- Cowlesy, on 04/27/2008, -0/+59We MUST Restore the Republic.
I'd hope that most of my fellow citizens would agree.- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -0/+24I do agree.
I'm also frustrated that it's taken this long for people to SEE ACTUAL PROOF that the major parties are more than dirty, they're fully involved in reprehensibly un-American behavior in their attempts to retain control of this country.
- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -0/+24I do agree.
- Xihix, on 04/27/2008, -2/+54This party is so evil now... I don't understand how Paul can associate himself with these people. Someone should make an "Old School GOP" party, and have the current one renamed to Neocon party or something.
- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -1/+22He doesn't associate himself with THIS party, he associates himself with the republicans of roughly 30-40 years ago who were true conservatives. He asserts that the current "republicans" have hijacked and mutilated the original goals of the party he affiliated himself with years ago.
- TrevaLVF, on 04/27/2008, -1/+8That would be the combination of Goldwater conservatives and libertarians in the Republican Party.
- JDenigma, on 04/27/2008, -1/+11The republican party essentially ever since Lincoln has been a big government party along with the democrat party with some exceptions such as loose canons as Barry Goldwater and perhaps a modicum of a message of small government espoused during Reagan's first term. Aside from those blips though, it has been a big government party. Hell, at one time even the democrat party was a "federalist" constitutionally limited government party, but obviously they're radically different today. The two parties have flip flopped and changed throughout time. The whole focus on parties and labels just muddies the water as they're interchangeable and change their meaning over time.
The republican party of today is essentially controlled and dominated by 3 main factions....
1.)The New York style country club Patrician republicans who favor corporatism and central planning and even adore some elements about certain democrats like FDR and favor the views of founding fathers like Alexander Hamilton who wanted a central bank(Federal Reserve) and a strong central government.
2.)The crusading Pat Robertson bible thumping republicans who want a "Christian" nation through the tool of government. They're the religious wing of the party.
3.)The Neocons whose origins stem from Trotskyite democrats who crossed over to the republican party and see their end goal being a one world government creating an all powerful centralist state because they think that is necessary for the evolution of the human race and to eliminate wars. To achieve these goals of theirs, they pretty much see any means as being justified to achieve that end. Nevermind of course that creating a one world government only increases the potential threat of tyranny by consolidating power in an overarching behemoth government worldwide. Maybe you will eliminate wars between nations by doing that, but you will instead create a nightmare government that will shift its focus on its citizens solely instead of other nations and will thus be at war eternally with its citizens. Instead of a centralized one world government, what the human race needs in the future to evolve is more decentralization to the point where we evolve to a world without government. The neocons share some characteristics with the other 2 wings of the party.
So those are the 3 dominant factions of the republican party. I see it as pointless trying to fight for control of a political party. You will constantly be at war with others fighting for control of the party as well. It just becomes a political game. We have to think outside of the box and come up with apolitical solutions to our problems with government.
- JDenigma, on 04/27/2008, -1/+19Forget political parties. Even the libertarian party is suffering from some schisms and spats between members. The concept of these political parties are in and of themself, the problem. Don't be tied down to any political party. Party politics is the problem and trying to beat the government at its own game is the problem. We must work outside of the system and scrap this party system. Don't hang your hat on any political party. It will always lend itself to political corruption and collectivist group think.
- BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -1/+11"Even the libertarian party is suffering from some schisms and spats between members."
Strangely, this is what drew me to AND away from the Lib Party in the 90's. It seemed healthy at first...then just stupid.
I want a New Party. I have for years. I'm used to it.- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -1/+14No, you should want an electoral process that doesn't rely on Parties. I agree with JDenigma 10,006%
Vote third party until we get the two-headed corporate machine out of power, then scrap the system in favor of a candidate-by-candidate evaluation process based on the issues.- BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -1/+9I'll say it a bit differently: The system is contrived and, therefore, broken. I want something with less polarity. I voted third party most of my adult life in pursuit of this ideal and it never made a difference. Not once.
- JDenigma, on 04/27/2008, -1/+12I know many of you Constitutional limited government types will probably disagree with me on this, but given that I'm a recent convert to anarcho-capitalist libetarianism after having been a minarchist, I now see the whole concept of merely voting as the problem. I've given up on politics and the whole political process and I'm now hoping for a future where people can evolve towards a free market, voluntary world without government. Politics, voting is the problem. Even if you can restore the Constitutional Republic, which is a noble idea, don't be surprised if you have the same problem again and it grows and gets out of control again. Giving government monopoly power over people and a centralized federal government in which people also use voting as a proxy for violence and controlling each other, is inherently flawed. I voted for Ron Paul here in Va. where I'm at, but I've given up on the idea of government altogether and participating in politics. People will always get corrupted at the ballot box and use it as a tool to fight amongst each other and control government. It's immoral to use voting as a means of telling people what they must do with their lives and that's all the ballot box becomes used for by the masses as they will simply cancel out your vote. Politics is the problem. Get it out of our lives.
- BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -1/+6Open source "governmentt", FTW!
Something needs to change, anyway. Politics is just another method of The Haves halving haves.
Seriously, does anyone find the word 'politics' to taste good upon the tongue? REALLY!?!? No...you gotta be kidding. Say it again.
- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -1/+14No, you should want an electoral process that doesn't rely on Parties. I agree with JDenigma 10,006%
- sassey, on 04/27/2008, -1/+11Agree, it's the message, not the party which speaks the loudest
- BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -1/+11"Even the libertarian party is suffering from some schisms and spats between members."
- TrevaLVF, on 04/27/2008, -1/+13I am non-partisan. I feel very liberated about that.
I don't advise anybody to throw their support to an alternative party. What I do suggest is that voters simply pick and choose each candidate who best reflects the voter's values without restricting their choices to the confines of a political party. Furthermore, I advise voters to stick to candidates that put our rights first, who share our objections to our government offices being controlled by self-serving corrupt traitors and fascist tyrants.
It's best to work on stacking up the kind of candidates we need to aid our efforts to defend our country from the political and corporate power-brokers to break the bi-partisan (Dem and Rep) strong-hold that they have on our national election process. This way, we can break their monopoly in the Electoral College so that any presidential candidate we choose that happens to run on an alternative party ticket, or as a non-partisan, will have a better chance being inaugurated. This might also help us to restore the checks and balances that we need and to enhance them.
- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -1/+22He doesn't associate himself with THIS party, he associates himself with the republicans of roughly 30-40 years ago who were true conservatives. - dgarry7, on 04/27/2008, -1/+42The delegate process was put in place to help guard against vote fraud because it forces people to get involved in the process. So, no McCain supporters get involved in the process and only Ron Paul supporters do. Too bad GOP.

Robert - billyjack1958, on 04/27/2008, -0/+41This has not been a fair, free, honest or open election season at all. It doesn't matter Which state we are talking about, there are reports of voters being defrauded. Add in the conspiratorial corporate media blackout and it all makes me so sick. It also makes me want to work even Harder to spread Ron Paul's message.
- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -0/+18Unfortunately this is nowhere close to the first election that has not been fair, free or honest. But I personally see a glimmer of hope in the fact that maybe we're starting to expose some of these despicable manipulations of our electoral process.
- radiofriendly, on 04/27/2008, -0/+40Wonderful work---this is how it works---Paul is the only one who inspires folks to show up!
- billyjack1958, on 04/27/2008, -0/+17I heard he had won 7 of 9 delegates before the walkout
- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -1/+30What, this is NEWS that the neocon republicans are pieces of *****?
- pdiddy827, on 04/27/2008, -1/+23oh boy got to love political drama, andppl thought just the democrats were going crazy
- relic180, on 04/27/2008, -0/+13Almost. The neo-repubs are psychotic, the democrats are insane.
- rexblade, on 04/27/2008, -0/+28Boy I bet they hate this.
- conza88, on 04/27/2008, -0/+12They sure do.
- juankovo, on 04/27/2008, -0/+29Is there any particular reason that the GOP leadership is trying to implode its own party?
- BrapAllgood, on 04/27/2008, -0/+12They want you to be certain to vote Dem...why the HELL else would Mister Cheeks be the Party Poster Child? TO BE CERTAIN HE LOSES. I mean, c'mon...Mister Cheeks?!?! Can't happen. No way. (Please, God, no?)
- TrevaLVF, on 04/27/2008, -0/+13Same reasons why the DLC and DNC chose to implode the Democratic Party.
Arrogance. Greed. Elitist mentality. Republican, or Democratic, doesn't matter. These are elitist plutocrats and they're working toward driving our country into the same destructive direction from the most powerful positions in both major parties.- Gilgamesh73, on 04/27/2008, -0/+9Believe me folks, there is only ONE party--the NWO/Globalists/CFR/Central Bankers. This is the reason this is happening. They will use any illegal means necessary to thwart Ron Paul as he is their death.......
- Corrosionx, on 04/27/2008, -0/+6It'll be easier to transform into the Grand Fascist Party once the liberty-lovers and patriots have left in disgust.
- brentsanders, on 04/27/2008, -0/+30Good Question. Notice how many of those in leadership are former democrats? They are almost all former Dems in Louisiana.
Ron Paul is the only true Republican in the bunch. No wonder they don't want him to get the press of winning any state.... not one.
Wonder why McCains people (who have supposedly already won) are fighting so hard to keep Ron Paul from getting any delegates? - brentsanders, on 04/27/2008, -0/+23video of Nevada State delegate explaining http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bknGz9TtEHE

- safeshark, on 04/27/2008, -1/+20Maybe the RP supporters should create their own "bury brigade" and give the censoring pigs a taste of their own medicine by burying all stories about McCain, Hillary/Obama etc. At least it would balance things out a little as Ron Paul currently has the most articles buried of any candidate by far.
- JDenigma, on 04/27/2008, -0/+9That's what I'm doing now. I'm certainly burying any pro-Obama pieces I see.
- QuantumBios, on 04/27/2008, -0/+21Our forefathers warned us against blindly aligning with parties...
- Gilgamesh73, on 04/27/2008, -0/+9The only parties now are THE NWO GLOBALISTS and WE THE PEOPLE. If you don't realize that by now you never will. By dividing us they have conquered us. Wake up!!!
- Jeremiah188, on 04/27/2008, -1/+23Just this morning, UK time, I said to my wife that the three major Presidential candidates in the USA are self destructing and it looks like maybe RP will be the last (sane) man standing. I must say I am very impressed with the quality of the Paul supporters. They are a truly magnificent group and are achieving miraculous results.
