Wesley Clark: "I'm Not Backing Away From Anything I Said" watch!
youtube.com — Despite heavy criticism, Gen. Wesley Clark is standing by his statement this weekend that Sen. John MCain's military experience doesn't qualify him to be commander-in-chief.

- roosevans, on 07/01/2008, -3/+20In my opinion, Wesley Clarke should not take back his words about John McCain's military experience not qualifying him to be President, because McCain's military experience was not an executive one, such as a commanding officer.
- FrankHope, on 07/01/2008, -4/+20Clark isnt' out there trying to make friends with the Right. He is the Neocons' worst nightmare - a patriotic General that will stand up for the interests of the American People at home and abroad. He knows what is at stake and he's not pulling any punches.

- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 07/01/2008, -3/+16Too Late. Changey McHopeNChange hast already thrown him under the bus.

Here's a statement from Obama spokesman Bill Burton on Wes Clark's controversial comments about McCain's military service. "As he's said many times before, Senator Obama honors and respects Senator McCain's service, and of course he rejects yesterday's statement by General Clark."- yellowcakewalk, on 07/01/2008, -4/+11It's the only thing you and I agree on, Bohica. Obama will do or say anything that's convenient for his campaign. I wish Obama had a shred of the integrity that Wes Clark has.
- FrankHope, on 07/01/2008, -4/+11Obama just threw one too many people under the bus. He's making a huge mistake. Just because Fox news goes on the attack is not a reason to back off from a fight. Obama did the same thing to Reverend Wright when Fox news attacked. This is becoming a reflex reaction for him. I personally find this deplorable.
If he won't stand up for Wesley Clark, who will he stand up for? Clark didn't say anything that was in any way objectionable. I'm sick of the media holding up John McCain as some kind of saint because he was a POW. McCain has had nothing but disdain for the families of POWs. He has refused to investigate their cases. He has sealed the records of Vietnam POWs. Is this because there is some incriminating evidence about John McCain in those records? You bet it is!
Many have noted the cozy relationship between the MSM and McCain. He often gets a pass on whoppers that would have destroyed other candidates. When Wes Clark calls McCain out as a phony, the media pounces on him. And worst of all Obama joins in.
Obama has veered to the right since he captured the nomination. It started with his speech at AIPAC, then his support for FISA. His supporters need to hold his feet to the fire. He used to say stuff like, "I'm not the one thats going to bring change, you are." Well its time to put the pressure on Obama to change his behavior. Just because I voted for him in the primaries when he was misleading the American People into thinking he had a backbone and would stand up to the special interests, doesn't mean that I am going to automatically vote for him in the general elections.
The better of two evils is not good enough. I'll vote for a 3rd party candidate to make my opinion known. Even if it means risking putting a Republican in office. The Democrats are no better when it comes to the Wars in the Middle East and protecting our civil liberties.- Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -2/+8Obama hasn't veered to the right as much as he has begun showing his Neocon colors.
- CryRightardCry, on 07/01/2008, -4/+1Yep, you are right.
Ha, Changey McHopenChange! That's ***** funny.
Of course, I'm not sure why you rightards thing hope and change are funny.
Perhaps it's because you view failure as a primary goal. It's hard to say.- gandhii, on 07/02/2008, -0/+4Non-specific "sound bites" that get overly repeated, repeated and repeated deserve to be made fun of. As well as those who continue to use them instead of doing the hard brain work of thinking about and expressing actual philosophy and policy.
- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 07/02/2008, -0/+3For someone who was supposed to run a campaign of substance without bumper sticker mottos or superficial campaign pins, Obama has become the poster child for propaganda posters.
- flip2trip, on 07/01/2008, -9/+5Let's see, Wesley Clark, the man who did such a fantastic job as NATO commander he was fired 3 months early?
When asked about the executive experience of Obama, Gen. Clark said that Obama was running on the strength of his character and good judgment. (Bob Schieffer interview)
Hmmm character and good judgment? Let's take a look at a few of Obama's close associates: Rev. Wright (racist, Obama church member for 20 years, finally left after mounting pressure), Father Pflager (hypocrite), Tony Rezko(convicted con-man), Bill Ayers (domestic terrorist). Yep, now that's a display of character and good judgment.
Gen. Wesley Clark I applaud your service to this country, but you sir are a moron of the highest order.- FrankHope, on 07/01/2008, -2/+7So was Admiral Fallon. Do see a pattern here? The people that stand up to the neocons get the axe. Now who's the moron?
- flip2trip, on 07/02/2008, -1/+1So I take it you think Oslamas associations show good judgment? To answer your question, it's you.
- dinot, on 07/01/2008, -3/+2If there was ever an appropriate time for that "Aw, Geez! Not this ***** again" pic, this is it.
Goddamn you and you're inability to embed images in comments, Digg! - CryRightardCry, on 07/01/2008, -3/+2LOL
Do you REALLY want to play the "who associates with who" game?
For McLobbyist?
Get a clue.- flip2trip, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Who said anything about McCain? Did I say I supported McCain?
You sir, need to get a clue.
- flip2trip, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Who said anything about McCain? Did I say I supported McCain?
- FrankHope, on 07/01/2008, -2/+7So was Admiral Fallon. Do see a pattern here? The people that stand up to the neocons get the axe. Now who's the moron?
- kemp34, on 07/01/2008, -2/+7John McCain has skated by far too long on the sole basis of his term as a POW. I am sorry, but if Wes Clark said being a bomber pilot and a POW is not a qualification for POTUS, I wholeheartedly agree with him. McCain is a terrible candidate and has lied and twisted his face off so many times, I don't give a damn what he did in Vietnam, he is one candidate who will not achieve my vote.
- imacommi, on 07/01/2008, -2/+4I might have voted for Obama if Clark was his VP... so much for that...
- gandhii, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2I hadn't actually thought about it yet... but you have a point. That would make me more seriously consider voting for Obama instead of my current plan of writing someone's name in or going 3rd party.
- Fangsinmybeard, on 07/01/2008, -2/+3The propaganda machine keeps trying to paint Clark into a corner by having him answer clearly loaded questions. Clark had plenty of reason to say that McCain is not qualified to be president, because he is a foreign national by birth. He is not native to the U.S. He is a Panamanian national by birth.
- gandhii, on 07/02/2008, -1/+2and again... for the 5th million time... Clark did not say that McCain wasn't qualified. He said that being a POW wasn't qualification in response to Scheiffer's implication that it was.
- ozymandias2012, on 07/01/2008, -6/+3Translation: "I'm finally getting some attention again and I don't want it to stop! I'm important!"
- catcher6250, on 07/01/2008, -2/+2Does being a POW make you more intelligent and qualify you more to become president?
No. - thefirstenemy, on 07/02/2008, -2/+2John McCain is acting like a complete pussy, crying about being "attacked" at any criticism aimed at him.
