Olbermann Slams Clinton Camp: Timeline Of Moving Goalposts
huffingtonpost.com — I saw this last night. It's unbelievable.
- 1659 diggs
- digg it
- ParkBeam, on 05/07/2008, -43/+6He should have slammed her for the "Obliterate Iran" comment. You have not redeemed yourself yet Olbermann.
- didiman, on 05/07/2008, -13/+3Olbermann is only relavant in his own mind and on digg. Im actually surprised the tool is still on the air.
- itbescott, on 05/07/2008, -1/+2Yeah, you're sooo right! That's why his ratings have gone up 81% since a year ago. :D
- aliengoods, on 05/07/2008, -1/+9He did slam her for it. He said she was further to the right than McCain on that issue. Do you think that's a compliment?!
- yelofnivek, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1this is two months old...
- didiman, on 05/07/2008, -13/+3Olbermann is only relavant in his own mind and on digg. Im actually surprised the tool is still on the air.
- Jacksonian, on 05/07/2008, -3/+115This is hilarious. Through his use of humor and irony, Olbermann underscores the pathology-- and the pathetic nature-- of Clinton's bid for the Democratic nomination.
- Elliuotatar, on 05/07/2008, -0/+10If this was Jon Stewart the clip would have ended with him saying he's found the one person who fits that description, and he would ask them who they're going to vote for and they wouldn't say Hillary.
- jabberwolf, on 05/07/2008, -9/+1Well about every upcomming state seems like they will be voting for Hillary except Oregon.
So game still on.
And if Florida is added (where both were on ballot) a tougher decision for Supers. - Gorgamel, on 05/07/2008, -3/+1Why is everyone pressuring her to quit? Doesn't that go against the whole 'voting' system? Why not let everyone decide, instead of pressuring a candidate to forfeit?
- augustcandi, on 05/07/2008, -27/+6Your crazy. Olbermann is the sh1t!
- yellowfish04, on 05/07/2008, -1/+11My crazy what? I think you dropped a noun somewhere..
- jonohull, on 05/07/2008, -3/+152Why is Olbermann the only mainstream guy to be saying stuff like this?
- yellowfish04, on 05/07/2008, -4/+17Because there can only be one..Olbermann
- rpebble, on 05/07/2008, -2/+9I mean the next guy to come along will have to chop off his head to assume his place, and while that would make pretty good TV, Olbermann is far too awesome for that.
- Pillage, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1or have a better baseball card collection.
- rpebble, on 05/07/2008, -1/+3The highlanders were certainly known for their baseball collections.
- Pillage, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1or have a better baseball card collection.
- Steven8890, on 05/07/2008, -2/+5Because there are really only two opinion shows on the news networks today: Countdown, and The O'riley Factor.
- KLBP, on 05/07/2008, -1/+17Colbert and Jon Stewart have also done a pretty good job of telling it the way it is. It seems that only those are supposed to be funny and sarcastic are able to tell the truth.
- nihilite, on 05/07/2008, -0/+8With US Politics you either have to laugh or cry.
and noone wants to see a grown man cry.- Lugano, on 05/07/2008, -0/+4What about a grown woman, who is trying to become president?
- known, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Dear Americans,
Please shun innocence and ignorance towards rest of the world.
- nihilite, on 05/07/2008, -0/+8With US Politics you either have to laugh or cry.
- farfegnugen, on 05/07/2008, -3/+4Olbermann is the man. End of story.
- junkwheel, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1Because of the unfortunate fact that most people want biased, hyped up, stories which don't test their brains and instead play to their uneducated positions rather than real news explained truthfully at depth.
And because of the people who really have hold of the media strings. - jarvismak, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I think that would be because he's not as mainstream as some of us would like.
- Pillage, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Because the sportscaster loves him some Obama.
- BananaGrabber, on 05/07/2008, -65/+4Buried. More huffingtonpost spam.
- MidgardMurda, on 05/07/2008, -1/+16Why do people seem to think we care about why you buried something? Just bury it and be on your way...we don't care why.
- neognostic, on 05/07/2008, -1/+9Judging by his username, appears to be a Republican congressman or senator.
- kenedamick, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3You just won an internet with that.
- afx1, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3zing
- thethinktank, on 05/07/2008, -5/+28So Hillary has a good 7 voters on her side that really count. I fart in their general direction. Gobama.
- bokep, on 05/07/2008, -47/+3I'm not a big fan of Hillary myself, but this is taking things way out of context.
