Obamamania! takes Capitol Hill by Storm
politico.com — [some children touring the House] noticed the presidential hopeful and screamed, “It’s Barack Obama!” in unison. The congresswoman then led the students across the aisle and over to Obama, who chatted briefly with the three students. “The kids were very excited,” said Ros-Lehtinen. “Like rock star excited.”

The second thing I thought of was Christopher Walken's "The Continental"

- dotlizard, on 05/09/2008, -2/+48indeed. see, he can do that. can you imagine Hillary doing that? omg. so scary.
- Zane, on 05/09/2008, -6/+63Now that he's probably pretty comfortable with his situation, seems like his personality is coming out into the open more. He seems like a pretty decent guy. (love the picture)
- Puffles, on 05/09/2008, -0/+7Barack Obama is "pretty decent"? That's the understatement of the year.
- psiege, on 05/09/2008, -9/+1You mean his personality about being friendly with a domestic terrorist (Bill Ayers), or an extremist pastor of 20 years, or a wife who's never been happy of her country, or acting like an elitist by claiming guns and religion occur because people are bitter about the economy? Let's not forget to mention the utter inconsistencies surrounding the explanation on all of these facts? Yep, his personality sure has come out. Can't wait to see what we learn next. You go Obamaddict!
- Smiff2, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1blah blah blah. is that the best right wing sites can come up with at the moment? Obama has a pretty good chance then..

Hillary Clinton's (sad) campaign strategy in a nutshell, thanks for summing it up psiege!
- faithfreedom, on 05/09/2008, -6/+1A presidential candidate with no substance. Ask him about economics, foreign policies and constitution and listen to his answers, you will find out.
IMO, he's a genius showman and excellence public speaker. If he get elected, American society will be deeply divided.- Greyscale88, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2You should def. ask him about the Constitution guys, ya know, cause he's a freaking Scholar of it.
- Murdats, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1your right, you should stick with the crap presidents, at least you and the whole world is then united against your government.
- psiege, on 05/09/2008, -5/+1As I've said before. He's a great speaker and charismatic. However, that does not make him a great leader, but only that much better at deception. It amazes me that everyone voting for this guy talks about character, judgment, and change, and nothing more, not specifics in regards to the points I mention here! The truth is, most know nothing about this guy other than it's trendy to like him, therefore they jump on the bandwagon. It's really very sad.
- pseudononymist, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1You're right, Hillary is a pretty bad liar by comparison. As for her character, well, any woman who stands by a husband getting cigar blowjobs in the oval office because to do otherwise would ruin her husband's political career... well that pretty much says it all doesn't it. If this were really an election based on character, we'd all have voted for Ron Paul. Obviously, it's not an election about character, although Barack still has a lot more of it than either of his opponents.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2I've seen Obama as pretty much a "vanilla" candidate -- not too far from Hillary's "republican light" -- but I've been quietly hoping he is a stealth Democrat. Over time he has sounded more and more like Edwards. Which is probably just as well -- because at the beginning -- Edwards and Kucinich got bad media because they were too honest.
The media makes me sick because they self-select for what THEY think is reasonable. Which is based on the view of people earning $500,000 who are members of Country Clubs -- the Washington Media is joined at the hip with the Washington Elite and probably get free dinners from the Lobbyists.
So, maybe Obama was smart, and just played it safe -- he knows politics enough. I'm looking forward, however, to honesty and a REAL person, not a Brush-cutting phony like Bush who happens to be the most corrupt elitist.
Time will tell.
- Cannedace, on 05/09/2008, -7/+65Our Obama ,who is genuinely nice and caring to little kids, gets my vote!

- PabloMac, on 05/09/2008, -2/+5Appearing to be genuinely nice and caring to little kids - that's all it takes to make a good president - Yippee!
- ryan850, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1pay attention to the commas.. remove that section and it says "Our Obama gets my vote." You just read it wrong... kind of like PabloMac, who is kind of a douchebag, misinterprets a comment... Now that doesn't imply that you have to be a douchebag to misinterpret a comment... but it helps
- PabloMac, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1No misinterpretation on my end. Cannedace was saying that Obama gets their vote because they feel he is genuinely nice and caring to little kids.
I was saying...oh, never mind. You'll just misinterpret it and post another poorly-written comment.
Notice I said all this without stooping to any well-deserved name-calling. - familynight, on 05/10/2008, -1/+1@PabloMac: ryan850 is right, although he could have said it more nicely. "who is genuinely nice and caring to little kids" is a dependent clause that describes "Our Obama" but does not interact with the rest of the sentence. It is a separate idea from Obama receiving Cannedace's vote. We use subordinating conjunctions. like because, in order to link ideas to subordinate clauses, as in "because Obama is genuinely nice and caring to little kids." Different nomenclatures exist for grammar terms than what I've used, and someone well-versed in grammar can come and correct my mistakes now.
- PabloMac, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1No misinterpretation on my end. Cannedace was saying that Obama gets their vote because they feel he is genuinely nice and caring to little kids.

