Ron Paul Loses Worse Than Obama in West Virginia
latimesblogs.latimes.com — Over on the Republican primary battlefield, 73-year-old Paul was humiliated by the presumptive GOP nominee, John McCain. Paul gathered in only 5% of the vote, a lousy 5,812 ballots. That's about 1/17th as many votes as those received by his dread enemy, McCain. Paul even got thumped by Mike Huckabee, who isn't running anymore!

- groverblue, on 05/14/2008, -8/+11Maybe if the MSM didn't keep telling people that RP was out, or maybe if the MSM didn't marginalize RP, or maybe if the MSM called McCain out on his anit-conservative positions.....
You get the point.- reed311, on 05/14/2008, -2/+7Yeah, because it wasn't like he was getting 5% before the media started calling him a former candidate. Come on, use some common sense and stop making excuses.
- onetimer, on 05/14/2008, -2/+6What about Huckabee? The "MSM" has been acknowledging that he's out since March, yet he finished ABOVE paul in the two most recent primaries.
Your tired ***** excuses are getting old.
- Kent4jmj, on 05/14/2008, -6/+8Fair exposure by the press for a Candidate who is still officially in the race would solve that problem.
- ssn697, on 05/14/2008, -2/+6Huckabee beat him. Is Huckabee getting exposure we don't know about? Ron Paul is getting fair exposure, for a 5% candidate who says his campaign is winding down, and who admits he can't win.
Yes, I am sure he wants more exposure for his book tour, but the Republican nomination is OVER.

- Ridgeliner7, on 05/14/2008, -6/+9Maybe if Ron Paul wasn't pre-dementia, and didn't seem to be befuddled all the time, got a hearing aid.....you get the point......
- kleenex1, on 05/14/2008, -2/+6Better than McCain who is post dementia...
- Robjayne, on 05/14/2008, -2/+2You are befuddled.
- onetimer, on 05/14/2008, -2/+5Question to the paulities that keep telling me how the "r3[LOVE]ution" isn't over:
If you're raising less than $1000 a day, not gaining any new donors, and continuing to finish at 5% in primaries (to other candidates who dropped out), how is the "ron paul movement" growing? It seems to be by any measurable metric, it's dying.
Can anyone answer without resorting to ad-homs, insults, and strawman arguments?- bullcutter, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1Ha, its a lot more money than _you're_ raising onetimer! you smell like fish! Ron Paul is much smarter than the straw man, that's why you should vote for him in Nov.
