What's wrong with gas prices? It's all in your head.
pol.moveon.org — John McCain threw Phil Gramm under the bus for saying, less artfully, what he himself has said repeatedly. Quit whining, already, and let big oil drill wherever they want to - that's what the economy needs, according to Gramm, Bush, and McCain.

- LKnight, on 07/19/2008, -1/+6I was pleased to see that the gas tax holiday, McCain's Pandering Folly, is not only dead in the water but that congress is suggesting the excise tax may, in fact, need to increase. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to pay more for gas, but adding a few cents a gallon for the common good makes sense to me compared to the RADICAL moves in price that gas makes every day (or is that just in my head, too?) in response to Big Oil's pricing guidelines.

- atgmac, on 07/20/2008, -1/+1Yep, when you start paying $8 a gallon like we do in the UK, THEN you can start complaining about gas prices. Until then STFU - it could be worse.
