- LauraHubka, on 03/09/2008, -6/+58I want all tax returns. do not try to skip any years of reporting. I want every tax return from 2004 to now! Remember back when Bill was running. They only released until 1980. then we find out about some dirty dealing and taking tax breaks that should not have taken in 1979! This is the kind of stuff that Hillary is campaigning against= people taking tax breaks that they shouldn't. It hurts us all when there are millions of dollars not coming from people that should have to pay!
- bluezinc, on 03/09/2008, -4/+6Hilldog sucks, plain and simple. How many ways need it be said?
- notabotiamnot, on 03/09/2008, -12/+2Would you do the same for ODUMBA? get a grip and exhale and wake and if your gonna want all 'Tax Returns' then do it for all candidates
- Monk22, on 03/10/2008, -0/+2obama already released his taxes if im not mistaken.
- hittnrun, on 03/09/2008, -13/+3How about YOU releasing YOUR private information? Amazing how the libs who want to stop the Patriot Act are now demanding private personal information from one of your own. By the way, morons, Internet petitions are not legal. No way to verify the people and no way to sign them. Now, go run along and steal some music. lol
- 2timer, on 03/09/2008, -9/+3Would you do this for obama, mccain or any others? Whats your agenda? Acting in this matter doesnt help the democrats it hurts them.. Pull together!!
- mystcnurse, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1***** the democrats. and the republicans
- DarkShroud, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1They've already said they're going to release them. So what's the point of a petition at at his time?
- happyseamonster, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1When, after the election?
- Sheavenger, on 03/10/2008, -0/+0She should have never said release, with the bones rattling in Billary's Closet, the nerve of stooping so low in the devisive Karl Rove election tactics manual, then say I can fix it back.
WRONG! Obama supporters are made up of the very people she said does not count. That is the issue for Change in DC.
The voices that have been ignored for the last twenty years. How many people have died from these blunderous, incompetent, arrogant, divisive, anything goes dynasty families.
I don't know, maybe they think Americans are so dumb, they will let something as menial as a child's name, (by his Kansas Momma choice for him) Maybe she thought by the ttime Barack grew up, Americans will have also.
Same stuff on a different day by the insider DC establishment of Jerry Springer mentality, of the Clintonistas.
Change iz good for America, we've had a whole century of neglect, now let's get it right for the future.
Barack On America, let's tell them loud and clear, We the People are Changing our Party from the Bottom Up. We are the ALL AMERICAN PARTY!
- Sheavenger, on 03/10/2008, -0/+0She should have never said release, with the bones rattling in Billary's Closet, the nerve of stooping so low in the devisive Karl Rove election tactics manual, then say I can fix it back.
- happyseamonster, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1When, after the election?
- aboutlogin, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1well if they are working with the irs to have them "cleaned" then it may not reveal much on the face of it. i mean, otherwise.. what's the hold up? it's just sources and uses, it shouldn't be complicated, unless you're trying to hide something.
- ChangemustCome, on 03/09/2008, -4/+25I agree. We want to know.
- TFGeditor, on 03/09/2008, -0/+6It amazes me that people are still so naive that they believe online petitions accomplish anything.

- TFGeditor, on 03/09/2008, -0/+6It amazes me that people are still so naive that they believe online petitions accomplish anything.
- macaca, on 03/09/2008, -7/+28This should be on the front page.
- RRJackson, on 03/09/2008, -14/+5Yeah, with a footnote that says, "Another non-issue brought to you by a desperate Obama campaign."
- KSUdesigner, on 03/09/2008, -2/+6Desperate? He's winning the race for the nomination. If anyone is desperate it's Hillary.
- fartfignewton, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1Hmmm yes... he's leading by over 100 pledged delegates. He's leading her in the number of states he's won. He's leading in the popular vote by 100,000+ (and they haven't even released popular vote tallies yet in Iowa, Maine, and several other states which he won with large margins). And he's quickly gaining on her in superdelegates (he had over 200 last time I checked). She hasn't gotten a superdelegate endorsement since super tuesday -- but she's lost more than a few of them. This all definitely smells like a DESPERATE Obama campaign! Hah.
