- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 12/03/2007, -7/+5Anyone who opposes Ron Paul is a troll.
- drakethegreat, on 12/03/2007, -1/+3I find it utterly amazing that people waste their time trying to insult candidates they don't like by trolling articles about them. I guess thats what makes me different then you.

http://www.freestateproject.org/intro/ron_paul - kbud0420, on 12/03/2007, -3/+26That was a GREAT video. This election will not be like any other. People for the first time are not just voting for a man but for a fundamental philosophy of freedom. A return to the United States we learned about in grade school. People feel like they are part of something and they are. Ron Paul. I believe!!!!
- truegodofwar, on 12/03/2007, -8/+13It's not about Ron Paul! It's about the r3V0Lution!
- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 12/03/2007, -6/+4Why not just say "revolution"?

- kjk437, on 12/03/2007, -2/+4To annoy you.
- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 12/03/2007, -6/+4Why not just say "revolution"?
- afruff23, on 12/03/2007, -4/+13GOD DAMMIT!! How many more times do RP videos have to include the "don't tase me bro" video? It has nothing to do with the administration.
- TypeEE, on 12/03/2007, -4/+2I reminds me of the 2nd crook Americans got to choose from in 2004.
- actorboy, on 12/03/2007, -1/+5Agreed. If you want to talk about civil liberties, pick something else. The guy was a douche and a nutcase ("The government is taking me! They're going to kiil me!") When I see this in a Ron Paul video, it says to me: "Ron Paul, the candidate for those who side with douches and nutcases." It's too divisive.
- Jschluet, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2I love that video because it's really intense, and then all of a sudden BAM, comic relief!
- lancifer, on 12/03/2007, -3/+17Wow, it mixed nicely with happy hardcore and it was heartfelt. If you people down there don't pull this of...(I've donated 1000 already...)
- billygotee, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Damn, I had no idea there was an international interest in Ron Paul. . .wonder if that's messing up the internet polls.

- DrPaulFTW, on 12/03/2007, -10/+2It is absolutely absurd to call Ron Paul a libertarian. He is nothing more than a traditional conservative. You don't even need a college course to make such a simple distinction, just look it up on Wikipedia, or any source that you find to be more trustworthy. Libertarians would never allow the passage of laws infringing on the rights of citizens (and support all rights unless they infringe upon those of another), and therefore would adamantly oppose any legislation providing for a ban on homosexual marriage, etc. Obviously Mr. Paul's religious inclinations interfere with this libertarian viewpoint. This is why one cannot separate Paul from other religious, conservative wackos. I find it truly entertaining the manner in which agnostics and atheists attempt to justify Mr. Paul's policies. Understand one thing: Paul stands for the libertarian ideal of free market economy far more so than he stands for civil liberties. Let us not forget the free-fall of free-market economics under former President Hoover.
Paul's viewpoints on liberty (where he does hold them) are truly wonderful. But rather than fall in line, find a candidate you can truly endorse without feeling you have to make a compromise. I know deep down that many of you are concerned with Ron Paul's beliefs on religion. Recognize this concern is healthy.- unloud, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1"and therefore would adamantly oppose any legislation providing for a ban on homosexual marriage"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGaBAb_oS84
What was your point? - kjk437, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Hopefully he'll just ban the term "marriage" for all unions as recognized by the government. Religions and private organizations can use the term "marriage" if they want, but there's no place for such an institution as recognized by the government, heterosexual or homosexual. If the government puts everyone on the same playing field, no more problems. Take it up with your religion if you have a problem then.
BTW, I fully support gay rights so no one thinks this is a way to deny gays the rights to a government acknowledged marriage. - billygotee, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1He's already said he was for legal bindings between same sex--watch the Candidates@Google talk. So there goes that.
- unloud, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1"and therefore would adamantly oppose any legislation providing for a ban on homosexual marriage"
- ndnspongebob, on 12/03/2007, -4/+20Ron Paul's run for the presidency is the most moral of any. no special interests. pure love money from the little guys. and we're still stickin' it to these corporations that think they can steal our country without us givin a fight!
go RON GO!!!- itseffinkasey, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2Dugg you up, because you are exactly right. These large corporations think that they can steal our country from us, and they have been.
- ndnspongebob, on 12/03/2007, -1/+0thanks, i'm followin' ron's example, just sayin some unadulterated truth
- itseffinkasey, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2Dugg you up, because you are exactly right. These large corporations think that they can steal our country from us, and they have been.
- laterthandawn, on 12/03/2007, -2/+6Okay, I may actually like Ron Paul, but equating campaign donations with engaging in the Boston Tea Party is a little extreme...me thinks RP's campaign/followers may be (quite brilliantly) sexing this one up a bit much...
- voisine, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1I respectfully disagree. We're taking a candidate with *zero* support from the washington money machine, and I do mean *zero*, and we're giving him the means to get this revolutionary message to the people.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Freedom is sexy
- MyBookie, on 12/03/2007, -4/+11Us Ron Paul supporters wouldn't have to spend so damned much time promoting his platform on the internet and in the streets if the mainstream media would just treat all candidates the same and give equal time to all. It's sad, but here I am, helping do the medias job for them.
- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 12/03/2007, -8/+3You're not promoting any platform. You're just spamming what we already know on Digg. For about six months now.
- kjk437, on 12/03/2007, -3/+3The great irony of your comment is that you feverishly post, or, as the irony would suggest, spam these threads more than any Ron Paul supporter I know. Hypocrisy is hard to live with, I know, but I guess you're doing all right.
- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 12/03/2007, -8/+3You're not promoting any platform. You're just spamming what we already know on Digg. For about six months now.

