online.wsj.com — The superdelegates will be too nice to overturn voters. Now the question remains: Can John McCain find the Achilles heel in his opponent?

- arlok789, on 05/08/2008, -3/+9John McCain has more "Americaness" in him than I will be able to find in a life time. The only criticism I ever hear is "he is old." Yeah whatever. He understands the constitution and he understands civil liberties. He also understands how strategically screwed we will be if we throw up our hands and leave the middle east. I like Obama, Hate Hillary, and LOVE McCain. I feel like Ron Paul would be more electable policy wise, but he might be the most boring and passionless man ever. Shame. Libertarians rule.

- the tolerant McCain- CaptainAmerica1, on 05/10/2008, -0/+3Oh please...
While two wrongs don't make a right, I've found that the political left is extremely intolerant and hateful of those who don't follow their line.
I can forgive McCain the occasional verbal indiscretion based on the extreme torture he endured.

- postingbh, on 05/08/2008, -7/+4Understanding the Constitution is different than supporting it. McCain voted against restoring habeas corpus, which is essentially the hallmark of a free society and the Constitution itself.
- CaptainAmerica1, on 05/10/2008, -0/+4He voted against restoring habeas corpus for "those detained by the United States." In other words -- non-US citizens accused of being terrorists.
Granting habeas corpus to non-US citizens would jam up the legal system for years.

- InRussetShadows, on 05/08/2008, -3/+10McCain will run over Obama like a steamroller. It won't be pretty.
- onthewriteside, on 05/08/2008, -2/+1It's funny David but I wrote about the exact same thing on my blog before I read this. Except I said McCain VS. Obama? Then it's on like Donkey Kong!
- Stevanoski, on 05/08/2008, -2/+4I don't know if he can play hardball the Dem.s will play just look at what he did to the N. Carolina Repub. party.
- Qong, on 05/08/2008, -2/+3I think that McCain can win in November for sure. Obama is weak and has a lot of issues; he's completely unproven, attends racist gatherings, wants to make friends with the absolute worst people on the planet, etc. People will wake up and realize that he's a bad choice come election time.
