- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -7/+13Not looking good for Palin!
But all this is right up Bush ally! Abusing their power!
I bet Bush Loves Sarah!- Bith8654, on 09/01/2008, -1/+1Well hopefully sarah doesn't love bush.
- jdh24, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1The Huffington Post has found a surefire way to derail McCain/Palin: spamming the internet with as many negative articles about them as possible. Absolutely ingenious, and not annoying in the least!
- jhopelain, on 08/31/2008, -7/+12The facts are a perfect primer on what this potential VP would be like in office. Here's a pop quiz - fill in the blank: McCain is to Bush as Palin is to _____. Just when we thought we were finally rid of the secrecy enshrouded, power abusing, law-bending, neocon, hypocrite Cheney, he comes back as a hockey mom beauty queen!
- jhopelain, on 08/31/2008, -9/+3The facts you outline are a perfect primer on what McCain's VP candidate would be like in office.
- K8Rose, on 08/31/2008, -6/+8Another Key point is that Monegan (the man she fired) was never even contacted by the McCain campaign in the "vetting" process. Seems like they really screwed up here. Anyone with Any connection to this scandal should have been contacted by the campaign....DUH!
Geez..this needs to be pushed and talked up!! Their lack of thoroughness and weak analytic thinking....
Isn't this "first choice" supposed to be the initial example of the kind of leader that McCain will be. They really circled around Obama and watched closely when he choose Biden because that was his biggest decision thus far as a candidate. McCain and his camp really were blind on this one.... If he really has these emails, this will be gigantic.... Wow... on top of things huh Rove?
Keep talking about this folks...- Sfenton, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1Maybe they didn't need to talk him after they told him
THAT HE TASERED A 10 YEAR-OLD.- mikelieman, on 09/01/2008, -1/+1Isn't that a Republican Family Value these days?
- Sfenton, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1Maybe they didn't need to talk him after they told him
- anubis2night, on 08/31/2008, -6/+10That audio file was quite interesting. Nothing like having a private conversation about your boss and her family history with another government employee to get a guy fired without putting attention on your boss, blow up into a article about the very thing your trying to cover up. Now if this is going on and there's any substance to the rumor about her pretending to be pregnant, then I can see why the republicans like her so much. She has all the virtues they secretly want their candidates to have why she espouses all the virtues that they want the public to have. I think I've seen enough of the republicans for a long time.
- TSK05, on 08/31/2008, -6/+8Worse than we think? This has been touted since the first day she was announced to be VP.
The man was a power tripping cop, threatened to kill his wife, beat her, tasered her 11 year old child and all he got was a 5 day suspension due to unions. She asked a guy who served at her pleasure to fire him and he refused - do you all want police safety commissioners who like cops which abuse their power?- Actionmac1, on 09/01/2008, -4/+2Due Process of LAW... I know the reDMBlicans don't respect that RIGHT but he has that right.
While palin is getting her due process of law she would deny her brother in-law and Monegan theirs. - jforjools, on 09/01/2008, -1/+3If the allegations are true. The ex-bro-in-law is a REAL *****.
My best friend is a cop...and is not always a 'fan' of the beaucratic system that monitors, promotes, demotes, hires and fires. But my friend and I are in complete agreement: ALL cops are threatened by this sort of managerial *****. If the allegations are true, then there are above-board means to deal with this.
....Anyone thinking of the fired US attorneys right now?? - babar77, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2These allegations came out during a messy custody battle... take with a grain of salt until evidence has been shown.
BTW - the tasering happened because the 11 year old kid wanted to know what it felt like. The cop set his taser to TEST (it's lowest setting) and did it. Reckless? yes. But not nearly as abusive as Palin would like you to believe.
- Actionmac1, on 09/01/2008, -4/+2Due Process of LAW... I know the reDMBlicans don't respect that RIGHT but he has that right.
- mark076h, on 08/31/2008, -9/+10Huffingtonspam buried
- davidg11, on 08/31/2008, -6/+10Yep not looking good for Palin.
Now I want you to try to pretend to be a normal, middle of the road, moderate american. Not a lefty liberal.
Palin now tells you: "You know I did think that state cop, who was my sister's husband, deserved to be fired because he beat her up and he also had the good judgement to TASER my 10 yr. old nephew."
You tell me, as a moderate, middle of the road american, how you react to that explanation.
Horror of abuse of power? Or standing ovation of applause?
This is why you liberal Obamaites are going to lose the election. You can not even imagine how the normal everyday guy/gal is going to look at a "scandal" like this. And how YOU are going to look attacking her on this.