- dotlizard, on 05/09/2008, -9/+62Obama has the ability to lead by inspiration, which is something we as a country sorely need.
- aussiejan, on 05/09/2008, -5/+13This is a really good point. That is what is seriously lacking in Clinton and McCain is the inspiration factor. Much like Kennedy's "Ask not what your country can do for, ask what you can do for your country.", Obama can inspire Americans to get behind changing the way American society works. More "We" and less "I".
- seraph582, on 05/09/2008, -18/+5good lord dotlizard - does saying that not make you feel nauseous?! Ugh!
He's really not that great! Yeah better than the other two clowns in serious contention, but seriously people? Get the ***** over it. Please.- neognostic, on 05/09/2008, -4/+17After 7 + years of nausea, I say yes to inspiration.
- dotlizard, on 05/09/2008, -1/+97+? i think it's more like, the whole Clinton/Bush era. we got used to corruption and greed and leading by manipulation and intimidation. it's definitely time for a change.
- Pssdoff, on 05/09/2008, -4/+3Tell me more about what you imagine Obama will do... Let me in on this dreamworld you think he is bringing you, where puppies and kittens dance together on piles of golden sunshine...
- notoneofus, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5@Pssdoff: I'll tell you it's a much better world than I imagine McCain would help perpetuate, where civil rights and the bodies of soldiers are discarded like broken toasters in an abandoned landfill.
- malex, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5@ Pssdoftt: I imagine he'll talk to America like we're adults.
Maybe that's golden dreamworld sunshine nonsense to you, but I don't see what other chance we have. - Pssdoff, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1I endorse none of the 3 major candidates, especially McCain. If you actually want to see change, don't vote Republicrat.
- dotlizard, on 05/09/2008, -1/+97+? i think it's more like, the whole Clinton/Bush era. we got used to corruption and greed and leading by manipulation and intimidation. it's definitely time for a change.
- Noureddin, on 05/09/2008, -3/+2Um... Why was he dugg down? Is their a Obama owned bury brigade that diggs down anyone that hate or don't like obama like he's a god? Come on... Its true. He's not THAT great. Inspiration ain't gonna help. He's inspiring everyone like: "We can defeat anyone in our path" and then we actually can't. Its ignorance and false hope. SIMPLE AND TRUE. - ender7074, on 05/09/2008, -12/+2And your reasoning of this comes from where? Obama hasn't lead ***** yet you think he will be a good president because people are fawning over him like hes some sort of god. You silly libs are so easily fooled.
- PabloMac, on 05/09/2008, -5/+2Watch out, or you'll stir them into another emotional outburst.
- bsmang, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Lol, well he's certainly a lot closer to being a god than SOME people.
- inajeep, on 05/09/2008, -9/+3Inspiration? Hope? Yes, that's wonderful to say but they don't get results. Let's hope if he does get into the big chair that those campaign slogans and messages of change and hope translate into smart decisions and the ability to get things done. Me? I'm not holding my breath.
- KillaJazzBass, on 05/09/2008, -0/+9Those two words are what drove Europeans fresh off a boat to buy a horse and to buy a wagon, trek across 3000 miles of wilderness and hostile native populations for the hope of striking gold in some place called The West.
Those two words are what drove a generation of scientists and engineers to land on the moon to do the other thing, not because it was easy, but because it was hard. Sir those two words are what was whispered in the tunnels of london as rockets and bombs rained from overhead. And those words were spoke to by our great Republican Presidents such as Lincon and Reagan, to preserve our union, or to surpass for the sake of whats humanly good towards the soviet union.
Inspiration and hope? As opposed to what? Fear and Ambition? Lust for money? Survival instinct, and the inane drive to "keep up with the Jonses"
I can continue but I believe I made my point. You just got served with a steaming hot plate of righteous indignation.- phrenzy, on 05/09/2008, -1/+8While your post was great, Unfortunately it is wasted on these bitter snivelers. They can't comprehend leadership and inspiration coming from a politician. To them, JFK, FDR and Lincoln are fictional characters. They've either had their spirit crushed by GWB or have adopted that fashionable cynicism and nihilism that makes them feel safe. It's always safer not to hope or believe in something.
- inajeep, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1Actually it's more statistically accurate not to believe in it.
- Noureddin, on 05/09/2008, -3/+1See... Its ok to have hope and inspiration... but to hope in some guy(Obama) that chances are is lying, Then thats what I call... False Hope.
- inajeep, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1I'm sorry but that same message has been used many times by many politicians, just because you believe it doesn't make it true now.

