- card51short, on 01/11/2008, -4/+3ever notice how the people that bring up race the most always claim to be the least racist?

- BrandonMills, on 01/11/2008, -3/+13Last polls I checked, Ron Paul wasn't exactly polling well with women.
- Hortnon, on 01/11/2008, -3/+11The exit polls from Iowa showed that only 1/3 of Paul's support comes from women.
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -5/+9Not all of Ron Paul's girls are hot. Have you seen Brappie's woman? Damn.

- ssn697, on 01/11/2008, -6/+13Successful, as in 10 million dollars per delegate won? Maybe you need a primer on what successful means (and how it is spelled)?
- magoghm, on 01/11/2008, -5/+4Spell successful: R O N P A U L
- Hortnon, on 01/11/2008, -2/+6Oh man, have you been living in a cave on Mars, with your eyes shut and your fingers in your ears?
- magoghm, on 01/11/2008, -3/+1Ron Paul wanted to expose his ideas to a larger audience. I claim that he was very successful.
- Hortnon, on 01/11/2008, -1/+7By that standard, I am also successful.
- KMye, on 01/11/2008, -1/+7I think Ron Paul defined success for his campaign as "winning" in the Stephanopolis interview. Nice attempt at revision, though, it's at least preferable to voter fraud conspiracies.

- HighWastesDrftr, on 01/11/2008, -15/+26I criticize the title "The reason Ron Paul is all over Digg". Are we diggers not fed up with the government (and realize "The other big government party" is not the answer?). Is it not time for peace? Is freedom not popular?
- BashiBazouk, on 01/11/2008, -10/+24Maybe. But we are also anti spam. And she's behind a huge amount of it.
- ChanceLonestar, on 01/11/2008, -7/+7I'm Pro Ron Paul Spam I eat it out of the can!
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -3/+9What did you eat out of Ron Paul's can? This isn't going to be one of those 2girls1cup things is it? That was disgusting.
- Ragecloak, on 01/11/2008, -7/+7Aww, cry me a river. There's too many of one candidate's article's. He is the most popular candidate in the digg community, therefore he has the most articles. FYI there is a search function built into digg where you can search for whoever the ***** you're interested in. The problem with you anti-paul spammers is that you want to censor dr. paul just like the media.
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -3/+10And one of the least popular candidates in the real world. Three consecutive fifth place finishes and that was probably the high water mark of his campaign.
- flogistan, on 01/11/2008, -2/+3The comic genius of Herkimer answering that comment is golden.
- KMye, on 01/11/2008, -0/+5He's only the most popular candidate on digg because of all the supporter who came here in the last 10 months, a directive which most likely had its roots with this she-devil ruiner.
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -3/+10And one of the least popular candidates in the real world. Three consecutive fifth place finishes and that was probably the high water mark of his campaign.

- canewediggit, on 01/11/2008, -4/+11that's the whole damn point. right now, i'm in the obama camp but if the hardcore obama people start treating digg like the paulites do, i'll bury their ***** too.
- Ragecloak, on 01/11/2008, -6/+4haha ok now you're just lying through your teeth
- canewediggit, on 01/11/2008, -2/+10i was burying garbage before you got here, i'll be burying garbage when paul quits and you go back to stormfront or wherever the hell you came from.

- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -4/+8Lighten up, Francis. You can relax now. It's over for Ron Paul.
- BashiBazouk, on 01/11/2008, -10/+24Maybe. But we are also anti spam. And she's behind a huge amount of it.
- PSWTyrant, on 01/11/2008, -8/+14I've never heard of this woman and I'm certainly part of the "problem" since I support Ron Paul. The campaign really doesn't have much to do with the volunteers in my experience.
- BashiBazouk, on 01/11/2008, -6/+14She is the puppet master. I would not be surprised if she did not have a digg account, has never posted an article or dugg anything up. Other than occasional tweaks in the message her main influence would have been setting up that initial mass posting that started this whole ugly business off.
- V3n0M, on 01/11/2008, -7/+3Do you really think she has an account?? http://www.digg.com/users/ronpaulin2008/

So let me put it this way: Don't you think she has an account? http://www.digg.com/users/ronpaulin2008/
- BashiBazouk, on 01/11/2008, -5/+11No.
- janeuner, on 01/11/2008, -3/+3A puppet master with no strings. She should patent her methods.
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -4/+5She can't. She stole it from Joseph Goebbels.
- KMye, on 01/11/2008, -0/+3She has an account, but it's barely used, in an active sense at least, which is what you'd expect. Is it against TOS to post it? Anyway, all you have to do is search by her email.
- V3n0M, on 01/11/2008, -7/+3Do you really think she has an account?? http://www.digg.com/users/ronpaulin2008/

That's the point of viral advertisements.