- LBobRife, on 05/07/2008, -1/+9In summarizing many things get left out, but the overall point still rings true, yes? I think it does.
- carbbomb, on 05/07/2008, -1/+22You can add the popular vote to that list.
- Heavypettingzoo, on 05/07/2008, -4/+26Unfortunately the people doing most of the voting won't be able to understand what that was about.
- Barclay1188, on 05/07/2008, -2/+7Probably because he talked too fast and used big words.
- avaugha4, on 05/07/2008, -0/+4Education is a big word.
- nihilite, on 05/07/2008, -3/+2maybe if he adds a Nascar ticker to the bottom of his broadcast....
- Barclay1188, on 05/07/2008, -2/+7Probably because he talked too fast and used big words.
- tnoy, on 05/07/2008, -2/+61I wish Olbermann wasnt the only one with the balls to say this stuff.
- mupaully, on 05/07/2008, -0/+6He's not. Sadly the other guy gets discounted even more because he's Jon Stewart.
- HillerMylife, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3Even Jon Stewart says he's not a journalist.
- mozert, on 05/07/2008, -3/+14Olbermann is our hero.
- playuhh, on 05/07/2008, -1/+50Imagine if Clinton had to debate Olbermann...
- Duositex, on 05/07/2008, -8/+1Well it would come down to who's team of writers is biggest. Neither Clinton nor Olbermann are the original author of a single word they utter.
- Crosshare, on 05/07/2008, -0/+8Right, and he had that team of witty writers behind him at Sportscenter too.
- Wormfather, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1That would be quite ugly. Just this once I'd like to See Olbermann and O'Reiley doubleteam Hillary, that would be hottness.
- HillerMylife, on 07/24/2008, -1/+1I never thought I'd see the day where Olbermann and O'Reilly would be united by a common enemy, even hypotheticallys.
- sircomix, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3She actually WAS a guest on his show recently.
- Duositex, on 05/07/2008, -8/+1Well it would come down to who's team of writers is biggest. Neither Clinton nor Olbermann are the original author of a single word they utter.
- brainscab, on 05/07/2008, -9/+12The media is spinning her Indiana 'victory' as a sign of Obama's weakness. Why? Their reason is simple: More hits/ratings. Our RESPONSIBILITY is to not click on these stories anymore. She won by less than 1% of the votes after a straight week of fear mongering media coverage. Its a money generating machine for them.
I hear by pledge not to click an a story about Clinton till she drops out. The only election 08 stories I will click on will be Obama vs. McCain.- Flappity, on 05/07/2008, -0/+7That'll teach her.
- foxyvoxy, on 05/07/2008, -1/+3Dang! You go Brainscabbers - give 'er hell!
- brainscab, on 05/07/2008, -1/+3no one else should either
- mithrasinvictus, on 05/07/2008, -1/+3it's spelled "hereby"
- jaydoj, on 05/07/2008, -3/+5I asked this earlier in the elections...so um, where does my vote fit in?
- scubaman5000, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3Where are you from? How old are you? what's your gender? what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?...Eh I should just skip to what she's really saying, if you voted Obama your vote is insignificant. Funny thing is the jokes on her... she's not going to the white house, she's going full speed into a brick wall.
- foxyvoxy, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3In between the salad fork and the dessert fork....oh wait I always mess those two up.
- scubaman5000, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3Where are you from? - TheCheckist, on 05/07/2008, -24/+1This is such a special election. I despise Hillary & McCain for what they stand for politically, and "Barry" Obama for his personal beliefs.
- cheeseron, on 05/07/2008, -1/+4personal beliefs? such as?
- TheCheckist, on 05/07/2008, -13/+0Such as the ones he shares with his Reverend. Or his wife.
- LBobRife, on 05/07/2008, -0/+11I'm not going to tell you that you are wrong because you're entitled to your opinion and choice is really subjective. I do hope you contemplate the media's role in your understanding of his personal beliefs however.
- TheCheckist, on 05/07/2008, -13/+0Such as the ones he shares with his Reverend. Or his wife.
- cbittle, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I personally believe, that U.S. Americans, are unable to do so, because uh, some, people out there, in our nation don’t have maps. and uh… I believe that our education like such as in South Africa, and the Iraq, everywhere like such as… and, I believe they should uh, our education over here, in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.
- cheeseron, on 05/07/2008, -1/+4personal beliefs? such as?
