Obama hits back at Bush over 'appeasement' inference
rawstory.com — Senator Barack Obama hit back at President Bush today for comments made by the president in Israel which implied that the presumed Democratic presidential nominee's calls for talks with Iranian officials resembled appeasement with the enemy. "That's the kind of appalling attack that alienates the world," Obama stated.

Appeasement is when you give up something in return for what you want (what Bush is doing). However, just talking to your adversaries is NOT appeasement. It's common sense. We'll never resolve our problems with people if we can't even discuss the problem with them.
