- BowieX, on 09/03/2008, -0/+1Anyone know what -- or know how to find out -- the per capita earmark rates are for U.S. cities and towns, and compare? Didn't see any mention of this in the article. Could be campaign ammo.
"McCain First, Alaska Second, Country Third" might be in order :p

- spenderaka, on 09/03/2008, -4/+1One of the smaller cities in the US, "Boston" received $22 Billion dollars with the Democratic Congress under Tip O'Neal, Speaker of the House. Thats $38327.00 for every man woman and child in Boston. The current population count is 547,000 people.
Thank you one and all for your tax contribution. It will be the gift that keeps on sucking you dry for the rest of your lives. If you don't know about this blunder, it has already killed people because of bad construction and lack of oversight. The locals have second thoughts about using the tunnel and choose to avoid it all together. Your children will be paying for the repair and upkeep for generations to come. Google Big Dig Cost Explodes To $22 Billion - AvangionQ, on 09/03/2008, -3/+1I see little wrong here, and while I have *many* other complaints about Sarah Palin, this won't be one of them ... on the federal level, this is chump change -- and improvements to infrastructure and quality of life are in the best spirit of what federal funds are supposed to accomplish ...
- PolishLogic, on 09/03/2008, -1/+1Unbelievable!
To think that the federal government pissed all that money away on worthless things like sewer repairs, youth centers, and transportation. Obama, McCain, Biden, and the rest of Congress should be ashamed. That money could have been better spent on that crucial bridge that Senator Stevens was lobbying for, which Palin so heartlessly opposed.
