- arbiterusa, on 11/12/2007, -2/+18Dear Idiot:
Please learn the difference between the various American leaders. Giulani is no religious zealot, in fact I think he hates the Jeebus freaks. He is a fascist and a neo-con, who likely will replace the American flag with one of his own design, and he'll ship off all those who dissent against his rule of terror to death camps, just like he did with all the homeless in New York. But he is NOT a Jesus freak.- NoStoppingUs, on 11/12/2007, -6/+2lol....

- oldhick, on 11/08/2007, -7/+4Yeah, thats pretty cool. Bitch about people desiring to protect themselves. Forget everything our nations founders taught us about standing up for our own personal liberties and being able to defend our freedom. Look at Venezuela yesterday, supporters of freedom and democracy protest in thousands against Chavez' power grab and masked Chavez secret police start shooting them. Hundreds get arrested and detained for their peaceful protest. They have no defense against his power grab and the creation of his dictatorship. We should definitely be bitching about our freedom, or what little we have left.
- dantrenner, on 11/08/2007, -2/+3Oldhick, you need to get a little education about Chavez. On April 11, 2002 he was deposed in a coup. Two days later the people of Venezuela had him back in power. It's the PEOPLE who he served and he obeyed the Constitution. His detractors he did not have killed and they still speak freely about him, BUT the people know he's obeying the Constitution. That's more than we can say for Bush & Co. Further, there is one man, and only one man running to make America free once again, and his name is Ron Paul. Check him out at ronpaul2008DOTcom

That fact has nothing to do with the US backed coup attempt. The fact that his storm troopers opened fire killing at least 4 protesters has nothing to do with the US backed coup.
FYI, I hang the ***** Ron Paul revolution signs in my town. I'm registered as a delegate in my locality and will participate in the primary. I have met Dr. Paul personally on three different occasions.

I'm a Christian, and I can tell you this - if there is indeed a rapture of worthy humans into the heavens, then many of these "Christians" will be sorely disappointed when they realize that they are still around for the grand finale of human existence as we know it. I'm not the best Christian on the planet and I don't go to church, but I cannot believe that people who associate themselves with the teachings of Jesus do not realize that many of their Christian leadership, fellow Christians, and themselves do not practice Christ-like lifestyles when they support war, inequality, prejudice, bigotry, and closed-mindedness.

Because the CC knows the Mormons are evil people with horns, and that the Jesus they worship, "isn't the real Jesus" see the literature, it's very amusing. McCain hasn't got a prayer of winning, and R Paul if he has a chance of winning still won't stroke the Christian right's egos and pursue Christian empire building. Or rather, empire building using Jesus as an excuse.

As far as I can see, the only conservative candidate with half a chance at a nomination that actually aligns his beliefs most closely with the christian right is Romney. The mere fact that Pat Robertson has let religious prejudice rule his decision to side with Giuliani just goes to show how much of a hypocrite he really is.
And for the record, I'm voting for Ron Paul, and yes I am a Mormon. I'm only arguing this point about Romney because noone else seems to have noticed the real reason this happened. And it IS the real reason.- kfed2, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1I am voting for Paul as well

The Founding Fathers envisioned a robustly Christian yet religiously tolerant America, with churches serving as vital institutions that would eclipse the state in importance… Throughout our nation’s history, churches have done what no government can ever do, namely teach morality and civility… This is the real reason the collectivist Left hates religion… Knowing this, the secularists wage an ongoing war against religion, chipping away bit by bit at our nation’s Christian heritage." -Ron Paul
- rhabd0mancer, on 11/09/2007, -24/+5Did you know that the christian Dominionists are supporting Ron Paul?
- ncurses, on 11/08/2007, -15/+7why would he support Giuliani over Paul? Only one of them has tried to further the cause of establishing a state religion, and it isn't Giuliani.
- sivsta, on 11/08/2007, -4/+3I guess he like the smell of manure reeking from Giuliani?
- LuaPron, on 11/08/2007, -1/+5The Christian fascist movement is not about abortion of gay marriage. The leaders of the movement dont give a ***** about either.