- orientis, on 05/07/2008, -9/+2Anyone got an alternate video link?
- boicityboy, on 05/07/2008, -1/+17Out of context? Not really. For every caucus or primary that Hillary doesn't win or doesn't meet expectations (which is almost all of them), her campaign has some inane excuse they throw out to try and discount Obama's outright win or higher-than-expected showing. She never addresses the real issue: *her campaign*. She's not dumb, and had she run a more positive, trustworthy, policy-based campaign, she probably would have done *much* better than she has (if not easily won). She chose the low road... She chose to try and cut the legs out from under Obama's campaign with drama and controversy, rather than spend time actually debating policy differences. Expect to see more of these "compilations" in the future... This isn't the only area her campaign has tried to grossly distort the facts in her favor.
- mbraynard, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1I don't understand why anyone cares that her campaign is always trying to put the best face on her circumstances. True - the odds of her winning are around 1% right now. But because of her tenacity, she isn't going to drop out until those odds are 0%. And why should she?
This just seems petty and silly.
Here is another way to look at it: if Obama was such a great candidate, he would have secured the nomination through elected delegates. But he hasn't. And if he was a much better candidate than Clinton, he could close the deal with the supers to get him over the line. But he can't.
So if this incredible level of criticism of Hilldog had any validity, she wouldn't still be in the race.- boicityboy, on 05/07/2008, -0/+2It's doubtful most people would have a problem with Hillary's "tenacity" if her campaign didn't equates "tenacity" with "underhanded techniques and tactics". It's like saying Tonya Harding had "tenacity". It's also doubtful most people believe it's her "tenacity" that's keeping her in the race. It's even doubtful that people would care that she was still in if this were a contest based on policy differences. The gas tax issue is the only real policy debate of the last several months.
As far as the "if Obama were so great" argument, one could see it that way, but the exact same argument can be made against Clinton. She has the name everyone knows. She had the husband who was relatively popular and well respected as far as democrats go. She had the *huge* financial advantage. In fact, she had *all* the advantages -- with the possible exception of the relatively few people out there that just wouldn't ever vote for a woman -- and yet he's still holding her at bay. She should have knocked him out of the race *last year*. If anything, it would be nothing short of phenomenal if Obama were in the race still, even if he was trailing her in all the metrics that really matter. The fact that he has out-foxed her is even more amazing. But he probably wouldn't be so far ahead had she not decided to take the path she did.
As far as supers, there are a lot of factors at play. "Do I follow the will of the constituents, or do I go with what I alone believe" is a question all of them are probably asking themselves. And lets not kid ourselves here, these *are* politicians after all... even if they all *wanted* to support Obama (or Hillary), most are unlikely to have the cajones to just come right out and say it without considering how it may affect their careers first.

- kanabiis, on 05/07/2008, -2/+82Olbermann must have had a crystal ball, he was dead right about whos vote mattered tonight (tuesday), the old people. According the exit polls, they were the only consistent base in Indiana for Hillary Clinton, pretty much everyone else leaned twords Obama.
Look, I love my grandparents to death, they are a blast, and I have learned alot from them over the years, but when it comes to today's issues, and the realities of todays world my grandparents are not the people I turn to as experts.
My grandmother has had the same tank of gas in her car for a month, she drives to church on Sunday and bingo on Wednesday....
She is not in danger of loosing her house, its been paid for since i was a baby, her and my grandfather purchased it back in the 50s for about 7 grand... yes, seven thousand dollars, what I will pay in mortgage over the next 3 months or so.
Layoffs!? my grandparents have been retired for almost 12 years now, unemployment means vacation to them.....
Sure, old people have to deal with healthcare, we all do..... but when it comes to the issues that are really impacting the US right now, its the young, guys like me, 32 years old with families, we are dealing with it, and this is why people my age overwhelmingly are supporting Obama.
If you wanna hold onto the Clinton years as the best years of your life, thats fine... sit in your rocking chair and remember the good old days, for me, I'm trying desperately to find good days at all, delusional fond memories don't put food on the table, and won't fix tomorrow.- OfNumbers, on 05/07/2008, -32/+232 year old with a family named kanabiis who can't spell, much less accept that the elderly have always been the most consistent base everywhere in America. It's also funny how you say you're desperately trying to find the good days you described your Grandparents had/have, and in the same sentence reference your own memories as delusional. Guess it might have actually all been a bad trip?
