llamas on the run captured our collective imaginations and tapped into the universally human trait of wanting not to do work?

But what do you do after the eagles have left the nest? And if a tree stands in Seattle after a man has left it, is anyone around to watch it? Sadly, the answers are nothing and no. Interesting news doesn't happen every day despite what you may be led to believe by the thousands of articles published every hour. And interesting live news is even more rare than that!

All hope isn't lost though. Your lunch break may be yet saved. There are lots of people, places, and things4 that livestream all day! All the time! And some of these are pretty good and interesting. For the sake of your mobile phone, we're going to stick to those found on YouTube.

Puppies

Yes, that is correct, there is a nearly 24/7 livestream of puppies hanging out! In fact, there a few from the Explore YouTube channel. As I write this, there are some cuties napping in their little beds.

Kittens

As the saying goes, "It's streaming cats and dogs out here," so here's a pretty consistent stream of some cats and kittens.

Bison

Dogs and cats are cool but like, you can see those guys anywhere. Lets get some true American beasts in here. And there's usually a lot of them roaming around in a big old pack of bison. So sick. Warning, sometimes this cam might be NSFW as bison are wild beasts that cannot be stopped from fighting or fucking.

Jellyfish

Watching jellyfish blob around and wiggle their weird water legs is actually really relaxing. Zen out with your tentacles out5.

Penguins

The Monterey Bay Aquarium also has a livestream of penguins which are very nice to watch. They look like they have fun.

The Earth

You'll will probably never go to space, but that doesn't mean you can't stare at our big, beautiful Mother Earth from the great beyond. Watch her turn slowly, as she completes the dance of the cosmos.

Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo

Shibuya Crossing is basically the Times Square of Tokyo, and during rush hour and other popular times, things can get pretty crazy. Look at all the people go!

The San Andreas Deer Cam

The San Andreas Deer Cam is a Twitch stream of a modded version of Grand Theft Auto V with a deer that's programmed to control itself and make all its own decisions. Sometimes he's wandering around the beach, or causing traffic jams on the highway. But he's always on.

Ithaca College Campus

This one can be a little dry at times, but it is a college campus so you never know what weird shit might be going on. Tune in at night and maybe you'll see some students sneaking onto the roof of the science building!

Taiwanese News

We have no idea what's going on here. At any time. But, hey, its news!

The Good Life

Need music for your bar 24/7/365? Is your office too quiet but everyone argues about what music to put on? Or just can't stand the idea of utter silence? Leave it up to The Good Life to just play tunes forever.

The International House Of Prayer

Maybe you need to chill out a bit, give thanks, give back. There's nothing like the soft sounds of Christians singing in a nice open room. There's usually someone performing. The Lord commands it.

An African Watering Hole

Again, this cam might be NSFW — you never know who's gonna show up at the local watering hole! An old flame? That cute gazelle you've been chasing for weeks? A hunter!? (hopefully not)

Jackson Hole Ski Lift

Watch this stream long enough and you're bound to see someone fall. If that fails to entice you, you can at least pretend you're on vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Alaskan Bears

Okay we've got a lot of animal cams on here, but hey, everyone has their favorite animals so we're just trying to cover our bases. This cam provides a view of some super cute cubs as they hang with their mom (or dad, I'm not really sure).

Rialto Bridge In Venice

Ah Venice! The land where gondoliers and stinky water run wild. Rialto bridge is one of Venice's most famous bridges, though I'm not entirely sure why. It is a good looking bridge though.

You could just watch regular videos all day, but there's something about the ability to just let the livestream fly that makes it so appealing. You never have to check in on it, it just goes on and on and on, happily showing whatever atoms cross its screen, forever. It'll always be there for you, it won't ever stop providing you with some level of entertainment. There's something nice about that.

"Memers," if you will.