- drakethegreat, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1yes
- ndnspongebob, on 12/03/2007, -1/+0Thats Dr. No to you
- GoKings, on 12/03/2007, -2/+410 million will not happen. I've bought a shirt, bumper sticker, his book, donated $25 on the 5th, and will donate $25 on the 15th. However, 10 million is an absolutely unreal number. His average donation received on the 5th was $103. Meaning a lot of supporters probably maxed out to bring that average so high. I think a realistic number is once again around 4 million. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
Regardless, this is the most amazing fund raising I have ever seen in my lifetime. I mean, we have people developoing websites, hanging banners, donating all they can, all without one single request from the campaign team themselves. This is just an amazing movement that will only continue to get bigger. Only time will tell if it gets big enough in time.- kjk437, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1I think $5 million is a reasonable goal to shoot for. Without counting any other donations that would put him at $15,500,000 for the quarter. That's a damn fine total.
- HerrEisenheim, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0It won't ever get big enough, because he can't win the moderate vote. He just can't. Not with a message of change. You have to remember that the old people in this country now outnumber the youth... and by a considerably margin (especially voting margin). They don't care about liberty, they care about security. Those people are extremely risk averse. Most of them are doing alright, and they don't really want to be part of the Ron Paul "revolution." That very word terrifies [most of] them. They just want to retire and slowly die from cancer because they can't afford health insurance. (Just kidding—well, only partly.)
- ASayre8, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0According to the campaign, only about 3% of donors have maxed out. There's still PLENTY of room for people to max out who haven't already. Especially since the Money bomb concept has proved viable, people will be more likely to put in everything on the 16th.
- Qtip42, on 12/03/2007, -1/+6I just want to raise 10 mil because it'll make Rommy waste more of his own money just to say he beat RP in funding for the 4th quarter.
- saulmora, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Except that Romney's not going to win!
- UtubReptilian, on 12/03/2007, -3/+0Check out AOL polls final results. Dig it NOW! http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/AOL_Polls_Final_ ...
- Berkana, on 12/03/2007, -3/+5I'm going to give. And I'll tell you what, I don't make enough to give like a corporate fat-cat, but I'm pissed, and I'm ready to give until it hurts on the 16th to help Ron Paul break through the media's bias. We cannot let another neocon take the reigns of our nation, both for our own sake, and for the sake of the world.
If you're willing to give your life to defend your country, you should be willing to give your money to truly defend your country, by backing the candidate who truly gets what's going on, who understands monetary policy, who will end the disastrous war. Join the Tea Party on the 16th!- uziko, on 12/03/2007, -4/+2"If you're willing to give your life to defend your country"
only an idiot would give their life to defend a country- Berkana, on 12/03/2007, -1/+4Only an idiot regards his country so lowly as to not consider it worth sacrificing for, whether against threats foreign or domestic.
- uziko, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1please sign up for the military, i fully advocate you dying in the military. me, i'll be somewhere in europe, while youl be wiping your ass with the american dollar, i will be swimming in money, probably, denmark, norway, other countries that don't suck, i wish i wasn't born in america
- marvinmatthew, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1So all the Brits who died in WWII, died for nothing?
- uziko, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1they got paid, when you sign up for the military you agree to risk your life, for less than minimum wage
- Berkana, on 12/03/2007, -1/+4Only an idiot regards his country so lowly as to not consider it worth sacrificing for, whether against threats foreign or domestic.
- kjk437, on 12/03/2007, -1/+3Oy, on a college budget it's already hurting, but I'll keep giving. ;) Drove up to Iowa and back from central Missouri to help with the campaign. Getting out there is the best thing we can do as supporters.
- uziko, on 12/03/2007, -4/+2"If you're willing to give your life to defend your country"
- HerrEisenheim, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1He's got an interesting, and rather unique, message among a sea of moderates; but he isn't going to be able to suddenly change the country by snapping his fingers. I think some people need to realize that, because you watch these videos and you'd think that Ron Paul is William Wallace from Braveheart.
- Berkana, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2If all he manages to do is to stop the war, that already makes him better than any of the other candidates out there, with the exception of Kucinich. None of the other candidates seem to be willing to promise to pull us out of Iraq.
- Identity4, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1He seems to be a step in the right direction at least.
- angrynorwegian, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1ive spent too much time thinking about how awesome it would be to have ron paul as president, and not enough time thinking about how much its going to suck if one of the other nutjobs is elected..now THATS a scary thought
- xtianbretz, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2I'm doing it!
- MrKrinkleDude, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2I don't do "Tea Party's" or any other nancy activity. But, I've been donating $100 to Ron every month since July. I'll wait til the 16th to make my December donation on 1 condition, don't put me on any "Tea Party" list.
- TyroPyro, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2I encourage all you dedicated supporters to think deeper on some specifics of Ron Paul's positions and reconsider your support. The first link is an analysis of some of his positions, the second link covers his voting record.

