Burrrrrrrrn!- kolobcreek, on 03/09/2008, -4/+7I need more to convince me than a 17yr old girl with poor grammar. Barack is too much like an IPod commercial. You don't really see the product just how much fun you're going to have after you buy it.

- jstohler, on 03/09/2008, -15/+55This already made the home page today. Digg me down, but it's true.
- peestandingup, on 03/09/2008, -1/+11There's been a lot of duplicates lately.
- iofthestorm, on 03/09/2008, -3/+5Especially Obama stuff. Really starting to ***** me off, because crap like this only annoys people more and might make them not support Obama. Reddit's full of it too.
- fmaxwell, on 03/09/2008, -3/+5Maybe the Obama campaign people could ask Digg to stop torpedoing his chances by running duplicates of positive news stories about him.
But what were you thinking when you saw the headline and clicked on the story anyway? I mean, if you already had seen that news, whether here, on ABC News, on CNN.com, or elsewhere, why did you click on the link? - artliquide, on 03/09/2008, -1/+12Man, how fickle are US voters that we'd choose not to vote for a candidate just because of duplicate submissions on Digg? That's ridiculous.

- fmaxwell, on 03/09/2008, -4/+5Isn't it ironic that a single duplicate story on the homepage can result in countless practically identical comments complaining about it?
- PrincessSalami, on 03/09/2008, -1/+2shouldn't there be a flag for dupes so that a mod can delete stories?
- fmaxwell, on 03/09/2008, -1/+3I'm kind of against that. You could always choose to bury the story, but is it really fair to delete stories, and all of the commentary and discussion, just because the same news was reported earlier?
I'd rather lose the "inaccurate" flag for any political stories, since that flag is abused so much. - Tiak, on 03/09/2008, -0/+3I take it you've never clicked the "Bury" button?... (There is one, it is called "Duplicate Story").
- fmaxwell, on 03/09/2008, -1/+3I'm kind of against that. You could always choose to bury the story, but is it really fair to delete stories, and all of the commentary and discussion, just because the same news was reported earlier?

- rawheadrex, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2Well, one problem is this. I'm certainly not addicted to Digg like some here, but I do check it fairly often. I'd say at least twice daily. And yet, I did not notice the earlier story. Might have to do with the number of digs it had when I saw it, might have to do with the title that was given, might have to do with the specific timing that the two articles made front page.
One thing for certain is, there's something wrong with the SYSTEM, not the Diggers, when you have dupes like this that make front page and receive 4 digit diggs.- Netrilix, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Personally I have no problem with the Digg system. From my end, why should I care who submitted a story first, and whose got Dugg more and made it to the front page? As long as I see the story at some point, I'm happy.

- sonofabeast, on 03/09/2008, -26/+6How ***** scared of Hillary are you people? Any Obama related item becomes popular. It's ridiculous. I think he is obviously the lesser of three evils but I'm beginning to hope she wins just to spite you. His wife is on the board of the CFR for *****'s sake. If that's a change you can believe in, I feel sorry for you gullible fools. Wait, no I don't.
- Jenadae, on 03/09/2008, -4/+8Personally, I'm scared ***** of Hillary. The way she reacts to things, the way she approaches things, and the way she conducts herself are horrid in comparison of what I'd expect to be a leader of ANY nation.
- FATEorFORTUNE, on 03/09/2008, -5/+4that's a bit vague, no? how about supporting your band wagon claims, moron.

- fmaxwell, on 03/09/2008, -1/+11The CFR? The Council of Foreign Relations -- the non-partisan think tank formed in 1921?
OH MY GOD! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! Barak Obama's Wife is a member of a respected think tank that issues advisory statements on foreign policy! Hurry, while you still can get out! Get to the airport and book a flight out of the country. - artliquide, on 03/09/2008, -4/+4I'm not scared of her. I'd gladly open a can of whoopass in her presence. However, she is a fake opportunist who will stoop to immeasurable levels of depravity to get the supreme title of queen bee of the US. Her cheesy tactics are so obvious to me, I can't understand why she still has so many supporters. That, and I like Obama's voting and legislative records and his policies more than Hillary's.
- Jenadae, on 03/09/2008, -4/+8Personally, I'm scared ***** of Hillary. The way she reacts to things, the way she approaches things, and the way she conducts herself are horrid in comparison of what I'd expect to be a leader of ANY nation.

