Obama Camp: 17 Delegates Away from Democratic Nomination

marketwatch.com — The Illinois senator is just 17 delegates away from winning a majority of pledged delegates, his campaign said. On Thursday, Obama picked up seven pledged delegates who had previously supported John Edwards and another pledged delegate in North Carolina.

    The endorsement brings Senator Obamas superdelegate total to 294.5. Obama is now 127.5 total delegates away from the nomination.
