It makes all the sense in the world, because Obama gets to respond to Clinton's crap through his bloggers, and if Clinton tries to whine about it, he doesn't have to take responsibility. Getting his online community to do this for him is great because it allows his campaign to shoot back in the conversation with a little more attitude, and it means Obama can score some good hits without himself looking like he's stooping down to her level. If this is something the Clinton camp did to frame Obama, she did it a little too well.

        Secondly, there's no need for the space between the word "you" and your last exclamation mark.

        Beyond that, what was the point you were trying to make? I'm not sure I understood it fully.

        Maybe if you correct the sentence structure and punctuation errors, then add more capital letters and exclamation marks, it'll be more clear.

        To be fair, there was a story on digg a few days ago that went something like "one donor to the Clinton campaign had an ex-husband who at some point was a criminal" - as if that had anything to do with anything.

        We have a direct connection between Obama and his pastor (and a direct teacher-pupil relationship depending on who you ask), then we have two layers of indirection when talking about Clinton and an ex-husband of one of the donors to the campaign (it's unlikely enough that Clinton and the donor were in direct and constant contact, then we for some reason include one of her ex-husbands in the mix too).

      Hillary fell into this trap already by not denouncing racist comments by a supporter. As soon as she weighed in on the subject, she became part of the debate. She should have fired the woman and moved on, without actually engaging the debate.

      • adrianmonk, on 03/14/2008, -0/+1That's partly true, actually. Hillary has won a few contests lately. So from that perspective, Obama's support is decreasing. But that perspective is arbitrary and meaningless. In every contest, there is variation. Even if one candidate were to win every state, they'd win by varying amounts over time. For Hillary to take this and say "look, he's losing his lead!" is not really valid. The same criteria could be used to say that Hillary is falling further behind, since Obama won the two most recent states.

        Basically, the Hillary argument is "I won a couple of battles recently; therefore, I am winning the war."

Neither candidate is going to go to Denver with enough delegates to cinch the nomination and so the supers will decide. The party will not hand Obama the nod. They've made a lot of noises to that effect already, but Obama supporters haven't been paying attention, apparently. He's done. He can't go to Denver with a clear win and without that the DNC is going to give the nod to the woman married to an ex-POTUS.