- kanabiis, on 05/07/2008, -2/+17I love it when people attack your user name and some slight grammatical errors rather then the discussion at hand....
If only there was some term for that, oh, thats right, ad hominem...
For the record, my quote saying delusional fond memories, wasn't about MY memories, but the memories of the Clinton Administration....
I was also not knocking the elderly vote, I understand it is the most consistent vote historically, key word historically.... I don't know if you noticed, but the young people are actually beating out the old in terms of overall percentage of votes.....
But hey, lets not let facts get in the way of your ad hominem attacks.... its easier to debate when you don't have to think.....- OfNumbers, on 05/07/2008, -19/+1Yeah, it probably wouldn't be hard for any illiterate 32 year old to brush off criticism. It's even more funny when you start crying ad hominem, ad hominem, you accuse me of not directing any criticism toward anything other than your name, I'm wrong, I misread what you wrote, etc. etc.
Let's look at my comment again without your name in it if I really pushed a bad Ad Hominem episode upon you, since rhetoric is your friend, but ad hominem is your enemy?
"32 year old with a family ---------- who can't spell, much less accept that the elderly have always been the most consistent base everywhere in America. It's also funny how you say you're desperately trying to find the good days you described your Grandparents had/have, and in the same sentence reference your own memories as delusional. "Olbermann must have had a crystal ball, he was dead right about whos vote mattered tonight (tuesday), the old people." Yeah, you REALLY need a crystal ball to see THAT ONE coming.
"for me, I'm trying desperately to find good days at all, delusional fond memories don't put food on the table, and won't fix tomorrow." That's awesome, I almost thought you meant that you understand grand old time memories don't fix the future. But I guess I was wrong when you pointed out "For the record, my quote saying delusional fond memories, wasn't about MY memories, but the memories of the Clinton Administration...." after you spent the previous 3 paragraphs on describing them, in great detail, and their success story that looms over your lack of one? Yeah, I misread you. Spin spin spin.- kanabiis, on 05/07/2008, -1/+5Ummmmmmm......... been drinking much tonight??
Look, I would gladly debate you, but apparently your not debating anyone, I'm not sure what your problem with my post is, exactly.
However, I will point out, that while the elderly vote is always consistent, it's not always the vote that wins a contest, that award goes to what the media likes to call swing voters.... but that was not the case tonight, although the MSM all week pretty much were saying that was going to be the case.
Instead, the swing voters went to Obama in Indiana, and the ELDERLY were the key to the slight, very slight victory Clinton had....
So, indeed, Keith Olbermann hit the nail on the head last night, while his counterparts on MSNBC and the other networks did not.
I don't know why that observation angers you so much...... - Velvolver, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Cause he's obviously a tard. He doesn't read the whole damn post correctly, then keeps on without reading the response to his asshattery.

Pay no attention, people, it's just a republican.- nihilite, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1republican doesn't mean anything anymore.
- Sylphid15, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0what a completely stupid reply

- twinmomma416, on 05/07/2008, -0/+17WOW!!!! You couldn't have hit a more perfect home run!! I myself am 32 yrs old and are living the same life. Very well put!!!
- Velvolver, on 05/07/2008, -0/+6Amazing ***** post, and I agree. Your grandparents are dumb.
- JerTheBear, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3Very well said.
- cusoman, on 05/07/2008, -0/+2Posts like this are why the new comment system is going to be great.
- mbraynard, on 05/07/2008, -5/+1So from what I can tell, your Grandmother is frugal, doesn't buy things she can't afford, has some spirituality in her life, and planned well for her retirement.
Yes, what a total idiot you couldn't learn anything from. Surely she never faced great challenges in her life, you know, like a recession or a depression, not like the great one we are in now.- kanabiis, on 05/07/2008, -0/+4Yes, I agree, my grandmother is an amazing person, and as I clearly pointed out, absolutely out of touch with the realities that is 2008 in rural America.
I'm sure that she will have alot of good stories about how hard life was when she was growing up, and the depression, and the war, and they are great stories, and great pieces of wisdom, but they arn't going to get me out of debit, her wisdom will not open the plants closing and jobs being sent out of the country. No amazing recipe will put the food in my refrigerator and her fond memories of her youth will not erase the Constitutional abuse that has occurred over the last 8 years or so.
This is what faces me today, and Obama has felt it, he was not sheltered by 110 million dollars over the past 8 years, he has 2 daughters who are close to my childs age, his income level 4 years ago was much closer to mine then Hillary Clintons was 20 years ago. For her to claim she feels my pain more the Obama, she clearly thinks I am stupid.
