Palin Heightens Rhetoric on Abortion - CNN
cnn.com — "Palin opposes abortion in all cases, including rape and incest, except when a mother's life is in danger, and said she believes Roe v. Wade should be overturned and the decision given to the states." - Women beware - A McCain/Palin regime would set women's rights and all civil rights back to the stone age.

"stone age" probably - but a repeat of the last 8 years of divisiveness would be bad enough. Also see:

...regarding wrongly stating Obama's positions to inflame and mislead - pandering to every possible extremist vote.
Divided we fall. Haven't we had enough? - liberD, on 10/11/2008, -0/+8Palin is the one with "radical" views regarding abortion rights.
- spoons10, on 10/11/2008, -0/+7I am sorry but if a woman gets raped it should not be up to the government on whether she should have the baby. Some would consider the baby a symbol and reminder of what happened.
- kismetropolis, on 10/11/2008, -0/+5Obama on choice:
http://fightthesmears.com/articles/15/wildaccusati ... - his real position.
Now that you know what his real position is, the idea that a rape or incest victim should be FORCED to carry a baby implanted on her by a rapist (or worse, a rapist RELATIVE) is the radical one. - lweissberg, on 10/11/2008, -0/+6Actually, I've been hoping someone would bring up the abortion issue. Last time I checked, the majority in this country is pro-choice. And even among the anti-abortion supporters (including McCain, BTW) their stance is not nearly as extreme as Palin's regarding rape and incest victims. I would love to hear here announce that on national television. (I know it came up during the Couric interview, but she slithered out of the question). Let's bring her views to the forefront.
- cattletracks, on 10/11/2008, -0/+6Another issue to push Sarah on is end of life issues. How does she feel about the Terri Schiavo case? I have a feeling it's obvious, but there are a lot of folks out there that probably haven't a clue. There are a lot of voters in the golden years that might not take too kindly to the thought of being forced to be kept alive by tubes and machines.
- quixand, on 10/11/2008, -0/+4Any person pro-life is ***** crazy. There are too numerous of reasons not to want a child. There is only one reason you want one.
To tell people they don't have a choice should something like a rape happen, or a simple accident, ( pills aren't 100% safe ) is wrong.
This is America, and America is about choices. If scientists tell me a 4 week old clump of cells isn't a human being, that should be good enough for everyone. What you choose to do with that info, is up to you. - normlsparky, on 10/12/2008, -0/+1This is one of the reasons the McCain campaign has kept her hidden.
