Obama faces racism in West Virginia watch!
youtube.com — Many Democrats have used euphemisms to describe why they're not willing to vote for Barack Obama, some saying that they just don't know him well enough or they're not comfortable with him, while others have come straight out and said they don't want a Black president.

Sure, there was TONS of ignorance going on, but few blatant racial remarks. Also, there were only two blatantly racist remarks in the video. The first was by Brenda, a black woman, saying there were too many rednecks. The last was by some old crone (ashley) who would not ever vote for a black man.
Racism is bad mmmkay.- smotpoker, on 05/17/2008, -0/+2"Redneck" is not a racist term, just derogatory in some contexts. It is used to describe a general culture/mindset, not a specific race.
- Conwaysb0718, on 05/17/2008, -0/+2You never hear of anyone other than white people being called a "redneck"...
- smotpoker, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2You never hear of anyone other than white people *calling themselves* rednecks.
- smotpoker, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2Wtf... no way that was 5 min...Anyway:
White people invented the term. White people started using it as an insult. White people take pride in it. White people use it the most. Just because someone of another race uses it doesn't make it racist. - Conwaysb0718, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

- socivitus, on 05/17/2008, -2/+1Southerners...racist? So not true...
However, Hillary's victory in WV was no surprise and shouldn't be, there is no reason to bring up racism because its EVERYWHERE.- aussiejan, on 05/17/2008, -1/+4Everywhere but more prominent and open in some areas. Apparently like WV.
- carbog, on 05/17/2008, -0/+4I'm sure you could find similar people saying similar things in Illinois. Although this type of thinking may be more widespread in West Virginia, we shouldn't base out opinions of a state based on anecdotal evidence. Obama would be the first to say this.
- blackjack75, on 05/17/2008, -3/+7Again we have here about 10 people being interviewed.
Come to any country and interview 10 skinheads, then you can make a video and assume they're all nazis. Sure those people all looked pretty ignorant but that doesn't say in any way they're representative of their region.- UltramegaOK, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1Very good point. Everything has a bias.
- mciampa1214, on 05/17/2008, -4/+3They're teeken 'er joobs! deerka derrr
- Deodrus, on 05/17/2008, -4/+3WV is hicktown.
Wow. Ignorance in the country that is most admired in the world. Not just one or two people, but a whole state.
Pathetic. Absolutely Pathetic.- noseeme, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1West Virginia is a town?
- smotpoker, on 05/17/2008, -0/+2This type of mentality isn't exactly atypical in more rural southern regions. Everyone who wants can delude themselves into thinking racism has no real impact in hindering minorities it is simply untrue.
Those of you who are inclined disbelieve the accuracy or authenticity of this video, go check out some of the WV primary exit polls before finalizing such a conclusion - franksalvo, on 05/17/2008, -1/+2It's hard to trust someone when you're scared of him.
- JerryAscione, on 05/17/2008, -0/+3If Hillary were black do you think she would get this kind of hate in West Virginia?
- chkdg8, on 05/17/2008, -1/+1They're all New World Puppets anyway.
- xboxgamer91, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1"Cause were Americans" Thats why most countries despise America.
- Deodrus, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1"but a whole state."
I called it a state. "Hicktown" is a term commonly used. "Hickstate" sounds weird so I chose to go with the former. - Deodrus, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1"but a whole state."

Apparently, it's okay to have a K-9 unit attack a suspect without probable cause. Then, when said suspect shoots the dog (because he's scared *****), the cop shoots the black man dead, and people are upset that the DOG's funeral wasn't front-page news.
It would not be acceptable to just shoot with impugnity if the suspect was a white teenage girl. But no one says that.
Here in Pittsburgh, African-Americans are worth less than animals.