The Christian fascist movement is exploiting the gay marriage and abortion issues to rally support behind their warmongering piece of ***** in federal elections.
They do not back Ron Paul because Ron Paul would seriously undermine their ability to wage war and to control the people. He would cut down on the size and scope of the federal government (where he can with a hostile congress), cutting back on the number of areas a fascist-run government can wield power over our lives. Yes, abortion and gay marriage might have a political setback, but Paul's policies, if adopted, would force the issues down to state level where they wouldn't have nearly the same influence over federal elections. This would reduce the amount of votes drawn to divisive issues, and thereby reduce the power of the Christian fascists.
The fact that Pat Robertson is backing an abortionist cross dresser on his third wife should be very telling. Giulliani is totally obsessed over 9/11 and completely oblivious to the facts and expert interpretation. The man is incompetent and would keep us at war and probably increase the size of government even more.
The Christian fascism movement can then pick up where Giulianni leaves off with some other ***** president.
Short version: The Dominionists do not support Ron Paul because they value power over values.
- chaosium, on 11/08/2007, -16/+15Nice way to come across as an ignorant bigot with the "cross dressing" comments.
- obelisky, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4that blouse *does* look great on you, steve... happy now?
- LuaPron, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4http://images.google.com/images?tab=vi&q=giuliani
- chicoer2001, on 11/12/2007, -1/+51Rudy gets endorsed by the guy who blamed 9/11 on America.
- SiNN4R, on 11/08/2007, -1/+3He also blamed it on feminists.
- KidDynamo0, on 11/08/2007, -0/+16technically doesn't Paul blame America too? I believe he called it blowback. However, I think Paul is right.
- SiNN4R, on 11/09/2007, -3/+16I think he was pointing out the hypocrisy that Giuliani is being supported by someone that blames America when he attacked Paul on his belief that 9/11 was blowback for our own flawed foreign policy.
- Captainhaddock, on 11/09/2007, -0/+1In the sense that America = American people, Ron Paul (unlike Pat Robertson) does not blame America; rather, he partially blames the American government and foreign policy, a separate thing altogether.
- cusoman, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2And the truth shall set you free!
- plato1123, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Wait, so if terrorism is God's punishment for America's sins, isn't Gulianni going against God's will by protecting us from the terr'ists?
- DeviantDragon, on 11/08/2007, -2/+3Quite honestly this has got to discredit Robertson rather than fuel Guiliani. At least, in a world where everybody thinks rationally and makes decisions based on facts they discover. Which I guess means it won't happen in 2008.
- PURPLEDRINK, on 11/08/2007, -3/+1im voting for colbert
- totorototoro, on 11/11/2007, -1/+37"This will likely cost Robertson his credibility" ?
Yep, wouldn't want THAT to happen after all these years of being so credible :p- blackmage439, on 11/08/2007, -1/+5Haha I second that.
Besides, what's the difference between the Rev. and 90% of all other Christians? Another hypocrite with a different name is still a hypocrite...- eean, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2He is also just an evil guy on top of it. Check out the Rev's wikipedia page, has a lot of his past dealings there.
- blackmage439, on 11/08/2007, -1/+5Haha I second that.
- dunderballer, on 11/09/2007, -6/+2They may have difference on some of their values, but they have common ground on their value of the War of Terror.
- katie212, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Which War on Terror are you talking about? Who is our direct enemy again ? I have digressed and appear to forget as do our leaders.
- arbiterusa, on 11/08/2007, -1/+2Dugg down and reported for spreading Republican propaganda.
- EXreaction, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Yep, they all share one common point of view...
Nuke all the ***** who are not christians! - ChimpFlix, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2Actually, in his defense, he did say "War OF Terror".... originated by Borat.
- SiNN4R, on 11/08/2007, -3/+6Giuliani also supports baby killing and his wife kills puppies for a living. Oh and don't forget the numerous divorces. But the southern Christians (not regular sane christians) will support him because he is a staunch supporter of murdering arabs.
