- LoneRanger85, on 07/17/2008, -0/+5School vouchers would eventually result in the closure of public schools. They simply could not compete. The reason Democrats fight tooth and nail against school vouchers is threefold. They do not want the poor and minorities rubbing shoulders with their children, who already go to private schools. They do not want to lose control of the minds of children, whom they are able to indoctrinate into a bunch of mind-numbed robots who believe that we are destroying the world and Democrats are good, while Republicans are bad. And they do not want to rid the country of an uneducated lower class, who is dependent upon them for government largess and who will mow their lawns, clean their houses and scrape dead dogs off the freeway. Since slavery, the Democrats have excelled at keeping people down.

Under the voucher system, all students would get the same amount of money, thus making education truly more equal, because we haven't done very well at making our elected school boards allocate equal money to all schools, have we?
