Still at Code Yellow, DHS fears 11 mos of 'heightened alert'
rawstory.com — DHS officials warn ABC News that the country will be on 'heightened alert' for the next 11 months, despite lacking any specific indications of an imminent terror attack. Accused that they politicized the color-coded alerts three months before the'04 elections, DHS is sticking at yellow. Anonymous leaks to a network reporter will have to suffice.

- thinkingbear, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3Shameless politicization of what should be sacrosanct. If there ever is a credible threat I am less likely to believe DHS because of stuff like this, defeating its purpose.
- mvlazysusan, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1((apparently, anonymous officials))
that is a clue that this belongs on the onion
in this day and age there no anonymous officials
just skaird ones - ChristPissed, on 07/29/2008, -1/+1Deporting the israeli citizens running our current maladministration, namely Homeland Security and Justice Department, would cause the threat level to sink below green.
