- TCP7, on 08/19/2008, -0/+5Clark brings a lot to the table, including the ability to help unite the Clinton and Obama wings of the party. He’s got a military background, executive experience and foreign policy experience and, like Barack, he was against the war from the start. He’s a white southern Catholic who could help not only in his home state of Arkansas, but in other southern states as well. He graduated first in his class at West Point and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. His grandchildren and daughter-in-law are Hispanic, and Clark speaks fluent Spanish. He is a strong supporter of comprehensive immigration reform and has been an advocate on behalf of the Hispanic community.
Choosing Clark would be a clear demonstration that Obama intends to significantly shift the political debate in this country and that he refuses to allow old school conventional wisdom from DC insiders to dominate our national political discourse.
www.obamaclark.com- YeahDonkey, on 08/19/2008, -0/+2I have always thought he would be perfect, I have no idea why he has not been discussed more.
- nobillary, on 08/19/2008, -0/+3It all might be a mute point since he's already said he has no role at the Democratic Convention so he's not going.
Of course, I'm hoping it's like a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge", then TAH-DAH!
Wesley Clark VP Nominee! - nobillary, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1It all might be a mute point since he's already said he has no role at the Democratic Convention so he's not going.
Of course, I'm hoping it's like a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge", then TAH-DAH = Wesley Clark VP Nominee! - womensgroup, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1There is no question! It is Clark for VP. He is perfect as counter balance to Obama.
After all, Obama needs to defeat the REpugs McCain. Wesley Clark as VP will
destroy old McCain for sure!
Obama/Clark 08 - MacBigot, on 08/19/2008, -0/+2Republicans say: OH PLEEEEEEEEEASE tap Clark for VP!
- Cuchanu, on 08/19/2008, -0/+2No way he'll be VP but I bet he gets a position somewhere when Obama is elected.
- dBass, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1The difference between Clark and McCain is so stark: Intelligence, demeanor, military record, executive experience and oh yea, character. McCain is a complete tool.
Even if your a repug and don't support Obama, you've got to be asking yourself: McCain? WTF?