Come to think of it, those silly civil rights protesters in the 60s should of politely asked the shop keepers if they could eat in their restaurant. If they said no, they should of shaken their hands and calmly walked away.
Civil disobidience is such an ugly, hateful way of protesting our loving government officials.
Next time you want to protest, just think of how you might be hurting their feelings....- chaosium, on 01/11/2008, -3/+13"Come to think of it, those silly civil rights protesters in the 60s should of politely asked the shop keepers if they could eat in their restaurant. //not able to control urge!- jcm267, on 01/11/2008, -5/+11I'd only do a submission if she got annoyed and actually told me to stop. I'm doing it, starting with this one! Is it better to submit the story or the digg page?
- ssn697, on 01/11/2008, -3/+11I'd go with a story from a blog with her email. That way, you can enjoy the comments from the Paulina's...
- jcm267, on 01/11/2008, -2/+11I meant "email the digg page or the story".... I've emailed probably ten already. Including one that was duplicated 5 times.
- canewediggit, on 01/11/2008, -2/+12i think the better option would be the digg link. she needs to see that her supporters are being counter productive by trying to overrun an established community and not respecting it's members. let her see the hundreds of daily paul submits we have to see.
- ssn697, on 01/11/2008, -2/+11Are we saying the same thing Cane? I would make a blog post, include her email, then submit the post to Digg. Is that what you are saying?
- canewediggit, on 01/11/2008, -2/+11nah, i was just saying email her digg links. but a submit would be better since you could lay out the steps needed and anyone not reading this thread may see it and start sending stuff her way.
although at this point she's probably read this thread and is ready for it. hi justine! are you the author of the newsletters? paul refuses to say who did, was it you? they didn't slander asians, so i thought maybe it might be. - ssn697, on 01/11/2008, -2/+11Yeah, I was slow on the uptake. I am just using Digg's "Email It" feature to get her all the relevant Ron Paul stories I come across. I am sure she appreciates being kept in the loop.
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -4/+10Gentlemen, why not do all of it? Blog it, mail it and post it? Let her find out what it's like to be on the other side for once and see the damage that she's been doing.
- theblueprint, on 01/11/2008, -2/+11I've sent her the "Ron Paul Makes the CNN Front Page" story about 20 times today.

You claim to be vehemently 'anti-spam' right. You have publicly bragged about 'reporting' those who spam Digg at will. With your screen-shots of their activity, writeup, complaints, the whole works. You declare this sort of mass spamming 'evil', demand 'spam must be stopped' as you viciously threaten those you call "spammers",
you harshly order them 'not to spam', to 'stop spamming others' and file your 'reports'.
You violently appose, protest, whimper & whine about Prison Planet, Alex Jones, RP, & select 'truther' submissions 'gaming' & spamming Digg. You protest what you label 'spam' time & again. You have claimed to be against mass-posting, you have testified to 'oppose spam' several times over. You have gone on record to state you are not guilty of spamming' and would 'never do so'.
As if.
Yet, you in fact willfully do the same upon others; cheerfully spam-assault select individuals at the drop of a hat when it best suits you. It's okay when YOU spam people. As you pressure, promote & encourage your dishonest, two-faced brigadier shills to 'follow suit' & spam your pet "enemies" along with you. You brag above to your spamming accomplishments that you have "emailed probably ten already. Including one that was duplicated 5 times." Your fellow shill has proudly boasted "I've sent her the "Ron Paul Makes the CNN Front Page" story about 20 times today." Yet that doesn't concern nor bother you in the slightest that this person is wilfully spamming, promoting & engaging in spam activity.
Typical of those who genuinely fail to recognize that they have severe character faults which they condemn in others: the person who knows they are doing wrong but deliberately takes steps to hide their faults to keep from being embarrassed by their deliberate, subnormal behavior..someone who condemns others for doing the very things they excuse in themselves..and feels no sense of remorse for their inappropriate actions..