- KSUdesigner, on 03/09/2008, -2/+6Desperate? He's winning the race for the nomination. If anyone is desperate it's Hillary.
- RRJackson, on 03/09/2008, -14/+5Yeah, with a footnote that says, "Another non-issue brought to you by a desperate Obama campaign."
- Eiknujrac, on 03/09/2008, -1/+39Call me cynical, but I don't expect her to release them anytime soon, if ever.
- Texmurphy01, on 03/09/2008, -1/+2Seconded. People should not be fooled into thinking 'democracy' can go this far.
- uberkling, on 03/09/2008, -0/+3Thirded. It's always good in principle to show support for things, and it's great that people can all rally behind an important issue. That said though the practical difference this will make, even with something like 40,000 signatures is basically zero. Politicians don't listen to independant internet petitions anymore than Hollywood does.
- p51d007, on 03/09/2008, -0/+5Oh, she'll release it...about a month after she dies.
- BruceDude, on 03/09/2008, -0/+4Let's hope its soon.
- spaceman84, on 03/09/2008, -3/+73Transparency in government under a Hillary administration? Forget about it.
- Beertap, on 03/09/2008, -18/+1I wrote the petition. To find out why the petition was written stop by my blog at http://beertap.wordpress.com.
- Tenlow, on 03/09/2008, -0/+5Even if this wasn't a flagrant attempt (and a poor one at that) at spam and you really were the person who made the petition, I'd still bury you for misspelling disclosure.
- Beertap, on 03/09/2008, -2/+0Actually I did write it but I could care less how you feel about me. As long as you signed the petition.
- Tenlow, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2I didn't. Nobody has ever gotten anything done with an online petition. If clinton won't listen to Obama, she's not going to listen to a bunch of computer dorks who think an online petition with poor spelling is going to solve anything.
- Beertap, on 03/09/2008, -2/+0Actually I did write it but I could care less how you feel about me. As long as you signed the petition.
- Tenlow, on 03/09/2008, -0/+5Even if this wasn't a flagrant attempt (and a poor one at that) at spam and you really were the person who made the petition, I'd still bury you for misspelling disclosure.
- digjam, on 03/09/2008, -5/+9Too bad only citizens can sign the petition!
- p51d007, on 03/09/2008, -4/+7As it SHOULD be.
I'm tired of all these threads where NON citizens, or citizens of other countries want a voice in what goes on in America.
This is OUR country, if you want a voice in what WE do, immigrate LEGALLY, become a citizen LEGALLY and then and only then you will have a voice in what goes on in America.- ajb312, on 03/09/2008, -3/+7Funny thing.... I guess Iraq would also think it's their country and you guys shouldn't have a voice there..... Just a thought.
- hurt911gen, on 03/09/2008, -4/+1US isn't the only country of the Coalition in Iraq, dummy. And they have their own government and elections, we're just there to protect their citizens ATM.
- lettruthout, on 03/09/2008, -1/+2Right, we're protecting the Iraqi citizens by killing nearly a million of them.
- hurt911gen, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1Right, we're rounding up Iraqis in large numbers and shooting them. Put your tin foil hat and go back to reading about Illuminati.
PS Where do you get your stats from? "Nearly a million"? - wifigod, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_con ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ORB_survey_of_Iraq_Wa ...
You're right to question 'nearly a million', because it's OVER a million.
- hurt911gen, on 03/09/2008, -4/+1US isn't the only country of the Coalition in Iraq, dummy. And they have their own government and elections, we're just there to protect their citizens ATM.
- it5five, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2Well, pd51d007, maybe when America stops inserting itself into world affairs, non-Americans will keep out of America's election. What this country does has disastrous effects on almost every country around the world.