- clesters, on 11/12/2007, -0/+11"Robertson his credibility" ???
That weirdo never had a shred of credibility.- Waterrat, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2 Agreed. I never had paid word one attention to any of the crap he vomits to the media.
- johnhummel, on 11/12/2007, -3/+9Why Rudy got the nod from Pat.
From the press release:
“Rudy Giuliani took a city that was in decline and considered ungovernable and reduced its violent crime, revitalized its core, dramatically lowered its taxes, cut through a welter of bureaucratic regulations, and did so in the spirit of bipartisanship which is so urgently needed in Washington today.”
Translation: I know that Jesus talked about helping the homeless, the poor, the sick and the needy - but ***** that *****! Damn it, I needs my tax cut so I can afford another really big house, and I can't do it if a leader actually does what Jesus said to do! So if cutting some "bureaucracy" means some guy on the corner can get shipped to California where those filthy Hollywood heathens can deal with them, fine by me! And since God is vengeance, getting tough on crime - excellent news! Bring on the water boarding and show them! We don't need no stinkin' forgiveness!- kfed2, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3Look up Rudys treatment of the 9/11 firefighters, and what they have to say about him.
- reuscel, on 11/12/2007, -0/+12Wait a second. "This" is what will cost Robertson his credibility? I wasn't aware he had any, except among easily-duped, illiterate, knuckle-draggers.
- ryan850, on 11/12/2007, -0/+5hmmm but i fear that the easily-duped, illiterate, knuckle-draggers are a major part of the voting population.

- ryan850, on 11/12/2007, -0/+5hmmm but i fear that the easily-duped, illiterate, knuckle-draggers are a major part of the voting population.
- bigjoeportagee, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4From now on lets only refer to Giuliani as 911 because that is his entire campaign, and when Pat Robertson refers to him he will have to say "I support 911," Finally I would fully support Rudy Giuliani if Pat Robertson squats 300 lbs infront of me, Pat being an accomplished world record holding leg presser it should be easy for him,
- UnstoppableDrew, on 11/12/2007, -0/+7>This will likely cost Robertson his credibility.
I think Robertson lost any credibility he once had years ago. The guy is just another shill.- blackjack75, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2You mean he had credibility at some point? I assume that was before he became famous.
- gkiltz, on 11/09/2007, -6/+0Given that the alternative seems to be Hillary Clinton(That's right! This country is actually considering a step BACKWARDS in the 21st century) endorsing Guliani is a dirty job, but someone has to do it! He will need to pick up some more people willing to bite the bullet.
This whole election campaign seems to have already chosen it's theme song: That old one by Steeler's Wheel that goes "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you!" - Hetman, on 11/12/2007, -0/+20Rudy 911 is as far away 911 from a christian 911 than person can get 911. I cannot believe 911 that Pat Robertson 911 would endorse him 911. Hopefully this helps 911 divide 911 the christian vote 911. So we can get someone 911 besides 911 Rudy and Hillary 911 into the white house 911.
- jmoo, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Just proving Pat Robertson is phone Christian like most of the rest of the televangelists. While I don't agree with James Dobson on a lot at least he keeps to his principles and refuses to back Giuliani .
- scorchedearth, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1This should tell everyone that both candidates will sell out their beliefs if given a high enough price.Robertson endorsed Giuliani because Rudy Mussolini promised to appoint some religious lunatic to the SCOTUS.
- ralph12c41, on 11/12/2007, -10/+2Hate filled speech = Ron Paul supporters ???
- Shabonkerz, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3Depends on what you consider hate.
- Binarydemon, on 11/12/2007, -0/+13Credibility ?!? Pat Robertson endorsed President Bush in 2004 - how much credibility could he have left?
- shauncorleone, on 11/08/2007, -1/+3Sounds to me like he endorsed a winner.
- bullhead2007, on 11/12/2007, -1/+6I hate Giulliani as much as the next sane person, but calling him an abortionist is like calling Hillary a medical practitioner.
He's pro choice, but he doesn't perform abortions. I'm not burying it but I'm not digging it. Stupid title.- kfed2, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2He probably would if you gave him the tools.
