Saturday: Four more superdelegates for Obama
thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com — Senator Barack Obama picked up three more superdelegates today. While Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton earned a new one, one of her opponent ’s pick-ups was a defector, so, at this point, today is a wash for her.

- Apokalyps2547, on 05/12/2008, -11/+107Let's make a Digg post every time some supedelegates make a decision. Seems reasonable. There are only 747.
- aliengoods, on 05/12/2008, -10/+27How often can we post stories about superdelegates then? Surely no one on a social news site would be so presumptuous to digg up stories that interest them if it hurt your feelings.

- goomba323, on 05/12/2008, -2/+19There's only about 3 weeks left in the process, if you endured the "Political Spam" (starting with Kucinich, escalating to ridiculous heights with Paul, and now hitting the mainstream with Obama) for this long, what's 3 more weeks?
- mark076h, on 05/12/2008, -7/+6no we have until the election and beyond, we are going to see a plethora of ridiculous anti McCain stories and also a bunch of crap about why obama should be the president etc...
- Failchan, on 05/12/2008, -6/+5No, because most of Digg supports Obama. If that many support him, he obviously has something going for him...
- scotticus, on 05/12/2008, -2/+8well, the outcome of prior fanboydom (Kucinich, Paul) would suggest otherwise.
Let's hope the 3rd time's the charm.

For Clinton to attain a delegate tie, she needs to win 71% in all remaining contests- rdoger6424, on 05/12/2008, -2/+2what if you assume that she pulls 65-35 in WV and KY?
- Fordi, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3Then she's still behind. As the last line says: 71% in all remaining contests to hold onto her slim chance of winning, and that goes up for each SD gain by Obama.

Have a watch for yourself, see what you think, could be a lie, could be the truth.- SteveIsTheDude, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3Nice video. That guy said "my limo". Yeah, he rents a Limo so he can go around and pick up people and blow them. This guy was probably hired by Carville to say this ***** and your a shill for saying "could be truth" ***** You.
- Barackalypse, on 05/12/2008, -4/+0I am not affiliated with any political group or association, so I'm no shill, but I am a pissed off taxpayer who is tired of brain dead voters drinking the Kool-Aid of whatever status-quo politician is trying to convince them he's for anything but bigger more intrusive government. Consequently whenever I hear allegations about dirty laundry I tend to pay attention. Since Obama admitted to using drugs I got to wondering "how does a poor college kid with a single mom afford that?" Well, here's a guy offering a possible answer. See, unlike President Bush who had daddy's money for his coke, Obama probably had to work a bit for his.

- tharju, on 05/12/2008, -1/+5that really pisses me off...im not even sure they care about the party this much. at this point I am note even sure Hillary is worse than the those super delgates who are sitting on the fence. somebody should scold at them at this point.
- SemiSarcastic, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1A better deal I suppose...doesn't mean either candidate can or cannot make any now.
- Quentusrex, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1It's politics. They all have Obama and others trying to get them to decide one way or another. It's another tool to get their stuff done.

- Failchan, on 05/12/2008, -5/+10Firstly, "you're" a ***** goddamn idiot. You clearly don't understand that many Digg users support Obama, so why wouldn't there be an influx of pro-Obama and anti-McCain stories on the front page? Go to any pro-McCain website and you'll see anti-Obama articles on their frontpage. Moron.
- EtherGnat, on 05/12/2008, -4/+6"if you did and knew how it works then you would know that there is a group of people "gaming" digg to get obama stories and anti Clinton/McCain stories to the front page."
Proof? There are a LOT more Obama supporters on Digg than there are McCain supporters. For example Obama has over 10x as many "friends" in the "Digg the Candidates" section as McCain does. Do you really think that isn't going to have an impact? - Fordi, on 05/12/2008, -2/+5"I know exactly what digg is and if you did and knew how it works then you would know that there is a group of people "gaming" digg"
Ok. If Digg is not what you want in a social news site, why are you here exactly? - shreyans, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3'Group of people gaming the system'?
If that's what you call 'a group of people digging what they like', then I guess you're right.

- bhod, on 05/12/2008, -4/+0GObama, my hero!
- mrogi, on 05/12/2008, -7/+2Obama is the George McGovern of the 21st Century. Just like McGovern, Obama excites a bunch of college kids and young voters. They show up at his speeches in huge numbers and broads swoon when he talks. The euphoria of the Democratic Party primaries fades in the harsh reality of the general election. Starry eyed youth get overruled by hard nosed blue collar workers at the voting booths in the general election. McGovern went down to historic defeat in 1972 and so will Obama in Novemer, 2008.
- britt48, on 05/12/2008, -0/+0Interesting-what exactly are the parallels between 1972 and 2008? Don't see it; you gave a lot away when you said "broads swoon"-George McGovern was a primary outlet for the anti-war vote, he didn't have much more which connected him to a movement in 1972(Bill Clinton ran his Texas campaign), Barack Obama reflects a lot more than the anti-war vote, matter of fact, he represents a lot more about election reform and the revulsion at electoral politics than you seem to believe. It is precisely the cynical view that is going down this election year, more of a moment in democratic history than you recognize. We will both hopefully see come November. Maybe you were once a starry eyed youth, I was.

Not really in response to this article in particular, it's just every time I check out digg I see at least 3 pro Obama links and at least 1 anti Clinton and 1 anti McCain link. Honestly wish digg stayed out of politics...but if that's not the case would at least wish it were a little more balanced.
it'd at least be nice if it were little more balanced. - candyman420, on 05/12/2008, -0/+0this election will be the biggest circus ever
- 57girl, on 05/12/2008, -0/+0We need to do away with any potential for a rigged election, and Super delegates (and even regular delegates) can be bought. ONE MAN.ONE VOTE and paper ballots should be used in this election. We need a non-CFR supervised count to assure honesty. Had this been done in 2004, the voices of the people would have chosen our President. This election is way too important to give the NeoCons' the power to 'place' their puppet.
- siktath, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Yes! Pretend like white women don't exist! This will make it all the funnier when the Democrats have a real problem on their hands.
Smooth move, petulantly wanting to keep Clinton from the VP slot. I hope you idiot Democrats do keep them from running together. It will take away certain defeat from McCain. Well done, overplaying your hand, to show how weak you are!
