- InRussetShadows, on 08/12/2008, -0/+9I don't share the concern that Obama will win. The gut-check of the voting booth will scare many Democrats straight. The moderates are already McCain's, and more conservatives will hold their nose come E-day. That leaves Obama with no-one but the vapid, the paid, and the dead.
- drachemorder, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I wish I shared your optimism, but the cynic in me says that Obama might win, because P. T. Barnum was right.
- BadgerDigger, on 09/04/2008, -0/+8This answer that people are getting for this question is showing up in the polls.
- soulwarriorone, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5good one johnny2! Think you were more prophetic than psychic--all wisdom comes from Him, amen? Thanks for the submit!
- Nannybell, on 08/13/2008, -0/+7People need to look at his record, especially back in Illinois. Not so rosy. Shot of reality there. He's not your messiah, Dems! Also, his own profanity-riddled book is filled with hostility toward whites. If you want there to be an America as we know it in four years, do not vote for Obama.
- drachemorder, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2I didn't realize his book was profanity-ridden. Although it's somewhat interesting... my mom (a lifelong democrat) read the thing, and the best she can say about him is that "he's certainly had an interesting life". I get the feeling she might even vote for McCain. Obama is just way too alien to people around here, even those who normally support democrats.

Hi-*****-larious!
I've been looking through your comments, Nannybell. Your history shows that just two comments before the one above -- also posted on 08/13/2008 -- you state:
"Yesterday I was listening to Michael Medved interviewing a black pastor named Rev. Perry who has written a book exposing Obama. I didn't know this, but he said that one of Obama's books (don't remember which one, but the one about his life I guess) is filled with tons of profanity including lots of the F word, lewd words, and hostility toward whites."

So let me get this straight: two minutes ago you never heard it, but now it's absolute fact. Do you always believe what you hear without question? You people have had too much sway over our country for too long.
- osko2052, on 08/14/2008, -1/+3The whole problem is most American people are too lazy to inform themselves. That's the only reason why Obama won the nomination. Voting is not to be taken lightly.
- ChristNewsWatch, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3Voting only matters when you have true choice.... not choosing from those that "THEY" want you to choose from!
Think I'll write in Jesus for my vote this year! :)- bernk1, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1The choice this year will probably be between Obama or McCain. There are clear differences in policy and in the people they will appoinnt to government offices, and in the people in their inner circles. If you dislike candidate A more than candidate B, a vote for anyone other than candidate B is a vote for candidate A. I am sorry to disillusion some of you, but Ron, Ralph or Cynthia won't be president in January. As George Will has written, politics is the art of the half-loaf. Vote responsible and vote often.
- drachemorder, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2Personally, I think it's very clear that Obama has, at some time, been considered a citizen of Kenya, and possibly also of Indonesia, according to the laws of those countries. You can read for yourself the constitution of Kenya, and before that the laws of the British Empire, which make it clear that Obama Sr. was absolutely a citizen of the British Empire when Obama Jr. was born, and that such citizenship is passed to the son at birth, and that it became Kenyan citizenship upon that country's independence. That citizenship lapsed when Jr. became of age, but it doesn't change the fact that he DID possess it.
It has also come to light that Obama was listed in Indonesia as an Indonesian citizen as well as the son of Lolo Soetoro, which implies that he was adopted. So he may also have held Indonesian citizenship, and for all we know might still hold it, depending on the nature of Indonesian law.
Given the clear intent of the "Natural Born Citizen" clause in our Constitution, which was to ensure that the President held allegiance only to America, and beyond that, had NEVER held any other allegiance, it is blindingly obvious to me that Obama's candidacy is unconstitutional. It CANNOT be said that Obama's allegiance has always and without condition been solely to the United States. He should immediately be disqualified from running.
