Obama sounds presidential but speech isn't about race

Barack Obama not only confronted race in his speech Tuesday, he transcended it, and no honest American ear could ever be immune to the pitch, tone and quality of his words.So much of what he said was undeniable and true and honestly spoken,in the calm and clear voice of a reasonable man explaining America's most unreasonable and hateful topic.

- cashman57, on 03/19/2008, -6/+1Yet his preacher made hate the topic from his pulpit and Obama liked the man so much he hired him to work on his campaign as an advisor. Obama can't be trusted. He said when he was campaigning for the Senate he would do all he could to end the Iraq use of force and when the time came for him to stand up and be a man of his word he voted with Clinton and McCain in a rare 100-0 Senate vote to fund the Iraq use of force. When he was asked about his obvious lack of leadership experience he said to look at his campaign and to look at his church to see where he was coming from and in both places we found a man who screamed through a huge sound system "GOD BLESS AMERICA? NO! NO! NO! GOD DAMN AMERICA" and that proved to us that he's not ready to be president. Yet when confronted with what this preacher of hate spewed from the pulpit he said we should look over there because this is a "distraction". He was the one who told us where to look and now he says "don't look there"? He's just another lying liberal leftist lawyer. No self respecting American will vote for him.
