The Ron Paul Machine Continues On...
americanchronicle.com — He doesn ´t doublespeak his answers when he is asked a difficult question, and he has consistently ran on the same platform of individual liberty, smaller government, and repealing the central bank without ever flip flopping on any issue. What I cannot fathom is how, or why, hasn´t his message been spreading throughout the country like wild fire?

- Pherdnut, on 05/16/2008, -6/+1Because when you have an issue with corporate abuse you don't resolve it by diminishing the government's ability to police said corporations. That doesn't make sense.
Because when you say "let the states decide" as a response to every single tough issue that comes up, most Americans rightfully identify that as a copout out at best.
Oh and also the racist newsletters combined with him voting against all civil rights amendments doesn't look good at all no matter how he or his supporters, or some dude from a local NAACP branch who appears to unreachable attempt to spin it. - valaw, on 05/16/2008, -0/+4the government is not policing the corporations, the corporations are running the government. the states were constitutionally given the right to make the laws that concern the people living in the state, not the federal government. think you need to read the constitution so you will understand what the role of federal government is. plus other than put his name on a newsletter and not keeping an eye on what was written, anyone reading mr. paul's opinions would know that he is not racist.
- Kangalanatolian, on 05/16/2008, -0/+1The newsletter thing was a very long time ago. The supposedly unracist democrats have all but nominated a man whose chief mentor is someone who identifies bad people by the color of their skin.
"Racism is a defect of the heart" -- Ron Paul
Ps...We have multiple military bases in 130 different countries. Over 700 bases. Both McCain and Obama are pretty much OK with that.
