Salter: Who's the victim now?

politico.com — Salter: He used the words 'losing his bearings' intentionally, a not particularly clever way of raising John McCain's age as an issue. This is typical of the Obama style of campaigning.

  • mt330404, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1of course McCain is "losing his bearings".. thats just a polite way to say that he's an old man with old ideas who is 'losing his bearings' with the real issues that are affecting everyday Americans.

    I mean, at least "losing his bearings" is better than "outdated" or "expired", right?
  • roosevans, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Age discrimination is just as bad as race and gender discrimination. Obama attacking McCain on his age is just as reprehensible as someone attacking Barack Obama for his Muslim African ancestry. Another example of Obama "politics as usual".