- digjam, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1And what makes you think that everybody who says are Non Citizen immigrate here ILLEGALLY..ever heard of VISAS? MAJORITY of people in this country are LEGAL immigrants... unlike what those politicians who always talk about illegal immigrants...
So buddy..get educated...and get a life...dont say that every body who is NON CITIZEN is ILLEGAL ALIEN...GOT IT?
I am not asking a right to VOTE...GET IT
- ajb312, on 03/09/2008, -3/+7Funny thing.... I guess Iraq would also think it's their country and you guys shouldn't have a voice there..... Just a thought.
- p51d007, on 03/09/2008, -4/+7As it SHOULD be.
- Shogi, on 03/09/2008, -7/+13If this is what we could expect from a Hillary presidency, I'd rather re-elect Bush. At least that way we know he's too stupid to try anything ambitious.
If this behavior makes you squirm, Obama is probably your candidate. He helped get the Federal Transparency Act passed, which is most likely the first thing Hillary would ax. - nyirendac, on 03/09/2008, -3/+32Americans hear this: If Clinton is not faithful with little things (these taxes) why should you trust her with a big thing (the Presidency)
- Musicmonkey34, on 03/09/2008, -0/+5sorry to bust out a Bible verse, but Jesus is pretty smart on this one. in Luke 16:10 He says-
"He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." goes on to say basically if you cant trust someone with a coin, how could you trust them with a fortune?
Common Hillary, show us you can manage your own pennies and maybe you can earn a chance to manage our fortune.
- Musicmonkey34, on 03/09/2008, -0/+5sorry to bust out a Bible verse, but Jesus is pretty smart on this one. in Luke 16:10 He says-
- spyd3rweb, on 03/09/2008, -5/+22Lets get a petition to have Clinton drop out of the election.
- dwu182, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2essentially the same thing as voting for barack obama
- BruceDude, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1I've got a job for her when she's done.
It involves a mop and some soap.
- 2timer, on 03/09/2008, -20/+6You people need to get a life!!!! Always looking to discredit someone.. Thats why the democrats look so uncertain and childish..
- sotloo, on 03/09/2008, -9/+3Well said, who gives a hoot about tax returns?
- tofuMYtofu, on 03/09/2008, -2/+0There's always some element needed to call a candidate a witch. At least this time they're not harping on "I didn't inhale". Thanks to Bush's drunken coke filled past, drugs are no longer a big deal for candidates....but OH TAXES! OMG TAXES. BURN HER BURN HER WITCH WITCH!!!! BTW I don't care much for either one, I'm just pointing out taxes seem to be the post she is being nailed against.
- sotloo, on 03/09/2008, -9/+3Well said, who gives a hoot about tax returns?
- jerryudigg, on 03/09/2008, -2/+14Is a petition going to work with the Clinton's? It depends on what your definition of "is" is.
- jbdobd, on 03/09/2008, -9/+2I agree she should show her tax returns (and remember, this isnt about 2008 returns - this is about every year since 2000 - those should have long been done by now!) - BUT - and this question is genuine - I don't understand the point of a petition? Who does it go to and how is a petition supposed to accomplish getting them released?
- sq2shooter, on 03/09/2008, -0/+6It does nothing but make people feel like they are doing something.
- RRJackson, on 03/09/2008, -13/+3What a bunch of nonsense. She's disclosed her tax information in April every year since the Clintons left the White House. It's not like there's something shady going on. This is a manufactured distraction to keep people from noticing Obama's Rezko connections.
- hawkspur, on 03/09/2008, -2/+4Do you not pay attention at all? The whole point of releasing her tax returns early is so that the American people can see for themselves where the money for her campaign is coming from. Obama has released his early... why won't she? Delaying as long as possible so she doesn't lose votes when people see all the lobbyist money?