Most of the young people (I feel weird calling my 32 year old ass young, but I digress) that I have talked to feel the same way.
If you didn't get that out my first post, I hope I clarified the point a little.- mbraynard, on 05/08/2008, -2/+1Well, you clarified it, however, there is nothing Obama will do to help the economy. He has already said he would rather lower government revenues and hurt economic growth to screw the rich, per raising the capital gains taxes. Yes, he said that in the ABC debate.
Just look at how Nancy Pelosi is refusing to restrict spending on Medicare and is trying to continue giving handouts to rich farmers through the farm bill.
Look at how Obama has voted for higher spending over and over again and opposed the tax decreases that have resulted in strong economic growth, record low unemployment (yes, even now), and INCREASING federal tax revenues.

- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -3/+9She's got to have a red ring of death somewhere.
- Badandy127, on 05/07/2008, -1/+6Back in the day?! The HD-DVD battle only ended like two months ago. Jesus, what are you, 6?
- zmjone2992, on 05/07/2008, -1/+6Hey HD DVD were awesome. I take offense to you slandering HD DVD.
- zulfy26, on 05/07/2008, -2/+2Perfect comparison.
- Crosshare, on 05/07/2008, -0/+6I take offense to you comparing HD-DVD to Hillary, at least HD-DVD was lovable. Like the little format that could.
- kinerry, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1except blu-ray cheated it's way to a win
- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -25/+3I never know if I should bury huffington post spam as spam, dupe, lame, or inaccurate. They should just make a bury as huffington post option or better yet just make it so for every 10 huffington post articles there is one other article.
- MiddleOfNowhere, on 05/07/2008, -1/+6So you say you do neither like the story nor the source, so you have to think of a good reason for ignoring it?
Good thinking.- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -9/+1I think it would be better to get a balance of opinion and sources. Diversifying your funds, not putting all your eggs in one basket. I guess that's why I still come here even though I get most of my tech news elsewhere.
- Loonacy, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1Yes, diversify your news sources. But ignore this source, because I don't agree with it.
- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -3/+1Bury != ignore. And reading everything but huffington post would be a lot more balanced than reading only huffington post.
- Loonacy, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1Yes, diversify your news sources. But ignore this source, because I don't agree with it.
- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -9/+1I think it would be better to get a balance of opinion and sources. Diversifying your funds, not putting all your eggs in one basket. I guess that's why I still come here even though I get most of my tech news elsewhere.
- MiddleOfNowhere, on 05/07/2008, -1/+6So you say you do neither like the story nor the source, so you have to think of a good reason for ignoring it?
- BurningSky, on 05/07/2008, -1/+5Yeah..wow. If only the rest of the reporters could have his sense of humour about the whole thing. I think the news would be better/more accurate if it just took the piss on all of the candidates instead of trying and failing to sound like it legitimately cares about the issues...
- ronaldst, on 05/07/2008, -15/+2Good publicity for Clinton. Well done.
- OfNumbers, on 05/07/2008, -1/+12I'm sick of Hillary. That's all I have to say.
- papashawn, on 05/07/2008, -1/+9The last 25-30 seconds is really all you need to see.
- agentorange719, on 05/07/2008, -1/+4I hate the fact that apparently Obama's votes aren't important to Clinton...I always thought that's the way you win an election.
My girlfriend seems to want to vote for Clinton, but at this point, it seems like she's just voting against Obama. I don't really get it. Could anyone explain what part of her policy seems to be appealing to just less than half of the liberal voters out there?- OfNumbers, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3Explanation: She's been seeing other people.
- Badandy127, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0Hilarious.
Although I hope not.- Velvolver, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1You'll know come november.
- Badandy127, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0Hilarious.
- koft, on 05/07/2008, -3/+13Obama and Clintons policies are almost identical. They are both good candidates and they both would make a good president, certainly better than whats being offered from the republican machine. I was in the Hillary camp but these past few months she showed that she will do and say anything to get the votes. She pulled the Republican card and used fear to get votes with her 3:AM ad. ***** that, I voted Obama yesterday here in NC. My girlfriend liked Hill to in the beginning but she just couldn't stand all the negative crap coming out of the campaign. When we went digging for Obama dirt, we found out that he's pretty clean. Bottom line, two votes for Obama.
