- ccfoo242, on 01/20/2008, -0/+1He never said Reagan was good, he never said he was Reagan. He stated a fact without inserting his opinion of that fact. Had he prefaced his comments with "While I think he ultimately was wrong" then there would be no controversy. You don't have to like was Reagan did to understand that he "changed the trajectory" of America.
Is he guilty by association? Yes. But he NEVER said Reagan's actions were good. - Cosey, on 01/20/2008, -0/+0When you give Reagan as an example of "change and ideas" and say that no one, including President Clinton has had any ideas since Reagan, you are in desperate need of maturity. Prior to that statement, I didn't think we could lose with any of the three top candidates for the Democratic nomination. Now, I'm scared to death that Obama might fool enough people to get the nomination.
If he sees Reagan as a better source of ideas than Bill Clinton, maybe he needs to rethink his party affiliation.