- DiggasWAttitude, on 05/09/2008, -1/+14I was getting sick of 'But you're pretty cool for an American.' After that I always give the 5 minute explanation about loving my country for what it can be, not necessarily what it is. It would be nice to prove it isn't an oligarchy.
- Noureddin, on 05/10/2008, -3/+1Bush ain't causing the problems. They(Presidents) are all puppets.
The elites allow only a select few be president and if they don't like one they do everything in their power to stop him/her from winning. If that fails. They kill him/her.
For the ones they are picking. Are Obama, Hillary and McCain. All are gonna kill United States. But, In different ways.
Hillary is like a Chain Saw Ripping through the heart of America.
McCain is like a Gun shooting through the heart of America.
Obama is like America going into a building with clouds and angels painted on the walls and ceiling and then America is looking around at all the ceiling and walls then obama stabs America with Lethal Injections.
In other words. Obama will destroy America. McCain will destroy America in a Terrible way and Hillary will destroy America is a HORRIBLE way... All of them will Destroy america... So doesn't matter who you vote for(Unless its ron paul) him/her will Destroy America.
Simple, True, And ***** off the nerds of digg.- Memitim, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1And about 180 million Americans (I'll let the kids and retards off the hook) are in collusion. Government by the people and all of that.

- serif69, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2And we all know that the House of Representatives is so ***** far from the floor of the Senate that he couldn't possibly have made a detour to actually do his job as a Senator.
- EntropyNine, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2thank you! I assumed everyone would understand that. I think he's a great candidate, but the borderline-deification of him is starting to get on my nerves.
No one is infallible, people. - IpecacNeat, on 05/09/2008, -3/+0Be real though, the guy is running for President. Obama has his faults, but hardly any Senator running for President votes. - McCain is identical to Bush (chortle) (Mc Bush) (chortle chortle)

You mean investing more while reducing taxes while helping the economy by not catering to corporate interests doesn't make any ***** sense?

reducing taxes? are you ***** kidding? Seriously you must be dreaaaaaaaaaaaming. He is a democrat. enough said
creating more teachers? what out of thin air? and whats the point. More teachers won't solve everything in schools. what a stupid idea.

nothing but pixie dust and certainly no details.- spamcrusher, on 05/09/2008, -5/+4You won't find any details, and that's why he is winning. Ron Paul offered more "change" and "hope" than Obama, but his downfall was he offered details. Americans want change, they just don't want to work to bring it. Obama sounds like he'll change everything while we just sit back and enjoy the free ride. Fact of the matter is Obama is just more of the same. He was voted in the top 10 most crooked politicians by a bi-partisan group for some shady real estate dealings (along with Clinton, Rudy, Huckabee, and other D's and R's). Obama and his wife are both members of the Council of Foreign Relations, a bi-partisan think tank committed to screwing hard working Americans for globalism.
Obama will probably win, and that's OK. I'll just sit back and laugh as failure after failure will keep me coming back to Digg to say "Told you so."- iMattK, on 05/09/2008, -2/+4Sorry to bust your bubble, but though I admire Ron Paul he never stood a chance. Lots of us what effective change and many of us know that Washington isn't the place that this will take place.

