Video of Barack Obama Engaging Young Voters Everywhere watch!
my.barackobama.com — One of the most remarkable things about this campaign is the number of young people who have become politically engaged for the first time. Check out this video tribute to the young voters who are making a huge difference in this campaign...

- dandonia, on 01/18/2008, -4/+14Hey any chance you could organise some kind of Q+A for digg members, I mean you could post a form on a website asking us to send questions then you could get Barack to answer the questions and publish it to digg with like a time period that he will respond to comments with. It would be good to get the info from him
So like Friday 7PM for an hour he will reply to digg comments and answer questions posed - im sure there is a better way of doing this mind.- Tenetri, on 01/18/2008, -8/+52late voting RP
- dandonia, on 01/18/2008, -6/+4waste of a vote - republicans are complete idiots in general and ron paul is no different. Hell he is constintly touting how the country needs to stick to a document that was written when half of the people in america were not classed as human.
- jmpeagle, on 01/18/2008, -1/+3so is it just a god damn piece of paper?
- DavidGX, on 01/18/2008, -0/+2Following the constitution is fine, but RP would remove any government agency or program that's not SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the constitution. That's a BAD idea. The constitution is a PLATFORM for building on, not the whole goddamn country. I highly doubt taking away everyones medicare and s-chip will make us any more free.
- doctorfungi, on 01/18/2008, -4/+6I'm saying this from a non-partisan point of view.
Barrack has a chance. Ron Paul doesn't. You're wasting your vote. - michaelb1, on 01/18/2008, -1/+3Barack would shred RP in the debates. RP's whole MO would fall flat against Obama.

- dlown77, on 01/18/2008, -12/+8I'm a big Obama supporter, but I have to say that this post in particular is a little cheesy.
- Daniel591992, on 01/18/2008, -7/+6Who designed his website? It looks really amazing.
- Curlz31, on 01/18/2008, -2/+3I think this guy did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pup1j1GZ0l0

- nobody7, on 01/18/2008, -18/+6Talk about bandwagon. Obama says we're in war until at least 2013 (when he leaves!) -- think about all the blowback and escalation/friction!:
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Facebook_users_A ...- michaelb1, on 01/18/2008, -1/+2Typical RP supporter. Obama will begin pulling out troops immediately. He will only leave a small force to defend the embassy and keep Al Queda off it's ass.
From his website:
Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq. He will remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months. Obama will make it clear that we will not build any permanent bases in Iraq. He will keep some troops in Iraq to protect our embassy and diplomats; if al Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al Qaeda.

- mempko, on 01/18/2008, -20/+9He is a corrupt politician. Sorry guys.
- michaelb1, on 01/18/2008, -1/+2Don't apologize for trying to smear a good man. Own your cowardice.
- trigatch4, on 01/18/2008, -12/+1More like NOBODY for president:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fqKh11LKXKg - Qtip42, on 01/18/2008, -12/+6I'm happy people are enthusiastic but their "hope" and "change" rhetoric is stupid. The guy is the best of the worst.....it's like being a smartest kid with down syndrome.
- Shaunt, on 01/18/2008, -1/+2I disagree. When Obama first started using the words heavily, before the rest of the presidential field had caught on, they really had meaning. Here was a candidate who could bring together the partisan world of politics and the divided nation to get stuff done. People were genuinely inspired by Obama, and they realized that as president, this man could give us hope again about our country. I think that once the other candidates in both parties caught on to how well Obama's message was being taken and how strong his use of these words was, they started using them too.
- harvinator24, on 01/18/2008, -9/+3I hope ron paul gets the nomination, but if he doesn't it obama all the way.
vote for democracy in '08. - rabidmonkey1, on 01/18/2008, -5/+4Okay, I need to know why people find him so intriguing. The most I can get out of most of my peers who like him is that they like him because either a)he's black, b)he's young.
So can someone articulately explain to me why they like Obama so much? Thanks.- Daunting, on 01/18/2008, -4/+3People comment on how well spoken he is, and the presence he has. Nobody speaks of his policies though.
- synaesthesia, on 01/18/2008, -0/+6His policies aren't exceptional- the differences between the leading Democratic candidates are miniscule at most. They're essentially all in the same boat policy-wise.
The exceptional things, the things that sets him apart from the other candidates are his judgement, honesty, respect for the voters and his promise of hope instead of fear, change instead of the same old Bush-Clinton battles of the past generation, the assurance of a more transparent government and restoral of our Constitution.
- synaesthesia, on 01/18/2008, -0/+6His policies aren't exceptional- the differences between the leading Democratic candidates are miniscule at most. They're essentially all in the same boat policy-wise.
- Shaunt, on 01/18/2008, -1/+5His draw isn't that he has a meticulous grasp of every policy. It's that he inspires people. His message genuinely gives people hope and optimism about the future of this country. I know it's an overused comparison, but I think the similarities between Obama and JFK are many. JFK inspired Americans to think big and aim for the moon. Ten years later, they reached it. I wouldn't belittle JFK's inspirational rhetoric in achieving this goal, nor would I discount Obama's potential to inspire even greater achievement through his.
- Amendmen7, on 01/18/2008, -0/+3Read his latest book, then you may understand. His ability to analyze situations towards a correct conclusion, and to parse the actual nuggets of knowledge from peoples' opinions whether agreeing or disagreeing with him , is just singular in the political world imo. Reading his book clinched my support of the man.

