- Xuvious, on 11/08/2007, -1/+21At midnight EST the total was $2,777,533 actually.
At 10:44 am EST the total went over 1.6 million for the money bomb.
I suspect the number will surge after people get off work tonight. Like around 8pm EST it should be rising pretty good.- Xuvious, on 11/08/2007, -0/+8At 11:15 am EST the total surpassed $1,700,000 since midnight
That's over $100,000 in 30 minutes.
When added with cash on hand I bet he has over 6 million now. (after spending for ads and stuff) - XxtraLarGe, on 11/05/2007, -0/+7I'm using the Ron Paul Firefox plug-in that shows how much he's taken in. It's currently 11:41 a.m. and funds are at $1.38 million. Where are you getting your numbers from?

- Hortnon, on 11/08/2007, -2/+3Because it's only ok for Ron Paul's supporters to spam Digg, right?
- Xuvious, on 11/08/2007, -1/+2Are you homophobic there miindless?
- chaosium, on 11/06/2007, -2/+1Unlike Ron Paul, miindless doesn't have an issue with gays getting married or adopting children.

Big corporations who control the mass media and have most off the candidates in their pockets and try to control the perception of the masses vs the internet revolution. - LordSkywalker, on 11/05/2007, -2/+7Little past 9am and it's already $4.7 million. It looks on track to hit $5 million by noon, maybe $10 million by the end of the day. Got my $100 in.
- OMGWTFROFLMAOx2, on 11/08/2007, -13/+5Before clicking the story, I thought to myself "Why is Paul Mooney trying to raise money? Isn't he already rich from all of the work he did with Richard Pryor?" Then I saw it was Ron Paul spamaganda. Needless to say, disappointment ensued.
- mablco, on 11/05/2007, -1/+6Just gave $25...I know its not a lot but it feels good to help someone who will actually change our nation for the good instead of selling pieces of it away for personal gain.

- onetimer, on 11/06/2007, -16/+5$10,000,000? Good ***** luck. Looks like another goal the paul campaign won't be living up to.
- vawksel, on 11/05/2007, -2/+4The campaign is set to raise a total 12 million by December 31st. There's been no indication that they can't do it based on past performance. Based on past performance, they should be able to do it if they can maintain the growth pattern since last year, which they also are proving it is doing just that.

- jtingley, on 11/05/2007, -1/+6Here's the status as of 12:45EST:
Some interesting fun facts:
Current Money Raised: $4,786,048
The Money Bomb is currently generating about 3,000 per minute on average.
180,000 per hour.
At the current rate it would take about 34 hours to reach the 10 million dollar goal set for today.
The 12m goal for the quarter could be reached within 48 hours.
It's hard to make any solid predictions on this because of the nature of the curves on the graphs at the ronpaulgraphs site. I defiantly think from what we are seeing that RP will make and shatter his 12m goal by Dec. 31st.- jtingley, on 11/05/2007, -0/+3Update: as of 1:45pm EST the fund raising is at 4,992,427.37.
This shows the rate of fund raising to be about $200,000.00 an hour.
Pretty impressive.

- shocked, on 11/06/2007, -1/+6Why doesn't this article show up in any search or any area on DIGG?
- onetimer, on 11/06/2007, -6/+5For all those without knowledge of the algorithm wondering why this isn't in upcoming or search:
It was buried by the digg community. Campaign donation = spam.- shocked, on 11/05/2007, -1/+4Onetimer, Thank you for that info.. but the article is talking about him raising the money.. as a matter of fact, the webpage this is linked to does not ask you to donate money. Also, if we view your history: http://www.digg.com/users/onetimer it appears that you have only ever posted negative Ron Paul comments...
- Malarie, on 11/06/2007, -1/+5DUGG!
Come on people!! You can do it!! - HollowMarkeD, on 11/05/2007, -0/+3A reluctant Digg, only in awe of how far long tail marketing can get you. I guess if it works for porn, viagra and poker, it works for Presidential Candidates too. Ron Paul has been the first candidate to make use of the SEO "Digg Effect" If he actually manages to raise enough money on-line (through whatever methods; it would of been extremely cost effective for him to have 50 full time social news submitters) he will have enough cash for a more effective mainstream media campaign. With that he has a shot at nomination. So glory be the Ron-Bots - your work is going well. Lets look forward to more spam from the other candidates in response.
Just imagine how the world will change if Digg/spam helps shape history; its almost an anarchic democracy. - egeniuses, on 11/05/2007, -1/+1http://www.digg.com/politics/Seems_like_Digg_is_ce ...
- MalDON, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Nonsense, the people are censoring the stories. If Digg was censoring Ron Paul stories, how did I make this comment?
