- kmom5, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6Shouldn't she already know where McCain stands on issues, what his policies are?
She accepted his offer not knowing that?- progressiveEC, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6I just hope this isn't some inverse intelligence plan here where the dumber they get the more voters get off the issues.
- MediaWeasel, on 09/07/2008, -0/+3Seeing that she didn't have a clue about what was going on in Iraq it sems clear that she has no idea of current issues and politics in the world ouside Alaska. I also doubt her ability to speed-learn, given that it took her quite some time (six colleges?) just to get a journalism degree.
Her rise through the ranks isn't particularly noteworthy either, given the reports that the low population of Alaska doesn't present much challenge to anyone wanting to climb the political ladder, and her behaviour in office in Alaska doesn't suggest that she has much of a clue apart from using bullying tactics to get her way.
My feeling is that no matter how much coaching she gets she's going to fall flat on her face when she eventually gets her face to face with the world's media who want answers and not empty rhetoric. - ElGubrush, on 09/07/2008, -0/+3Even an 80's montage couldn't get her up to speed in two weeks. Unfortunately, I don't think they're teaching her the issues. Rather, it is my theory that they're teaching her to lie her ass off and skirt the issues in favor of direct personality attacks and generic talking points. Not being ignorant don't enter into it.
