- ADVIZR, on 01/29/2008, -5/+8"Senator Obama is the candidate of optimism and leadership, and he will be getting my personal vote." - Michael Arrington
- katie212, on 01/29/2008, -14/+5How much change is there when you have to repay the old welfare state Kennedy clan? good grief! Ted Kennedy is a socialist and wishes to keep people poor and dependant on the government.
- ncairns, on 01/29/2008, -3/+1FILTHY COMMIES!
- morningmatters, on 01/29/2008, -0/+3MA is welfare state? Welfare states are those which are asking more money from the Union than it gives. That would be most of the 'red" states.
- acroyear2, on 01/29/2008, -0/+2Ted Kennedy isn't Obama's running mate.
- 3ugene, on 01/29/2008, -8/+11That's great, I endorse somebody else.
- tonyleachsf, on 01/29/2008, -1/+5I can't say I agree with Arrington's "I'll endorse McCain because he's the only Republican who will talk to us" logic. That aside, I do agree that "based on their positions on the issues, none of them are the perfect candidate."
- darrenjohnson, on 01/29/2008, -3/+18Obama's "Google for Government" bill was one of the main reasons I started supporting him.
Make government records open and searchable so we can see where all of those tax dollars of ours are going! If you haven't seen it yet, Google has a great interview with him on his website or on youtube...- Shambla, on 01/29/2008, -1/+5Obama was prepared when Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the event moderator, asked him the most efficient way to sort a million 32-bit integers.
Obama said he did not favor the bubble sort method, impressing engineers by his reference to a method of sorting out numerical algorithms.
"You answered the question correctly," Schmidt said.
Nice

- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1Yes, I'm sure he wasn't prepared for this going in, by advisers.....
God you people look at everything, at face value, instead of sorting out the b.s. staring you right in the face.
- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1Yes, I'm sure he wasn't prepared for this going in, by advisers.....
- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -1/+1Meaningless anecdote that has nothing to do with anything, other than trying to make Obama look smarter.
- zKman, on 01/29/2008, -1/+2http://googlepublicpolicy.blogspot.com/2007/11/can ...
- sockpuppets, on 01/29/2008, -0/+3I prefer the "youtube our government" plan, where officials are forced to act out policies theatrically, like "LEAVE MEDICARE ALOONNEE..."
- Shambla, on 01/29/2008, -1/+5Obama was prepared when Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the event moderator, asked him the most efficient way to sort a million 32-bit integers.
- DiggLive, on 01/29/2008, -4/+3McCain? Seriously? If it wasn't for the "Let's put God in the constitution", I'd think Huckabee would be second to Paul.
08ama - darrenjohnson, on 01/29/2008, -3/+3They had to pick someone on the GOP side...lesser of all evils...
- Daunting, on 01/29/2008, -0/+4Mccain is the lesser of all evils?
- Sheavenger, on 01/29/2008, -2/+1The American candidate for Change in DC, is sweeping the country off it's feet with a patriotic message that speaks volumns on what it means to have unity and the American way.
- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2Please shut up with this *****. This is straight out of some media marketing groups, mass media campaign book.
I realize you think you can convince the weak-minded to buy your hollow slogan, b.s., but I am not one of them. I like it when you said, "The American candidate", because that in itself is stupid beyond words. You do know only Americans can run for the US Presidency, right? No? Well no *****, now shut up.
- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2Please shut up with this *****. This is straight out of some media marketing groups, mass media campaign book.
- corevette, on 01/29/2008, -1/+4obama makes sense on the democrats side since he seems the most tech savy of all the candidates...
but come on...john mccain?
"He is standoffish on net neutrality, mobile spectrum rules and the digital divide. And he has voted against some bills to fund renewable energy research."
i still stand by:
gravel > obama > edwards > hillary
ron paul > neoconservatives- acroyear2, on 01/29/2008, -0/+1I think you've got it right.
- garryw, on 01/29/2008, -12/+1Romney FTW! Who let the dogs out!
- dogstar0125, on 01/29/2008, -3/+10Who cares who TechCrunch endorses? Being a digg whore gives you some kind of political expertise?
- jeffiek, on 01/29/2008, -2/+4"And while Ron Paul won the TechCrunch primary by a very large margin,"
Yet they endorse McCain???
"can cause real problems in a monopoly-type markets." - I would think that a "tech savvy" group would be able to research what CAUSES monopoly-type markets. But noooo, they go with the worn out old line and choose to support the problem. - mahsah, on 01/29/2008, -4/+3lol techcrunch
- brainboy77, on 01/29/2008, -1/+4i'm waiting to bash the first dumbass rooting for clinton about this story.
- tcardone05, on 01/29/2008, -1/+2Trust TechCrunch for your Election 2008 coverage. The most trusted name in news.
- tcardone05, on 01/29/2008, -2/+3Did anyone notice that they interviewed Paul two hours AFTER they posted this story? How lame.
- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2I endorse Captain Crunch.
This equates to any political endorsement, i.e., jack shiite.
What an endorsement hopes to do is let the endorser think for you, instead of you, thinking for yourself. Think about that for a minute and see how dumb it is. What does someone you don;t know endorsing someone else you don;t know, have to do with your beliefs and ideology? Nothing at all, because you know what you believe in, and a stranger knows nothing, in terms of what you want in a candidate. Don't let others make decisions for you, but then again, I shouldn't have to be telling you that.- MrTito, on 01/30/2008, -0/+3Based on Malevolant's sound endorsement of Captain Crunch, I too feel compelled to throw my weight behind Mr. Crunch. The captain has decades of military experience that will ensure America's prosperity and lead us towards a berry delicious future.
- limitGov, on 01/30/2008, -3/+1Two liberals who support and vote for big gov. ideas.
If you want limited gov...there's only one candidate....
Huckabee is close...but Ron Paul is spot on..... - eminiguy, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2I prefer Obama, my favorite since the day he declared his candidacy, but McCain is the one I would find acceptable on the Republican side. So yes, TechCrunch is not completely out of whack, IMO.
- redescape, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1all for money....
- bathenry07, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1Yep, it is all for money
- homer113, on 02/01/2008, -0/+0All for power!
