- BreakpointNate, on 08/29/2008, -4/+0First female VP nominee of a party that actually has a shot at the White House.
Libertarian Party LOL- paulotto2007, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3Troll,
It shows that the LP is more than 30 years ahead of the times compared to the GOP... actually, this isn't "progressive" for the GOP at all... look at what the GOP is doing, and its values represent medieval times at best...
You also incorrectly assume that the LP "will never" have a shot at the White House... not ever, not in 10, 20, 50, or even 100 years... you assume that the GOP/Dem duopoly is infinite... And let us hope that it is not, because if it is then future Americans can look forward to no liberty, more debt, and poverty.
You also might want to consider that the LP is also about principle and ideas, and those ideas are not meant to be limited to just the LP.
BreakpointNate, I was just starting to like McCain's VP pick... but now, I don't know... really, you're just another shill that cares little about anything principled.
Don't troll.

I think Geraldine Ferraro, who was the Democrats VP candidate, running with Walter Mondale, might disagree with the story as well!
Paulotto, I think you and I can agree at a minimum, that Palin shouldn't be blamed for the ignorance of others. Take a look at this article from Seattle:

Didn't mean to leave out Ferraro in response to the troll... she was really the first to "have a shot at the white house".
Factually, Nathan was the first to get an electoral vote. Trivial? Maybe it seems that way to some now. In the future? Maybe not.
As for Palin, a very interesting VP pick from McCain... gutsy, like the article said it could be a genius move or one Republicans will lament for a long time... I'll admit that I hadn't even heard of her until today...
As a Libertarian, I'm not uncomfortable with the thought of someone not having "enough experience". I've never voted on "experience" anyway. I vote on ideas, philosophy, and for Liberty.
The so-called "experience" argument is an argument for more career politicians and against 'a government of the people by the people'. In other words, it's an argument for statism.
I will still be voting Libertarian... and it's not a wasted protest vote for me, I'm libertarian on principle all the way.
But in many ways I think Palin is now just as interesting a political story as Obama.