This is why McCain/Palin wins the general election. You know it and I know it.
Hence the 100 anti-Palin digg submissions an hour: FEAR- yuduke, on 08/31/2008, -6/+2Regardless of what the whacko brother in law did, he should have been arrested and the judicial system should have been used. An executive (mayor, governor, president) is not the judge, jury, or executioner. That is the America that I live in and as it was set up by the founding fathers. That is the problem we have with her -- her methods, not her motives. Let me spell it out: She-abused-the-power-of-her-office.
- 17999, on 09/01/2008, -1/+4Well put, davidg
- Actionmac1, on 09/01/2008, -6/+2what make you think you are NORMAL... and that's why you reDUMBlicans are going to lose.
After all the law breaking that went on in the last 7 years, how do you think it will be received. DA - jforjools, on 09/01/2008, -6/+3As a woman or as a parent, I do NOT stand in judgment of Sarah Palin.
But as a citizen and as a taxpayer, I do NOT approve of ANY political official's abuse of power.
It has nothing to do with being a 'lefty'.
- TheJimid, on 08/31/2008, -7/+9McCain / Palin 08 : Be glad he's not your pilot and she's not your sister-in-law.
- 17999, on 09/01/2008, -8/+14huffington post: giving spam a bad name.
- georgemason01, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1Yet unlike some spam it is immune to being buried...watch it go to the front page.

cmon digg, pick up the pace! 9 out of 10 just isn't good enough! - smsnead2, on 09/01/2008, -4/+7I thought Obama's message was all about "changing" the tired political ways of the past. Are all of you missing his message? Who are you trying to prove a point to? I'm on the fence on this election and seeing this type of display from his followers makes me wonder if it's a side I want to be on.
- jforjools, on 09/01/2008, -4/+2Ugh. Too bad for you that you'd consider wasting your vote based on the 'followers' of *any* candidate.
- Sogladtobehere, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1Really, do you judge a football team on their fans? No, you judge a football team on their players. The fans are just the fans. I feel sorry for America if Obama's followers are able to put you on the fence. Try having your own opinion of the candidates. Did you see Obama's speech? McCain's? Or is it too difficult for you to do your own research on your candidates? ***** ridiculous comment.
- vault, on 09/01/2008, -5/+12Huffpo = buried as spam
- jeebodon, on 09/01/2008, -5/+4All these mindless anti-Palin articles are proving the fact that the choice of Palin has many Liberals worried about the election.
- welliwonder, on 09/01/2008, -2/+3Eh, I'd let her slide for that. ***** the douche bag, but she seems ill experienced and an attempt to be "a carrot on a stick" for female voters.
- joshwehatetech, on 09/01/2008, -2/+1This is going to probably be one of those moments the Democrats are going to look back on and point at where it all started to go wrong. If their campaign has any idea on the kind of hell that will be springed back on them from the backlash these stories are going to cause them they should be prompty stopping this madness and pulling in the places this filth is coming from. It is one thing to sit there and question her experience since that is a real subject of interest and debate, but these stories about her "hiding" the pregnancy of her child and what will become of this story to most Americans is a strong woman governer fighting a corrupt cop that tased a child and physically beat her sister are going to be used by the Republican party to strengthen her position as someone who is ready to lead and who has fought "corruption" including her tracked record they are already pushing.
I have been on the fence and probably would vote 3rd party anyway because I firmly don't believe we should have a 2nd party system, but this is only going to show this is more of the same from the Democratic party that is pushing a reform/change agenda and what we are getting is probably some of the lowest personal attacks I have seen in this election so far. It might almost be a blessing that a hurricane is coming that is going to take a lot of the attention away from this mess, but you better believe the Republicans will absolutely use this debacle to pick up a lot of family value voters and quite a few woman that might sit on the other side of the fence on the social issues.
If you are strong supporter of Obama you should be starting a new Digg thread to get this trash removed and start talking about real talking points such as her stances and her position to lead. These are real talking points and what maters not such trash that is going to be used to bury your chances.- mikelieman, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2Ok, here's a real talking point.
Sarah Palin believes that science supports the supposition that the earth is less than 10,000 years old.
She's unqualified for a seat on a SCHOOL BOARD much less any significant office.
- mikelieman, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2Ok, here's a real talking point.
- jbdobd, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1Seriously, doesn't this just make her more attractive in the eyes of most Republicans?
- mooseontheloose, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1Can we add a "Palin Bashing" subtopic in Digg preferences so I can uncheck the damn box?
- Someprogr, on 09/01/2008, -0/+0We're no strangers to love.......