- Caleb83, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1what if it's 3 am on the west coast? that's 6 am on the east coast, it could be dawn. And I wonder if there's potential for a good "she stays up at night waiting by the phone" joke here.

- tehrich, on 03/09/2008, -10/+21Has no one else looked at this submitters user name and history? Seems more like a spammer than a real user. No comments and nothing but articles about Obama for a whole year. I can understand favoring something, but this is ridiculous.
- limpidezza, on 03/09/2008, -3/+18Seriously, who is this 46 year old male from Chicago? I mean, look at his "About" section, it's almost as if this is the official digg user for the obama campaign...
- viserov, on 03/09/2008, -4/+14Maybe because it's the Obama campaign's official Digg account...
- tehrich, on 03/09/2008, -7/+8Would that not still constitute spam? I thought Digg was about users choosing what they like as a community, not promoting yourself.
- faraggi, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2thanks for pointing that out.

- halfdirt, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2Totally uninteresting and irrelevant. It was stock footage. It could have been any candidate's ad, and the child could have grown up to support any candidate. Shameful for a TV news station to even consider this story.
- brstilson, on 03/09/2008, -8/+4Sorry, but......HOW is this an attack ad?
The way I remember attack ads is that they'd at least.....oh I don't know.....MENTION THE OPPONENT.- LBobRife, on 03/09/2008, -1/+4You're not well versed with basic critical thinking, are you?
- DEIx15x8, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1It's not an attack ad.

- catachip, on 03/09/2008, -1/+5What, your going to all of a sudden support the candidate who wants to continue the war and favors tax cuts for the rich? You support the nominee of your party. Right now, they're choosing a nominee. After that, you would tend to support whoever is nominated. You don't just sit at home on general election day and pout.
- artliquide, on 03/09/2008, -1/+3Who else should she vote for, as a democrat?
- DEIx15x8, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1This is America and she can vote for either party! She can pick McCain over Clinton (the ultimate race).

- Jamihabs, on 03/09/2008, -12/+5This is yet another example of why liberals are too stupid to be trusted with power.
It doesn’t matter what this girl’s political affiliation is. Do you think Senator Clinton was trying to send the message that she would be ready at 3:00 AM to protect only her supporters? Obviously not. She is trying to claim she would be ready to protect all Americans. If you can make an argument that she is wrong about that, fine. If you have to stoop to the level of trying to discredit Senator Clinton’s claim by pointing out this girls political leanings, then maybe her point has some validity.- Ender008, on 03/09/2008, -2/+5Not only did you miss the point of this article, but you're also an ignorant *****.

- Lyph5, on 03/09/2008, -7/+6You guys can tell that this "news story" is a counter-ad by Obama, right? Tons of companies do this, record a PR release in the form of a news broadcast and submit it to the big networks who run it as news instead of the advertisement it is.
Honestly, I expected more from Digg.- mrASSMAN, on 03/09/2008, -1/+3Big news networks? This is a local news channel. KONG TV. You're making a major assumption there.

- Ozymandias42, on 03/09/2008, -0/+3Come to think of it, I would argue that the cramping, bleeding, and pain that women experience every single month is a pretty good argument against intelligent design. That or hiccups.

- rutvik1, on 03/09/2008, -5/+2I think Hillary just pwned herself! haha :)
- mikesown, on 03/09/2008, -3/+5Uh seriously, what is the big deal? The girl made stock footage of herself sleeping, which someone happened to use. Even though she may not agree with the use of the footage, she relinquished control of it to Getty images. Plus, it's not like the ad is insinuating that the girl supports Clinton; the footage is merely used as visual filler.
