- Krisgi, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2Here we go again.... For the last time.... And with all due respects to motivatedmama and George Clooney, as well as all the other great people who hail from these states... Who CARES about KY and WV with regards to these primaries? They are going to McCain in November... The Primaries are meaningless at this point. Except Oregon, which is more of a swinger.
- Gemfinder, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2Uhhhmmm...let the record show that at least one Oregonian cares about KY and WV — and MT, and SD — friendships aside.
It's better when the win is a clear one, and the nomination incontrovertible. Two states have already gotten themselves thrown off the train, we can't disenfranchise four more.
The UNITED STATES of America, remember?
BTW, Puerto Rico should be granted statehood.- Krisgi, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1Agreed. Completely. I just meant to say that Hillary is going to celebrate her inevitable squashing of Obama in KY and WV and PR to the point that lots of people may think that there is some real chance of these states going to the Democrats in November and generate some more momentum at the last moment in the Supers and remaining states. KY and WV are lost to the GOP in November. Same thing probably with the rest, even if Obama wins in SD and MT. That just leaves Oregon as important to the Primaries and, above all, the Generals. Hillary will grasp at these three states to stick around longer. There is talk on the web of her maybe forming her own party with her 30% of loyal supporters... Imagine. She is just psychotic enough to try and do it.