- RRJackson, on 03/09/2008, -2/+1There's no "delaying" of her tax info. It will come out in April just like it does every year. If you want to see how she makes money you can look at the last decade of her tax releases for right now and see the rest in April just like clockwork. It's only an issue because Obama is out of ammunition and this was the best his campaign could scrounge up. Meanwhile the press he's generating on this issue is distracting people from all the lies he's told about his Rezko connections. He's changed his story about three times now, but nobody seems to notice. First Obama barely knew Rezko and had spent a couple of hours around him. Then it was a friendship that went back decades. Then it turned out Rezko had essentially given Obama nearly a million dollars as well as helping to get jobs for a bunch of Obama staffers. Your guy is hip-deep in organized crime, so he's trying to distract you with this nonsense.
- jbdobd, on 03/09/2008, -2/+3then where are the Clinton returns for 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007? And speaking of Rezko (who is also a Clinton campaign contributor) - are you really telling me that the Clintons, of all people, are asking questions about shady real estate investment deals?
- RRJackson, on 03/09/2008, -2/+2You have to know that Whitewater was a bunch of partisan *****. The Clintons lost money on a land deal and for some reason that turned into a *huge* scandal. Meanwhile, Neil Bush was looting the Silverado Savings and Loan for hundreds of millions of dollars, only ended up paying a $50k out of court settlement and it barely even made the news.
- jbdobd, on 03/09/2008, -2/+3then where are the Clinton returns for 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007? - lajaw, on 03/09/2008, -11/+4The Democrats are eating their own now. But that is a good thing. The Obamaniacs are cannibals and the show is very entertaining. Who'd have thunk that Hillary would be disliked by so many in her party. Calling her a B****, and C****. When just last year she was the darling of the party. You people are so fickle and predictable. If not for Obama, you'd still be in love with her. This is better than anything on TV!
- Musicmonkey34, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0she was never my darling.
- lajaw, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1maybe not, but if she gets the nomination, you'll still vote for her.
- Musicmonkey34, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0she was never my darling.
- Braeden, on 03/09/2008, -0/+14I respect the effort, but it's hard to take a petition for "discloser" [sic] seriously. =
- yevkasem, on 03/09/2008, -2/+1we're all impressed with your latin skillz, but you don't need to try to impress us. we get it.
- notabotiamnot, on 03/09/2008, -10/+3Why the hell should she? Look at them LIARS like ODUMBA and his RUM DUMB fiasco with his house? he won't man up and admit of his "SHADY DEALINGS" will he? so why should Hillary release her
tax info? - Gullop, on 03/09/2008, -11/+6Got bored of Ron Paul so now the whole of digg hates Clinton, sure quick to jump bangwagons.

- betona, on 03/09/2008, -4/+6...Because as we all know, clicking on a petition on the internet will force everything to change.
I also have an e-mail that for every time you forward it to your friends, Bill Gates will send you $245.- Musicmonkey34, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2a small voice is still a voice. if America has taught me anything, its to hold on to that and fight for more.
- wayzup, on 03/09/2008, -9/+5I'm with Gullop, it seems this site should be renamed ObamaPWNSclinton dot com since about half the stories are either praising Obama or bashing Hillary. I have no problem with it...I'm very good at auto-filtering through the rubble but as far as this story goes, I gotta agree with the Obamaniacs. We've had enough secrecy from the top levels of our gov't in the Bush era to last a lifetime.
Spill it Hillary....if you've got nothing to hide, tax returns aren't exactly like showing off your stained blue dress collection. - skinturtle, on 03/09/2008, -2/+20To you Americans that are so against a guy like Obama, why don't you just go vote for McCain, settle into your comfortable complacency, watch as your constitution is torn to shreds eliminating all your freedoms, while your government goes off to bomb more countries, fighting with everyone until you are even more hated and not welcome in any country even as tourists?!!
