- jedreport, on 05/15/2008, -0/+10Just so everybody knows -- The text in the description is a quote from Pat Buchanan (not me!).
- mabs0, on 05/15/2008, -0/+3Indeed. Didn't think about that one when I posted the story.
- AP02, on 05/15/2008, -2/+5Man, I just saw this foolishness. I can't even believe him sometimes. You just have to laugh. Andrea M. could only shake her head in disgust.
- NameTry2468, on 05/15/2008, -2/+7This guy started his career as an "opposition researcher" for the conservative party. He was the pre-Karl Rove. Speaking of Karl Rove, when did we start taking these guys seriously as contributors to the news? All over the MSM I see Karl and Pat genuinely being asked for advice from news anchors. WTF?
- mabs0, on 05/15/2008, -3/+7What infuriates me is that he gets away with redefining what racism is. I'm watching that and expect someone to correct him but nope, no one has the brains to do it. Racism is being against someone based on their race; considering someone inferior because of his/her race. The African-Americans in PA didn't think Hillary was not good enough because she is white. However, some folks in IN did think that Obama is not good enough to be president because he is black. Therein lies the difference. Have these media people have been to school?
- lsumed, on 05/15/2008, -2/+10Pat Buchanan is just scared. He totally ignored what Andrea Mitchell said, because it's true and it contradicts his whole theory.
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 05/15/2008, -2/+9I take very little from a man who says he is a political expert but failed miserably in his own presidential bids.
- DancingAngels, on 05/15/2008, -2/+5I think they need to can. Pat's azz. He has lost his mind and he really let his true bigot show.
- LonewackoDotCom, on 05/15/2008, -8/+5Drats! My Outrage-o-Meter is in the shop, so I'm left wondering why we can't have an adult conversation about this topic rather than yet another Democratic attempt to race-bait.
- ncairns, on 05/15/2008, -3/+6Another DEMOCRATIC attempt to race-bait?!
Apparently your ***** brain is in the shop as well.
- ncairns, on 05/15/2008, -3/+6Another DEMOCRATIC attempt to race-bait?!
- isparadiselost, on 05/15/2008, -3/+2Boy people still love to jump on the sex/race/orientation bandwagons! I hope Obama does win. I want to watch everyone feel the pinch once he implements his grand plans for Amerika. You'll love them if you're Socialist/Communist. Otherwise you'll be thinking about 2012 fast.
- mabs0, on 05/15/2008, -2/+1Do you even know what those words mean? Doubt it or you wouldn't use them interchangeably. Anyway, McCarthyism is really really over-rated.
- ProfessorSYM, on 05/16/2008, -0/+0Some more choice words from Old Man Buchanan:
White House advisor Buchanan urged President Nixon in an April 1969 memo not to visit "the Widow King" on the first anniversary of Martin Luther King's assassination, warning that a visit would "outrage many, many people who believe Dr. King was a fraud and a demagogue and perhaps worse.... Others consider him the Devil incarnate. Dr. King is one of the most divisive men in contemporary history." (New York Daily News, 10/1/90)
Trying to justify apartheid in South Africa, he denounced the notion that "white rule of a black majority is inherently wrong. Where did we get that idea? The Founding Fathers did not believe this." (syndicated column, 2/7/90)