- swrostmore, on 05/09/2008, -7/+38I lol pretty ***** hard at how ***** off Obama makes the lunatic fringe...its almost as funny as GDS (Gore Derangement Syndrome - "MANBEARPIG!" *twitch*). The funniest thing is all the sarcastic comments about Obama's likeability. Dems actually LIKE a politician who's winning the Dem popular vote?? OMG, who could have seen that coming? I think they are just ***** off that the GOP is stuck with a candidate that they hate (or at least they hated him until he became the nominee, now they are all on his nuts like we knew they would be.)
- WasabiBomb, on 05/09/2008, -2/+19Yeah, that's the thing that gets me about it as well. We've gone through the last seven years of, arguably, the worst administration in history. The current President has the lowest approval rating ever. Americans abroad feel as though they need to apologize for the President's actions. The current administration has brought nothing but graft and shame to the office.
And along comes a candidate who manages to inspire people, to make them think that the office may someday be worthy of admiration again... and we get lambasted for it. I just don't get it. - minox, on 05/09/2008, -5/+2Gore Derangement Syndrome? Are you going to pay Charles Krauthammer for completely ripping him off?
- swrostmore, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4Is Krauthammer going to pay me for lying about Iraq WMD and generally being a professional neocon apologist?
- swrostmore, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5I mean that he should pay me reparations for lying TO me, not pay me for lying...
- swrostmore, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4Is Krauthammer going to pay me for lying about Iraq WMD and generally being a professional neocon apologist?
- danconia, on 05/10/2008, -2/+1But what's wrong with making fun of Al Gore? His "Inconvenient Truth" was full of misleading arguments, his house had something like 20x more carbon emissions than the average person, and even his carbon credit idea is shady because he oh-so-conveniently wants people to pump money into these companies that HE is a major shareholder for. And in general I feel like if the Global Warming movement wants a front-man that they should pick a scientist instead of a politician who can't stop talking about himself.
As for Obama, I disagree with him on many of his stances on the issues but I will completely admit that he has a lot of charisma. Some people, like myself, are just worried that people are voting for him because of his charisma without considering his true stances on the issues or the consequences if his plans were implemented. Sure even if he had charisma but no solutions to the problems then he'd still be better than Bush but we shouldn't pretend that Obama is superman. Yes he's likable and out of the major candidates for this October I hope he wins it but it's safe to say that his abilities as a leader still have yet to be tested. He really didn't get *that* much done in the Senate. And while I'll agree that he's only been in the Senate for a short while it still bothers me that one of his most touted accomplishments, his ethic reforms, dealt with such trivial issues as whether lobbyists and politicians can sit down while having lunch or have to stand. I'm not joking... look it up.
"Change" isn't any good unless you're sure the direction you will be changing toward is a good/the best one. I hope this makes sense...

- deklax, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5Interesting you should mention that quote, even if you have misquoted it.
An orphan quote sometimes attributed to Georges Clemenceau is:
Any man who is not a socialist at age 20 has no heart.
Any man who is still a socialist at age 40 has no head.
The most likely reason is that Bennet Cerf once reported Clemenceau's
response to a visitor's alarm about his son being a communist:
If he had not become a Communist at 22, I would have disowned him.
If he is still a Communist at 30, I will do it then.
George Seldes later quoted Lloyd George as having said:
A young man who isn't a socialist hasn't got a heart;
an old man who is a socialist hasn't got a head.
The earliest known version of this observation is attributed to
mid-nineteenth century historian and statesman François Guizot:
"Not to be a republican at 20 is proof of want of heart;
to be one at 30 is proof of want of head."
But I guess that one wouldn't work quite so well for you, would it? After all, who would accuse a republican of having a heart these days? - Infidelcastr0, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Half that statement was true.

- spamcrusher, on 05/09/2008, -1/+3Well, I'm no accountant so correct me if I'm wrong, but the other way to lay the "smackdown" would be to decrease spending.
- Barackalypse, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Here's a riddle, how much income does a man that spends nothing need to avoid bankruptcy?
- InvisibleMan, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1Flat tax! - He would win in a landslide and have more money then he knows what to do with.
- zeusthemoose, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Flat tax?? Lol what have you been smoking? We already know that the rich get out of a large percentage of their tax obligations as it is. Flat tax would bleed the middle class even more. Decrease spending? In what? I know, how about we cut the student loan program, personal responsibility after-all! Or wait even better, lets stop funding all federal highways and have a repeat of 35-W, no one gives a ***** about bridges anyways. But theres more, lets cut all social security and Medicare aid to give the rich a tax break to 'stimulate' the economy, which always seems to work wonders. Grandma and Grandpa don't need that anyways, ***** em if they want help they can get it themselves. But we sure as hell can't bring home the troops because we need to stay the course and bring freedom and stop those terr'erists from attacking us. Don't even think about touching the military money, you don't know when we are going to have to discipline Russia or China for not listening to us grown-ups!
You live in a world where up is down and down is up. Want to know who the biggest pork barrel spenders where? The Republican party since 2002, and now they are complaining about pork barrel spending. Absolute hilarity.