Pretty soon you guys will have to stay in your own country for your own safety. You guys are blind and have no idea what this looks like from the perspective of people outside your country.- goddamnit, on 03/09/2008, -4/+1So the country you live in is so perfect? Naw i doubt it. Listen, I'll admit right now our only good diplomats/ambassadors are musicians and actors and our political system is very corrupted but to say you hate the tourists and they are not safe is simply shooting yourself in the foot, knucklehead! So you show them how much you despise amerikkka by taking it out on the tourists, when you should do just the opposite. Otherwise you are part of the problem. Anybody getting out of amerikkka to visit another country is an opportunity to mend the differences. We will take care of our own here, trust us.
- ljf02f, on 03/09/2008, -0/+4OP is correct. It was 1.5 years ago that as a tourist on the other side of the planet, I had "F-- You, Bush American!" yelled in my face. Bush truly has flamed the fires of anti-American sentiment around the world. I lived abroad two years, before Bush was in office, and traveled extensively abroad. I didn't encounter that nastiness abroad until 1.5 years ago. Thanks, George.
- jacksplatter, on 03/10/2008, -2/+0Or we can elect yet ANOTHER inexperienced doofus (obama) and have him ruin what little is left of our country. Yeh, that's a great solution!
- tjbaker, on 03/10/2008, -0/+0Yeah, you're right, we should elect another power hungry megalomaniac Clinton, or a war hungry 200 year old man.....
- goddamnit, on 03/09/2008, -4/+1So the country you live in is so perfect? Naw i doubt it. sure, gonna happen
Hillary: "oh no, the internet folk are against me. Whatever will I do, I thought they would be too busy waffling on about bill o'reily and barrack obama" - 2timer, on 03/09/2008, -3/+3Lets sign an impeachment petition for bush since he's done several impeachable offences..
- tcugrilla, on 03/09/2008, -2/+3Name one. BTW, by merely reading your post it is obvious you are a democrat. "Offences"?
- HolemCross, on 03/09/2008, -1/+3You would have to at least agree he is eligible for a war crimes tribunal.
- hurt911gen, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1He isn't single-handedly responsible for it. If you'd seriously believe yourself than you'd have to bring articles of impeachment against every congressman, senator, and member of the cabinet who advised him and allowed funds for the invasion.
And please expand on how the Prez is responsible for any war crimes that went on in Iraq? They were either mistakes or ill-fated actions by criminal soldiers and Marines, and there's no way Bush or anyone could have prevented them. Right now we're trying to win hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. I was there (outside Ramadi in spring-fall '07). We're trying to earn their respect. Believe me, after Haditha, it's the best thing we can do.
Regards- 2timer, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0No disrespect to you and the others who fought and still fighting the war in Iraq.. But in my opinion the the war was total bs we should have stayed in Afghanistan and finished what we started and showed some respect to the thousands of family members who lost husbands, wives, children, dads, moms that there lives where not lost for no reason? Where in A war Bush Jr wanted to finish for his father? Or was it the money he saw in his eyes from the business side of it?
You say earn respect.. Why are we trying so hard to earn respect? What went totally wrong in Iraq?
War crimes in Iraq he is totally impeachable for... Just the way he went about going to war he's guilty.. Bill Clinton dipped a cigar in a P$#@y and did a year or more of bs to disrupt his work that needed to be done as a president..

- nemodomi, on 03/09/2008, -1/+10I'm sorry to have to say this, but the petition is a colossal waste of time. Who imagines that it will have any sway over Clinton's decisions? And who imagines that it would be taken seriously when the author can't even correctly spell "disclosure"?
- rallythanks, on 03/09/2008, -0/+4The spelling error in the petition needs to be corrected.

- drchewbacca, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0I feel kind of weird signing a petition that has spelling errors. "...so that you can provide full discloser..." If you want to be taken seriously take the extra seconds to run spell check. Other than that, yeah I agree.