- Groovemaster, on 01/11/2008, -8/+16I wonder if she's also responsible for the millions of dollars of donations Ron Paul has received.
I guess she must have enlisted in the military to account for the huge donations from them too.
You anti-constitution cretins are getting really desperate but you don't need to worry, the corporate elite will continue to ensure Dr. Paul doesn't become the first US president for decades who has even a shred of integrity.- ssn697, on 01/11/2008, -8/+14"I guess she must have enlisted in the military to account for the huge donations from them too."
I say AGAIN (because you morons can't seem to get it through your thick skulls) 50k is NOT "huge donations". At reportable level, that means less than .3% (yes, not even half of one percent) of the military has donated to Ron Paul.
Congratulations on being the latest idiot to post this ***** tripe. Are you up to posting the Gandhi quote incorrectly as well? How about posting Hillary is bought and paid for by the defense industry (she got the same 50k), so you can get the tri-fecta?- Groovemaster, on 01/11/2008, -8/+9We have a difference of opinion. To me that's a huge donation and to you it isn't. No need to piss your pants about it, son.
Anyway, back to my point.
Several million dollars in donations is proof positive that Ron Paul is backed by the American people. You may not like it, but at least you have the option to suck your thumb and cry into your blanky, and I strongly suggest you do so until you feel a little less edgy.- ssn697, on 01/11/2008, -9/+14No, we don't have a "difference of opinion". You have absolutely no grasp on reality. VOTES are what it takes to prove someone is backed by the American people. 10 million dollars per delegate proves you don't understand how the process works.
Let me know the next time you complain about big money corporate America ruling the elections, or the country. Then, make your money argument again.
Dufus.- Groovemaster, on 01/11/2008, -8/+7Nice sidestep. Millions of dollars of donations directly from the American people to Ron Paul doesn't mean they support him at all. Now I see how it works in your insane, baffled reality. Thanks for enlightening me, Einstein!
Also it's interesting that you have so much confidence in a voting system that's very probably rigged. Or do you conveniently trust Diebold despite continual controversy just because doing so helps your failing argument? Ha. Thought so. - chaosium, on 01/11/2008, -3/+10"Millions of dollars of donations directly from the American people to Ron Paul doesn't mean they support him at all. "
It doesn't mean that many millions of people will support Ron Paul with votes, as evidenced by the most friendly state Paul had. - Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -5/+11Any other Ronbot talking points you'd like to throw out on the subject? There weren't milions of dollars donated from the American people, it was donated by a fairly small sub-strata of the American people who are politically ignorant and easily led (gullible). Huge campaign contributions from the military that weren't so huge at all (drop in the bucket). And then the last line of Ronbot defense, it was rigged! Despite the fact that Ron Paul got nearly the exact amount of votes that the polls and exit polls indicated he would get, you still think it was a fixed election. There may have been some errors in the count but nothing that is going to affect the outcome.
Listen, you can relax now. It was a good run for you people and you got to annoy a lot of interesting and intelligent people with your ignorance and spam but now that Ron Paul is finished as a Presidential candidate you can take some time off and relax. You can always come back in a few weeks and start posting chem-trail stories or truther crap and we'll still be around to mock you and remind you that you're an idiot. Go sit in the sunshine for a while. Your work here is done.

Backed by Americans != backed by "the American people" one means that some Americans like him, the other implies that he has enough support to be a frontrunner.

- airwalkery2k, on 01/11/2008, -6/+8Yes, she coordinated all of it! That's why we've never heard of her. Or seen her. She must be one of those evil hackers from the internets.
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -9/+13No, she's a scummy marketing person working for the worst human being to ever run for President and taking advantage of the socially maladjusted to fund his campaign.
- CaptainNoPants, on 01/11/2008, -3/+13wow, worst ever to run for prez? for eva eva?
- canewediggit, on 01/11/2008, -3/+9for eva eva?
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -7/+7Can you think of a worse one? I've tried.
- FyreGoddess, on 01/11/2008, -5/+7I'm sure they exist... they just don't make the history books. They're destined to obscurity.
Off the top of your head, can you name the other Democrats who ran against Mondale for the '84 nomination? How about the other Republicans who ran against Nixon in '68? No cheating. - Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -5/+6I remember that Reagan ran in '68 and so, of course, did Harold Stassen. I have no idea who ran against Mondale but I should. I'll go look later.
I had always considered George Wallace to be the worst person to ever run for President but at least he was open about his bigotry and didn't try to hide it or shift the blame to someone else. He stood by what he really believed no matter how repugnant it was to the rest of the world. If there were any worse than Wallace and Paul I can't think of them off of the top of my head. - luther70, on 01/11/2008, -1/+3Pat Robertson?
- jcm267, on 01/11/2008, -2/+3I'm guessing for 84 that Mondale was the "party's candidate" and maybe Teddy Kenney and some other schmucks ran. I can name for '68 Romney, Reagan, two Rockefellers, ..
I know there were a lot of them. I should know them, actually, because I fell into the 1968 Republican Primary race when doing a wikipedia spree last week. I go to confirm one thing, and I keep clicking on the related links. I recall the Wikipedia entry for this saying that there was just a steady succession of guys who tried to knock off the Party's favorite, Nixon.