- flintmecha, on 05/07/2008, -0/+4I agree. It's something I've been saying since the beginning. Policy-wise, they're near identical and both would make great presidents. But Obama has something Clinton doesn't - a respectable, likable character.
- hittnrun, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3If obama didn't have you robots, HE would be saying anything to win. Instead, she says "CHANGE" and you losers bend at the waist and grease up your lips.
- sircomix, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Your GF wants to see a woman prez, that's it. There is no other reasoning. Same reason my mom and mother-in-law cling to lies and innuendo in a desperate attempt to justify their dislike of Obama.
Or perhaps she's racist.
- OfNumbers, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3Explanation: She's been seeing other people.

- avaugha4, on 05/07/2008, -1/+4Just did some quick math based on tonights showings. As of right now Mrs. Clinton has a little less than 48% of the delegates awarded so far (Clinton:1692, Obama 1842). She is behind in pledged delegates having won only 47% of them (1421 to Obama's 1585). She is ahead in super delegates having 51% of those who have openly declared support (271 to Obama's 257) . Overall she is behind by 150 delegates. If she were to win 60% of all remaining delegates (pledged and super included, keep in mind she has won 47% and 51% of those categories, respectively, as of today) she would gain on Obama by less than 100 delegates.
- evodevo1, on 05/07/2008, -7/+1Wait what??? "Expect her to float new metrics..." and "we decided to prepare for..." Are you guys serious? I don't like Clinton and will not vote for her, but come on!!! She hasn't even done it and Olbermann is accusing her that "she WILL do something"? Talk about lynching someone before the crime!
Come on guys, don't let him talk fancy to you and confuse you. Listen to the content! Oh, wait he doesn't have any. It's all just verbal diarrhea. - Deodrus, on 05/07/2008, -3/+7I just did my math on the Delegate Calculator on CNN.
http://fapomatic.com/show.php?loc=0818&f=nc_result ...
(nsfw ads on site)
What I found is that even if Clinton wins all the remaining contests by 60% to 40%, Barack Obama will almost touch 2025 delegates (the magic number), only being short of it by 2 delegates !!
Meaning if 2 supers endorse him from now on and she wins with 60% in every state... HE STILL WINS !!
I think it's time to give up for HRC.
Do the math yourself:

- aheartapart, on 05/07/2008, -0/+7This is just incredibly sad. If you disagree with Obama's policy positions, that's fine, but to try to scare people with this Muslim bogeyman nonsense is just pathetic.
- ajadams, on 05/07/2008, -0/+14The Olbermann article was hilarious and on the money. However, what left me speechless was that some of the readers were calling Olbermann "sexist". As a woman, I am extremely offended by this comment. Hillary has whined about getting too many questions at debates, pandered for sympathy by talking at various public forums about her "public humiliation" due to her husband's infidelity, and has brainwashed a large portion of the women voters into believing that they have to vote for her, otherwise they are betraying the sisterhood. Basically she can lie, cheat, use the gender card, and be so contradictory that your head spins when you try to follow her logic, but by god, you point any of this out and you are a sexist pig. What we need are powerful and well respected women, preferably middle aged, who can represent in the media the silent majority of women who see through Hillary's manipulations and do not support her. As women, they do not have to worry about being labeled "sexist".
By the way, I am not an African-American, or a college student, or ultra-liberal, or rich, and I absolutely hate lattes. - 55mph, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3Billary is akin to cancer.

- DrTiki, on 05/07/2008, -1/+4Now, before I begin the lesson, will those of you who are playing in the match this afternoon move your clothes down onto the lower peg immediately after lunch, before you write your letter home, if you're not getting your hair cut, unless you've got a younger brother who is going out this weekend as the guest of another boy, in which case, collect his note before lunch, put it in your letter after you've had your hair cut, and make sure he moves your clothes down onto the lower peg for you. Now,--
WYMER: Sir?
HUMPHREY: Yes, Wymer?
WYMER: My younger brother's going out with Dibble this weekend, sir, but I'm not having my hair cut today, sir. So, do I move my clothes down, or--
HUMPHREY: I do wish you'd listen, Wymer. It's perfectly simple. If you're not getting your hair cut, you don't have to move your brother's clothes down to the lower peg. You simply collect his note before lunch, after you've done your scripture prep, when you've written your letter home, before rest, move your own clothes onto the lower peg, greet the visitors, and report to Mr. Viney that you've had your chit signed.