- minorthreat, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3Robertson still has credibility? I thought he lost this when he announced he could leg press 2,000 pounds.
http://www.cbn.com/communitypublic/shake.aspx - slashbot, on 11/08/2007, -7/+4What kind of title is this?
Rudy is not an 'abortionist' as he does not perform them....
Buried as innacurate- SiNN4R, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3No he just chooses to pay for them with taxpayer money.
- jwquinlan, on 11/12/2007, -2/+1Another reason to get to work for Mike!
- minorthreat, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4And it has just came to my attention he is a chef, download the receipt for his delicious shake. Just add 8 oz of virgin mary breast milk, an apple picked by eve herself and 2 hairs from jesus's beard and you too, can lift 2,000 lbs with your legs!!
- soot, on 11/12/2007, -1/+14You guys remember at the Republican debate when Ron Paul suggested that maybe, just maybe the hijackers of September 11th didn't attack the World Trade Center because they hated our freedoms -- But because the United States has a history of intervening in the affairs of the Middle East and actively seeks to secure its resources for our own interests, and Giuliani retorted that this was perhaps the most outrageous and ridiculous explanation for 9/11 he's ever heard?
Yeah, I wonder if he'll do the fair and sane thing and call out Pat Robertson for saying that 9/11 was God's vengeance on America for homosexuality and pornography.
***** hypocrit.- ryan850, on 11/12/2007, -0/+7You guys remember at the Republican debate when Ron Paul suggested that maybe, just maybe the hijackers of September 11th didn't attack the World Trade Center because they hated our freedoms -- But because the United States has a history of intervening in the affairs of the Middle East and actively seeks to secure its resources for our own interests, and Giuliani retorted that this was perhaps the most outrageous and ridiculous explanation for 9/11 he's ever heard?

***** hypocrit.
I couldn't say it any better so I'll just repeat it... I fully expect this to get dugg down... - Shabonkerz, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3This would be a good question for the youtube debate imo.
- soot, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Is that still happening? I thought they chickened out of it.
- ryan850, on 11/12/2007, -0/+7You guys remember at the Republican debate when Ron Paul suggested that maybe, just maybe the hijackers of September 11th didn't attack the World Trade Center because they hated our freedoms -- But because the United States has a history of intervening in the affairs of the Middle East and actively seeks to secure its resources for our own interests, and Giuliani retorted that this was perhaps the most outrageous and ridiculous explanation for 9/11 he's ever heard?
- alkajazz, on 11/12/2007, -0/+5Pat robertson can press a bus!
- cash4chaos, on 11/12/2007, -13/+0Another Ron Paul Smear Campaign by Rob Paul AKA Chicken Little !!!
Rudy will be president get over it ! - TheRealM3D, on 11/12/2007, -0/+7I'm a life-long church-goer and Christian and I have never, ever, considered Pat Robertson a respected leader. He's a whack-job and this proves it. Jerry Falwell is probably spinning in his grave.
- wvaughan, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2It seems clear that Kfed2 already thinks Pat Robertson has no credibility. Buried for being sensationalist garbage.
- cambrown99, on 11/12/2007, -0/+6Pat Robertson had credibility before this?
- SnapETom, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4Don't forget to add adulterer!
- 2tails, on 11/12/2007, -0/+9Pat Robertson is a joke.
- jackalexander2, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1You beat me to it. My response would have been: Wait-What? Pat Robertson has 'credibility'?!
- ChimpFlix, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1THAT'S the common thread! They're both jokes! Now I understand this unholy alliance!
- Tearlock, on 11/12/2007, -0/+6The subtext here is Pat Robertson does not want to endorse a Mormon. The CC don't like Mormons, their not Christian.
- Tearlock, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4oops, "they're"
- DeviantDragon, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2What's wrong with a Baptist? (Ron Paul)
- Tearlock, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3A Baptist who won't give in to the whims of special interest groups like the CC? Not Christian enough I guess.