- FyreGoddess, on 01/11/2008, -4/+12Just the fact that someone who is officially associated with the Paul campaign is claiming to have spearheaded this really validates the concerns and accusations of astroturfing.
It's funny, isn't it, how so many of the things that we said from the very beginning are starting to make the news? Good thing there's a media blackout on him, huh?
- Herkimer56, on 01/11/2008, -9/+13No, she's a scummy marketing person working for the worst human being to ever run for President and taking advantage of the socially maladjusted to fund his campaign.
- BrandonMills, on 01/11/2008, -5/+11Viral Marketing. Bandwagon appeal. People are really, really, *really* gullible. If a lot of people say something, it must be true! ( and if not, we'll edit Wikipedia and say it's true anyhow. )
- chaosium, on 01/11/2008, -5/+9FOUNDING FATHER LIBERTY ONLY POLITICIAN WHO HAS READ THE CONSTITUTION
- COINTELPROAgent, on 01/11/2008, -9/+11I'm sure she didn't get her fingertips dirty with making actual accounts, but planning and coordination, definitely. The only female RP supporter on digg that I know of is ladyk, aka tourettes girl.
- FyreGoddess, on 01/11/2008, -4/+12There are a couple of others. There's that katie person who is actually from Paul's district. There also was that one chick who flipped out on... someone... when he said something like "you guys" and proceeded to go on this thread-spanning rant about how the Bury Brigade were a bunch of sexist idiots. Of course at the time, that person's profile said "A person who joined Digg on..." and never made a single mention of gender.
Heh.- COINTELPROAgent, on 01/11/2008, -3/+11That's right, I forgot about "you're not a christian because you don't support ronpaul" katie.
- FyreGoddess, on 01/11/2008, -4/+10Heh, on Digg women are a fringe group (no pun intended). Quite a few of us at least notice when other women start participating in the same threads as we are.
- COINTELPROAgent, on 01/11/2008, -3/+11That's right, I forgot about "you're not a christian because you don't support ronpaul" katie.
- onetimer, on 01/11/2008, -4/+10Don't forget the infamous spammer "stephbangm", who in EVERY ***** ron paul related article would post something along the lines of:
"Now, if the majority of Ron Paul supporters actually vote in the Primaries, we would most likely win---Even if only 5-10% of the public support Ron Paul like the official polls say, only about 5-10% of the population vote in the Republican Primary! That's why it's critical that we have to work hard right now. Just a few people could make or break this election!"
I wonder WHAT the ***** she is saying now, huh? Godamnit she must have posted that line at least 100 times. Haven't seen her post anything since Iowa, though. Karma, anyone?- jcm267, on 01/11/2008, -4/+10It was copied and pasted from a web site. She didn't even come up with it her(assuming it's a real person)self.