- shiftclick, on 05/09/2008, -5/+4A ban on pork products and higher taxes! Followed by a bigger government, more social programs for the lazy and less military! Yeah for the Obamamessiah!
- userperson, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2C'mon he couldn't decrease the military if he tried. Besides why would he decrease something? More free ice cream for everyone!
- lovestospooge, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Obama supports increasing military funding to replace all the worn-out and outdated equipment still in use by the majority of the military.
- Hangly, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Chocolate Thunder?
- Barackalypse, on 05/09/2008, -11/+8Smells like a tax increase to me!
- WTFppl, on 05/09/2008, -12/+5I just can't wait for another member of the "Counsel of Foreign Relations" to be our President!
:l- junkwheel, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1His name is not on the CFR members list because he is not a member.

- Barackalypse, on 05/09/2008, -7/+16Awesome picture, looks like he's pulling some slight of hand maneuver with his hands to distract you while his friend steals your wallet.
- shiftclick, on 05/09/2008, -2/+5THAT is some funny *****! (And probably true - he's from Chicago...kind of).

Obamma Mia!- Hangly, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2Here we go again.
My, my.
- Hangly, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2Here we go again.
- RRJackson, on 05/09/2008, -13/+7Great. SO in 2012 I guess we'll be fielding Hannah Montana.
- yujie, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5He looks like he is about to do a vulcan mind meld
- Xanrez, on 05/09/2008, -2/+18The last time this country had a president that caused this much *love* was JFK. It has been a long time since this country had a president that was fairly universally loved or caused this much buzz. Many young folk that frequent this site (including myself) have no concept of this...what it is to have a positive figure leading the country. It's amazing what can change with a little positive attitude. This is the main reason that I support Obama. It's a bonus that he's the candidate that shares my political views and opinions *more than any other* potential candidate.
- vexingmodstwo, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2That's really sweet... But "positive figure" is a relative term. You're believing your own hype. Be careful.
- ligyron, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2Have you been living under a rock for the past few years?
- Chirp08, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1And thats why I fear the possibility of Assasination. If Hillary was his VP it would nearly be gauranteed :|
- zeusthemoose, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Don't forget Regan. Even though I don't agree with some of his policies, he was greatly loved by a large majority of Americans.
- splatterboy, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1You're probably 12 and weren't of voting age at the time... You have no idea.
- TomT223, on 05/09/2008, -1/+39OBAMA ***** RAINBOWS

