- thejoshuablog, on 09/05/2008, -0/+13FTA: "Palin's value to those patriarchs is clear: She opposes just about every issue that women support by a majority or plurality. She believes that creationism should be taught in public schools but disbelieves global warming; she opposes gun control but supports government control of women's wombs; she opposes stem cell research but approves "abstinence-only" programs, which increase unwanted births, sexually transmitted diseases and abortions; she tried to use taxpayers' millions for a state program to shoot wolves from the air but didn't spend enough money to fix a state school system with the lowest high-school graduation rate in the nation; she runs with a candidate who opposes the Fair Pay Act but supports $500 million in subsidies for a natural gas pipeline across Alaska; she supports drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve, though even McCain has opted for the lesser evil of offshore drilling. She is Phyllis Schlafly, only younger."
- rockdawg, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1I totally agree with you.
- america01, on 09/05/2008, -0/+0You are an idiot! I know it's probably above your ability to comprehend, but Americans want to see decent honorable leaders who love and appreciate their country as our leaders. Sarah Palin is exactly what we need in this election. She is new, inspirational, intelligent, and most of all...she's a conservative! Try to spread lies about Palin. Try to spread rumors about anything you like. But understand, she has an 80%+ approval rating. That's probably higher than your approval rating in your own home, if you have one. McCain is a true American hero, who put his life on the line so idiots like you can spout your stupidity to the world. Obama is nothing more than a socialist who has accomplished absolutely nothing! Biden is a democrat retread who cannot come up with an intelligent idea without plagiarizing someone else. Michelle Obama is a nasty, angry woman. Notice how the democrats have shut her up because she has nothing positive to add to the debate. Cindy McCain has accomplished more in her life than Michelle Obama could ever dream of. She would be a terrible uninspiring first lady. Bottom line: the republican candidates are honorable, decent, patriots. The democrats are miserable apologists who will destroy this great country. To vote for Obama you must either be a complete failure in life, on his payroll, or a socialist/communist.
- JenniferInMO, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Thank you! It is insulting to women to appoint an unqualified person to the job. While I share the same plumbing with Palin. I share none of the values or beliefs. She maybe a sharp woman but her actions and beliefs do nothing but insult women everywere. She is no role model for young women. The message is not "you can do anything if you focus and work hard enough," or "Work hard and be tenatious," rather it is you can do everything if you lie, step on everyone, be overtly disrespectful to others, coddle up to the big boys and discard all ethical and moral rules. And she is not an example of a woman I want our young men to have of women.
- sullivanst, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2FTA: Palin shares nothing but a chromosome with Clinton. Her down-home, divisive and deceptive speech did nothing to cosmeticize a Republican convention that has more than twice as many male delegates as female, a presidential candidate who is owned and operated by the right wing and a platform that opposes pretty much everything Clinton's candidacy stood for -- and that Barack Obama's still does. To vote in protest for McCain/Palin would be like saying, "Somebody stole my shoes, so I'll amputate my legs."
