In this case, Obama would wind up 150 short of a majority, a setback from the 88 he'd need if the rogue states weren't included in the count. But the news for Clinton is worse.

JosselynB, on 05/09/2008, -2/+3I've become a real fan of Romano over the last month or so. This is a well-sourced, well-argued piece. The one suggestion I would make is seat the complete delegations EXCEPT for any supers who had any hand in moving up the primaries after being warned of the consequences. They remained stripped of their votes as a warning to any other politicians who think to buck the party rules in the next election cycle.

zoom1928, on 05/10/2008, -2/+1Oh please. This is just a lame attempt by some Obamidiot to try to justify Obama's immoral attempt to make sure that the votes from those two states do not count. No man who believes someone doesn't have the basic human right to vote should ever be elected to President. If he doesn't believe in even this basic civil right, he shouldn't hold any office of any kind.
- smotpoker, on 05/10/2008, -1/+1Are you proud to lie for your party/candidate or do you truly believe the nonsense you're spouting? Who told you that Obama was against the right to vote? He has agreed on several occasions to a revote and most recently he even agreed to letting Michigan vote count even though he wasn't on the ballot if he could have the delegates Clinton didn't win. She refused, I assume, because she decided only closing the lead by 10 delegates wasn't worth it to her. Willing to lose a state he didn't even get to compete in to someone who broke her agreement to compete/win sound like someone trying to screw democracy to you? How about willing to screw an entire state because she couldn't win big enough to suit her?
  
  Seriously, do you really think that if someone isn't super-enthusiastic to dig into their own pocket to fix something that they didn't break (and should be fixed by whoever was responsible for breaking it) or is hesitant to let an unfair competition conclude uncontested it means they are against it? I didn't think so.