- junkwheel, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5"The notion that there's only gold at the end of the rainbows which come out of my ass is being perpetuated by people stuck in the folklore of the past. I'm the folklore of the future! At the end of my rainbows there be dragons!" - Barack Obama
- brad3378, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2No *****!
Yet another Obama video making it to the front page despite a lack of content.
Meanwhile, crickets are chirping on the message thread that discusses his official platform:
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Obama_s_Blueprin ...
Surely his platform matters - Right? - dopre, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1How did you know?
- vexingmodstwo, on 05/09/2008, -6/+12I'll give Obama this much: Whoever he hired to do his PR is really good. He's got a lot of people completely forgetting one very simple fact about him that SHOULD be the very first thing you think about when you hear him speak: He's a politician.
- userperson, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3His PR guys is great, but give him his props he can deliver a speech like he means it. Make me believe it for a second, then as you wrote, I remember what he does for a living, but he is good at it -- speech giving.
He'll be a great President! Like JFK, FDR, Reagan, and Clinton. Never mind what they did or didn't do or the crap the left us with ... but they could deliver speeches that's the important thing. To inspire people like you're taking their money and liberties.
See Bush isn't so good in the speech giving dept. so people notice all the other crap or use it to bolster this belief. Bush doesn't inspire. Steal our money, go terrorize people, but make it sound good and inspiring when you do it. - liquidmetalband, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3Dugg for truth.
- junkwheel, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Yeah, I thought he was a fireman.
- userperson, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3His PR guys is great, but give him his props he can deliver a speech like he means it. Make me believe it for a second, then as you wrote, I remember what he does for a living, but he is good at it -- speech giving.
- dmark77, on 05/09/2008, -0/+7"Me, I like combat," Pelosi said. "The best training for campaigning is campaigning."
...and the best training for unilateral president is to roll over? - Digscuttle, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2The picture was great, the article was fairly meh. Almost bitter at the end.
- coffee200am, on 05/09/2008, -8/+3People who say bad things against Obama just don't understand. Just ignore them.
- JointVenture, on 05/09/2008, -1/+3People like you scare me.
So we cant ask serious questions about Obama? Our questions about him are not valid or rationale? - shiftclick, on 05/09/2008, -4/+3Flashback to the 1930's...
"People who say bad things against Hitler just don't understand. Just ignore them."
*****.- Wartyboskfapped, on 05/09/2008, -1/+3Nazi reference. Your credibility is gone. Oh, wait, you never had any.
- shiftclick, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1It wasn't meant as a Nazi reference - but a reference to a world leader that the sheeple fell for. *****.
- Wartyboskfapped, on 05/09/2008, -1/+3Nazi reference. Your credibility is gone. Oh, wait, you never had any.
- JointVenture, on 05/09/2008, -1/+3People like you scare me.
- AKWookiee, on 05/09/2008, -3/+10Obama's tears cure cancer.
- ligyron, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5Too bad only Hillary cries
- userperson, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Blasphemy!
- Hangly, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3Smoking his pubes gets you high.
- PATSCRU, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1the tears of muad'dib.
- JointVenture, on 05/09/2008, -12/+6I don't want ANYONE having the charisma Obama does to be in power of ANY country.
We don't really know this guy, but if you think you do because you heard his speeches have at it. Personally I would be more comfortable voting for him if he had some history. That's the problem with Obama, he has no history so its easy for people to say he is against something and hard for people on the other side to say he is for something.
Digg me down for being skeptical, which is what I thought we were supposed to be about ANYONE in government.- Chirp08, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5He has plenty of history, its your responsibility as a voter to inform yourself of the candidates background beyond the skewed ***** the media throws at you.
- liquidmetalband, on 05/09/2008, -5/+1Actually, we do know him. He voted in the same way as Clinton on things like Iraq spending (said yes), Patriot Act reauthorisation (said yes) and all his policies are virtually the same as Clinton's.
It's more than skepticism we have. We know Obama is a fraud.- zeusthemoose, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Lol right, because John McCain would be much better at ending Iraq spending and getting rid of the Patriot Act...
- junkwheel, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Watch Fox and visit Digg?
You're unique!
- bcamp1973, on 05/09/2008, -2/+13Hillary supporters, notice the difference here? Your candidate would have eaten the children and picked her teeth with the bones...
- LomasLou, on 05/09/2008, -6/+7Why have we not changed the Constitution so that Obama can be unanimously elected to a third term and beyond?
Howzabout retrofitting the Lincoln Memorial with Obama's face until we can complete a more appropriate tribute?- boo1, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4didn't you hear? Bush had to sell the Lincoln memorial, the war and the economy just ain't doing it these days.
- bsmang, on 05/09/2008, -1/+4I know it would seem quite fashionable, but I don't care, I like Obama anyway.
- Thuktun, on 05/09/2008, -1/+35"Not all Republicans, though, were thrilled to see him. Asked if he crossed the aisle to meet Obama, Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.), shook his head. “Lord no,” he said. “Lord no.”"
A simple "no" would have sufficed. His response instead suggests the kind of over-aggressive partisanship that we don't need.- stanleyford, on 05/09/2008, -3/+2That's a lot to read into one word.
- Chirp08, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4Not really, if he is that uncomfortable greeting a possible boss maybe he is working for the wrong company.
- Jastor00, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1The President of the United States is not Congress' "boss". Maybe you should go back to civics class and relearn about the branches of government. Or return to English class and learn how to construct a proper analogy.
- Chirp08, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4Not really, if he is that uncomfortable greeting a possible boss maybe he is working for the wrong company.
- Kingmichael, on 05/09/2008, -4/+1Disagreeing with Obama does not make you partisan.
- stanleyford, on 05/09/2008, -3/+2That's a lot to read into one word.
- jayscot, on 05/09/2008, -16/+3All in for the white-hating Marxist Liberal!
- LomasLou, on 05/09/2008, -0/+17President McDreamy, he makes women swoon, children shout with glee & men strive to be better fathers, citizens & bowlers