- digitalhair, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3so why endorse anyone at all?!?!
religious leaders have absolutley NO business endorsing politicians! beware of false idols folks! please read your religious texts!
- floatingpoints, on 11/12/2007, -1/+8As much as I hate Giuliani, if you're gonna slam someone, at least understand the context it was in.
He did the cross dressing for an SNL skit. It's not like he wore it randomly for kicks.
That would be like saying, "Californians endorse a MURDERING ROBOT for governor."
I know people don't like this whole "logic" thing, but c'mon.. without it, you just look dumb sounding off about nothing.- Defuser, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2You sir, are far too intelligent to be posting on Digg. :) Loved the "Califorinians endorse a MURDERING ROBOT" thing, BTW.
- spucky, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3Guilliani is an authoritarian who's ideas conflict with the Constitution. That is what we should focus on and that is why he should never be president.
- lazyfisherman, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3When Robertson endorses a candidate, you just know that candidate is an evil, power-hungry bastard.
- jellygraph, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2I can only conclude that Guilianni has got rabies and Pat Robertson wants to tap his ass in the public restroom.
I don't even know if America realizes what kind of a disaster it would be for them and for the rest of us if Guilianni were to be president.- Defuser, on 11/12/2007, -3/+0If by "rest of us" you're referring to yourself and your three hippie friends that are apparently upset at Rudy because he stopped you from pissing your pants in Times Square and mugging tourists in Central Park, then yeah, it's be a TOTAL disaster. Normal people would see it differently, though. And let's be honest: that's what you really have against Guilianni, now isn't it? He turned downtown New York from a dismal slum inhabited by junkies and whores into an upscale showplace inhabited by people who actually work for a living. OH NOES! Can't be having THAT, now can we? But instead of just saying that you don't like the fact that the guy made New York a better place for normal people, and a worse place for vagrants, you instead just throw vague insults at him.
- pb3623, on 11/12/2007, -1/+6Is Rudy Giuliani labeled a cross-dresser because of his hosting appearance of Saturday Night Live like 10 years ago? And has he personally performed abortions?
Did you know that Pat Robertson can leg-press 3.4 million pounds? - kurtwinter, on 11/08/2007, -1/+3Cross dressing and abortionist are Rudy's only redeeming qualities!
- bunkybrewman, on 11/08/2007, -0/+0Wow submitter. Want to tell us your views on everything else?
/sorry, you lost the war, stop flying that flag - Notasheeple, on 11/12/2007, -0/+5Wow! What a complete shill! He is giving Christianity a bad name......How much $, I mean support do you think he will get now. I hope Pat's "followers" realize now what a crock the money laundering scheme of the 700 club is! If pat can be bought off then who's next? I find it shameful that he professes to believe yet contradicts the Bible on so many different levels. I'm certainly no saint, but I also don't go around spewing the non-truths of false prophets that contradict the Bible. I hope he losses a bunch of people over this.
- bumb1ebee, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Yet again Robertson shows us his true nature- a hypocritical joke. Money comes before jebus.
- alphonseragusa, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1The title should be renamed to:
Pro-war, hate-mongering, assassination endorsing, Chinese forced abortion endorsing, anti-semetic televangelist supports Rudy Ghouliani. - laeger, on 11/09/2007, -2/+1Though I am a Christian, I don't support Pat Robertson
However, I find many Digg-ers "have your cake and eat it too" mentality slightly amusing. First, you bash Robertson for his views on homosexuality and abortion, then you bash him for supporting someone who has highly divergent views.- Shabonkerz, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2We're bashing him because he is a hypocrite. He hasn't changed his own views, but supports someone with clearly different views. Now if Robertson had changed his views, we'd be celebrating.
- laeger, on 11/12/2007, -0/+0Wait, so if you don't agree with EVERYTHING a person says, you can't agree with ANYTHING a person says? To me, that sounds like the kind of religious extremism that caused the terrorists to fly planes into our buildings.
- Shabonkerz, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2We're bashing him because he is a hypocrite. He hasn't changed his own views, but supports someone with clearly different views. Now if Robertson had changed his views, we'd be celebrating.