- Curlz31, on 01/18/2008, -9/+4I'm concerned that Obama is not talking about the Federal Reserve system being privately owned and that your federal income tax is not used to pay for government programs, but rather to pay interest to the Federal Reserve Bank, which is owned by the Rockefeller family, the Rothschild family, the Warburg family and a few others. Perhaps i'll look on the Republican side to see if anyone is talking about the Federal Reserve......I thought I did hear one of the Republicans talking about abolishing the Federal Reserve....hmmmm....what was his name again?
- synaesthesia, on 01/18/2008, -2/+4Ron Paul is his name, Zeitgeist is the movie that apparently gives you your opinions. Way to expose yourself as an idiot.

- Shiftgood, on 01/18/2008, -2/+5Ok its time for everyone to realize the limitations of advertising your politician on digg. Ron Paul is out and ive done nothing but stare at that name for the last 4 months on here.
that being said...

- PopeAmadeus, on 01/18/2008, -4/+1RON PAUL REVOLUTION.... Obama is Paul doesn't make it.
- warlokaz2004, on 01/18/2008, -2/+3please -- Ron Paul is DONE. He has money and good for him but he couldn't even scratch into the top 3 in "Live free or Die" New Hampshire. His message will bounce right off of "Support Isreal vs the terrorists" New York and the Bible Belt "Lets put god in the constitution" states. I dig the guy and I digg his message, but he won't get the nomination. Instead he should work on getting his 'pull the f-ck outta Iraq now' plank on the republican platform for the convention, but he needs delegates for that, and i don't see any at this point.
- michaelb1, on 01/18/2008, -0/+1He won't win the nomination but everyday he is still in it makes the other republicans looks stupid. If he really cares about his issues he will stay in as long as possible and bring them up as much as possible.
Also he needs to focus on 1 or 2 things. He's all over the place with his message. If you can't distill your message down to a simple sentence or idea then you don't have a good grasp of it.

- calebian, on 01/18/2008, -5/+2Are you kidding me???? Obama??? Your not voting for the prom king here people. Choose somebody that knows foreign and monetary policy. Choose somebody that knows how to truly put the power of America back into the hands of the people. Choose freedom. CHOOSE RON PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- DavidGX, on 01/18/2008, -0/+1We've had several primaries already. NO ONE is choosing rp. Get the hell over it and find a candidate who can actually win already.
- GorillaCowboy, on 01/18/2008, -5/+0Ron Paul is a joke and will never win. Obama might win although I really hope he doesn't. The man may know politics but never before has he run a business, a city, or a state...and that scares me. His rise to political clout came a little too quickly for me and I fear his inexperience could lead to some bad decisions.
With that being said, I know I will probably get flamed and dugg down for this...I'm voting for Giuliani in 08'. The man cut crime by more than half in the biggest city in America and stimulated the economy. He has a proven track record of not only running a successful business but a city as well. I know there's people out there that think he didn't do the right job he could have during 9/11, but there's also a lot of firefighters out there (in NY mind you) that think he did a great job. Experience + Success = my vote, and it's going to Giuliani. - rolf, on 01/18/2008, -1/+3How does Obama want to pay for the new programs he wants to introduce? All I ask is you watch this Glenn Beck clip -- not for Glenn Beck but what the Comptroller General of the USA who was appointed by Bill Clinton and what he has to say about our financial future:

- boonesfarm, on 01/18/2008, -3/+2Personally, I think the youngest voting segment gets way too much attention. It's great that they're involved, but ultimately I can't listen to political banter from someone with $150 worth of ring tones.
- DavidGX, on 01/18/2008, -0/+1I'd rather listen to the younger crowd and Obama than the older crowd and dubya.
- dmarques1, on 01/18/2008, -0/+0Another good sign of young voter traction is the number of sites that are selling T-shirts featuring Obama, companies that normally specialize in funny t-shirts are taking a political stance and most of them are standing behind Obama. Sites like DonkeyTs and PromoteYourVote are leading the way.
- phpx2pperl, on 01/20/2008, -0/+0I have been on the fence between O'Bama and Hillary and to tell the truth its still an issue for me. But I am leaning toward O'Bama enough to now comment publicly and join his revolutionary effort. I believe he stands for what is right just like Hillary does as well, but the difference is that O'Bama is different and I stand for change just like he does. As a professional, I am a computer engineering technologist. There has been a time in my career I signed my name as a change insurgent. I am an advocate of change. I like the way O'Bama proposes to bring it by listening to both sides of situations to create a brand new thing.
