          Even if Jews haven't been to their home country, they usually have an interest in what goes on there. The people of Israeli descent that I know are aware of extremist/non-extremist Muslims.

          As to your disagreement with my fundamental statement: I don't have a clue which "O'Brien" you are referencing, probably because I didn't read some random book that you read. Consider your reaction to virii as they are covered by TV networks; did you feel more vulnerable before or after you had a true understanding of how virii work?