http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/2007/11/ron-pauls-rec ...- stimcaps, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Just wanted to say thanks for posting that first link. Ron Paul supporters owe it to themselves to read it, and not merely bury your post out of fear.
- marvinmatthew, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3Why did this fall off the front page?
- lerker, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Iron Chef theme music!
- scopi, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0The secret ingredient is...liberty.
- testbenchdude, on 12/03/2007, -1/+4I made the decision yesterday to fully support Dr. Paul. Previously I thought he didn't have a ghost's chance in hell at gaining a nomination and much less at actually winning, and so I was resigned to voting for the candidate that seemed the lesser of two evils yet again since I did not want my vote to be cast "in vain". I wanted my vote to matter in the end.
But then I realized that Dr. Paul's ideals resonate more closely with my own than any other candidate, and that I would not be "throwing my vote away" if I voted for him. I decided that even if this campaign fizzles and dies, I will still vote for him next year, and I will believe that my vote will matter, to me especially, because I am taking a stand. So now I firmly believe that a vote for Dr. Paul is a vote that matters, and a vote for any other candidate would be the one that would be cast in vain. It was a watershed moment for me, and while I await my official bumper sticker (I've never put one of any sort on before) I've taped a temporary printed one inside my rear window and I am proud to have done so.
Years hence, I will be proud to say that I voted for this man, whether he wins or not.
Cheers~ - unrealalexk, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1I don't see this on the front page anymore?