- barackcan, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0Can one Hillary supporter please give me a good reason why Hillary should not release her tax returns and White House documents and clear up any voter concerns?
- PhantomPhoenix, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Online petitions aren't legally recognised by the United States government at any levels.
At any rate, she needs to release ALL her White House documents AND her tax returns if she wants to continue claiming she has tons of 'experience'. - weside, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1This is retarded. She has until April 15th to file, just like any other American. There are plenty of other things you could bitch about regarding her instead.
- HomerS1, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Internet polls/petitions are as important to campaigns as screen doors are important to submarines.
If the opinion of the 'internet' mattered in any way, we would be talking about the upcoming Kucinich v. Paul Presidential election this fall. - dmagickingdom, on 03/09/2008, -0/+4come on guys...the biggest petition of all is simply DON'T VOTE FOR HER!!! That would prevent her from being the president, obviously!
- frosted, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Someone please tell me when online petitions have EVER worked.
- bluesnowmonkey, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1When was the last time a petition accomplished anything?
- toldaillmin, on 03/09/2008, -5/+0can you all sign a petition that removes you from barack's bandwagon? it's annoying.
- jacksplatter, on 03/10/2008, -1/+0THANK YOU. My thoughts exactly. Geez people get a grip already. Pull your heads out of his a$$ for 2 seconds.
- poetrychic, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1wow, i had no idea this would generate such buzz...to surfbywire, since i am not running for public office nor have any intention of doing so, and since i am firmly embedded in the middle class i don't see the relevance of asking for my tax returns unless you were just trying to lash out at someone for hitting too close to home with regards to your supporting clinton?
to those who complained about there not being a direct link to the petition itself, all i can say is that i "dugg" it from where i initially saw it...the person who started the thread at the message board where i saw it, originally found it on andrew sullivan's blog, "the daily dish"...http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_di ... you can scroll about a third of the way down to view the entry...
to those of you commenting that she has until april 15th to file etc., this isn't just about last years taxes, this about transparency of where the clinton's are getting their money...there is reason to believe the saudi royal family has contributed heftily to this fortune and the public has a right to know who they are beholden to personally...we already know who she is beholden to politically, so it's time for the other side of coin to be revealed...
to everyone else, thank you for the great comments and the diggs...the only way we are going to be able to effect any kind of real change in this country is by taking our electeds to task not only on their words but on their actions as well....it is great to see such active citizenry, perhaps we're not quite so cynical after all...at least, i hope we aren't...- julia07, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1:claps: :)
- Beertap, on 03/09/2008, -1/+0I wrote the petition and have been promoting it at http://beertap.wordpress.com (yes I know there is a typo - even the NY Times makes mistakes). Visit my site to find out why I wrote it.
- poetrychic, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0thank you!
- Beertap, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0Thank you for digging it! We need honesty and transparency from our candidates.
- poetrychic, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0thank you!
- Crisender111, on 03/09/2008, -1/+2How can Americans support a jerk of lady that is Hillary?
And by the way, I am feminist, but I would support a honest, smart & a non-joker lady anytime.- jacksplatter, on 03/10/2008, -0/+0You're an idiot. Learn how to form complete sentences.
- dkern, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2A petition? Do you honestly think signing a petition is going to force that ***** Clinton to reveal tax documents? Seriously, she would laugh it off- like she always does: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq8aopATYyw
Don't even bother to waste your time reading or signing a ***** petition that is not going accomplish jack *****. - czeman, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1A petition won't do any good. They already shredded the documents!!!
- aleahey, on 03/09/2008, -0/+2Ohhh I can see her now. "Wait, wait, they're...they're signing petitions?"
- webefools, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1The Hillbillary Cat must be let out of the bag...
- eddiea23, on 03/09/2008, -0/+0I really don't see the point of having a petition for this. If anyone feels that she should provide information that has relevance to her campaign -- and she refuses to provide it -- just cast your vote elsewhere.
