Obama Picks Up Fund-Raising Among Fat Cats/Special Interests
nytimes.com — Obama ’s major fund-raisers are eager to have him back to headline events that require attendees at the highest echelons to contribute more than $30,000 a person to a joint fund-raising committee for the Obama campaign and the DNC. Two events in D.C. within the span of two hours on Tuesday will cost donors $28,500 and $23,000 each. More "change"...

I'm sorry. So in your world of perfection, one should never tell the truth? That's what is sad, and more than pathetic.
In the real world, where all but nutty idealogical Kos and Huffpo Kool Aid drinkers, and paid campaign staffers live, telling the truth about someone isn't being "anti" anything, it is just the truth. Are Obama's reversals, "qualifications" and "explanations" on so many issues he led many of us to believe he was for enough to cause me not to vote for him?
Not yet. But as the NY Times said today, is doesn't bode well.- ssn697, on 07/05/2008, -1/+4the problem is that your summary barely reflects the actual article, if at all.
- SheilaNoya, on 07/05/2008, -1/+3I never objected to anything in the article. I only pointed out that it's lame to beg people to Digg it up for you. It's bad form.
Contrary to some of your earlier accusations about me, I don't agree with everything Obama is doing and I don't agree with every one of his positions. There has never been a candidate that fulfills 100% of my "wish list" and there probably won't ever be one in the future either. However, in my opinion, he is still the best choice we have for our next president. I shudder to think what a McCain presidency would bring us and I disagree with McCain on a lot more issues than I do with Obama.
I'm not sure what it was that turned you from an Obama supporter to someone who now posts lots of negative Obama articles. Lately, I've seen you gravitate to Fox News and other Republican sources for your "news" and information that bashes Obama. If you're starting to lean away from Obama and towards McCain, then that's your decision. So be it.
We only have two realistic choices for November... Obama vs. McCain. One of these two men will become our next president, so we need to take ALL issues into consideration instead of focusing on just one or two of them. I don't know you and I don't pretend to understand your position on every issue, but from what I've seen of your posts from several months ago, I sure can't imagine you really wanting to let McCain be in charge, especially after he has surrounded himself with the same incompetent crowd that worked for Bush.
We all need to make sure Obama keeps his promises, but some of what I'm seeing against him is also just spin (like the bogus stories about him changing his position on Iraq). Kick his ass when he gets out of line and keep him going in the right direction, but please (I'm asking nicely!) don't do anything that helps the McCain camp destroy him with misinformation. America just can't afford to have McCain continue the failed policies we have in place now.
Now go have a Happy 4th of July (what's left of it).