- COINTELPROAgent, on 01/11/2008, -6/+11I'm also going to add that it was deeply stupid of them to brag about their spam campaign and name the head of it. She has an internet trail connected to her name that anyone could use against her in "social" websites.
I wouldn't expect anything less from the Paulites though; I just feel bad that I didn't think to look for such an obvious reason for all the spam. - THEROC, on 01/11/2008, -5/+6If money.cnn had interviewed her, they would not have written such an ignorant article.
Here are just a few examples of what the Ron Paul supporters have organized on their own, with no help from the official campaign.
200 ft. Blimp, 4.3 mil. & 6.2 mil Moneybombs, 90.000 Youtube Videos, Ron Paul R[evo]lution signs all over the country, 100.000 meetup members etc. etc.
Even the "I support Ron Paul" sign in the picture was designed by a supporter. This is a bottom up campaign, and noone coordinates what the grassroots are doing whatsoever. This is one of the best examples of how freedom works, and how much superior it is.- chaosium, on 01/11/2008, -3/+8"This is a bottom up campaign, and noone coordinates what the grassroots are doing whatsoever. To give credit where it is due, it is impressive. It has not scaled well, however and has been a failure.
I would like to see how it would work out with a credible candidate that does not sabotage himself and let down his backers at every turn. - Hortnon, on 01/11/2008, -3/+9Sorry, thinking the campaign had nothing to do with any of that is just ignorant.
- ssn697, on 01/11/2008, -2/+8Here's what the Grassroots campaign HASN'T been able to organize on their own.
VOTES
DELEGATES
But keep making your lawn signs, and flying your blimps. Let us all know when that counts as a VOTE.
- chaosium, on 01/11/2008, -3/+8"This is a bottom up campaign, and noone coordinates what the grassroots are doing whatsoever. This is one of the best examples of how freedom works, and how much superior it is."
- flogistan, on 01/11/2008, -6/+7It's an interesting prospect to think it's viral marketing. I think it has more to do with the internet being a construct that lends itself to libertarian ideals and teaches people to value them. It also has to do with a building discontent with things like the patriot act, and torture, and a general disregard for the constitution after 9/11. His momentum does have much to do with a general distrust of government due to a lack of transparency surrounding 9/11. It also has alot to do with anti war sites like lewrochwell and antiwar. The key catalyst was probably Aaron Russo's freedom to fascism when the synergy of all these elements were coming together and ron paul was introduced to the rest of the nation through the film. This was all accompanied by a growing awareness that an economic collapse due to debt, both personal and national were becoming more pressing. Obviously, due to economic fears, and the availability of movies like the money masters and zeitgeist free for download, libertarian ideals began to have a much greater appeal to people on the internet. Finally, let's face it. Monetary issues are boring as hell unless you mix a little conspiracy in there with them. God knows that came from a thousand points of light, and of course, if you began to look into this fun stuff, you found Alex Jones. I'm not saying that Ron Paul shares Alex's views, or that Alex shares Ron Paul's, or that I share many of Alex's views or Ron Paul's, but Alex is god damn entertaining. Finally, Ron Paul says things nobody else does and so much of it is unbelievably refreshing. The tmes we live in just happen to make them unbelievably alluring. These are a few things that got the whole thing started. It now has a life of its own and is much bigger than any of the aggregate elements. All these things made way for what you've seen and are seeing. See if it goes away after the "viral marketing campaign" ends If this marketing exec is responsible for all of this, then she's the most powerful woman on the face of the earth. Maybe she is, who knows.
- Hortnon, on 01/11/2008, -4/+8If she was actually as powerful as you think, Paul wouldn't be utterly failing in his campaign
- flogistan, on 01/11/2008, -3/+4Read again. I don't believe she's powerful at all as CNN seems to. I think Ron Paul has very little chance of winning, but I hope he does. My point was... well, what I wrote. The energy behind the movement comes from things like a failing economy, not from a marketing executive. Watch. The worse things get over the next four or five years, the more it will grow.
- Hortnon, on 01/11/2008, -4/+8Yeah, but, look at Digg after his failure in Iowa/New Hampshire. 90% drop in submitted Paul stories.
His support is faltering and dying very quickly. There are some who genuinely support him, but I'd wager better than 90% of his online support comes from people following a fad.- flogistan, on 01/11/2008, -3/+4We shall see. I tend to think it's much bigger than ron paul as I said in the post. It is true that some people won't vote out of principal if the candidate has little chance of winning. The question is, is it a fad, or will there be a continuously growing libertarian movement, Ron Paul or not. Having watched it grow since the inception of the internet, my personal opinion is that it will grow, and that it's not just a fad. If it's not a fad, then Ron Paul and his ideas are not a fad, the movement has just not reached critical mass yet.
- magoghm, on 01/12/2008, -2/+290% drop in submitted Ron Paul stories? His support is faltering and dying very quickly?
Let's take a look at the most popular stories in the last 24 hours (all of Digg, not just the 2008 elections). Right on on top we have "Cut from re-air! What Fox News doesn't want you to see".
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Cut_from_re_air_ ...
It has 4570 diggs and it is about something that happened less than 24 hours ago. It seems to me that your wishful thinking is preventing you from accepting the facts from the real world. - Hortnon, on 01/12/2008, -1/+6I didn't say 90% drop in amount of Diggs on an individual story, I said 90% drop in submitted Digg stories. Try to keep up.
