It's my understanding Candidates had to have their Campaign Contribution Reports turned in yesterday & that RON PAUL received more contributions than ANY OTHER GOP CANDIDATE (3 times as much as McInsane), but the Federal Election Commission isn't going to release the figures now as that'd give RON PAUL's campaign a huge boost & instead will not release the figures until after the primary elections on 2/5.

ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE?

Remember when money-raised was "important," back before we raised craploads of it for He Who Must Not Be Mentioned By Name??

Of course, this story was posted in a blog were those already in the know about RP's format would not be surprised by the feat. Pandering to the choir. The conspiracy of silence will continue until one of the anointed ones becomes president. BUT, the message of freedom will live on and continue to influence government for generations to come.

Most money raised. Strongest grass-roots support. Wins every debate and yet the GOP chooses McCain: pathetic. The party is going to get exactly what it is bargaining for: a bitch slap of epic porportions by the Dems in November.

remember ron paul gets more monetary donations from the militry than any other candidate. why is that, America?

It's funny how the candidates who are supposed to be good at balancing budgets and reducing spending can't even manage their campaign bank account.

I don't agree with all of Ron Paul's views, but at least he has the balls to disagree and hold true with what he believes in. The more I see the other candidates talk the more I hate all of them. Paul is the first politician I actually respect. Also "***** the government." is his general message... I thought people always wanted this?

I like the media disregarding him: There's nothing interesting about being responsible; nothing they can attack or gossip about. Being responsible is boring. They need something to talk about and since all the other politicians constantly contradict themselves it gets them into the news.

Elect Ron Paul or else the Democrats win in 2008. If anyone actually thinks McCain or Romney can clean up this mess with more of the same, then think again. Go ahead, donate more of your tax money for more illegal foreign wars, or to pay for someone else's health insurance. It's your money, do what you want. Personally, I'd like to keep mine for a change.....hmmm...change....Ever hear that before? Who has real change on the table? No one but Ron Paul.

If supporters of Ron Paul really want him to win, they wouldn't resort to spamming sites with inaccurate and misleading "news" items, would they? Is it worth winning if one has to do that?

explains that Mr. Paul's posting his contributors on his web site makes it easy for us to understand who's behind him. The other politicians know that we know they're owned, but they don't want us to know just WHO owns them. Mr. Paul shows the way, that's why the other politicians hate him and have persuaded the media to ignore him. See also

Hold on to your money-bomb memories, paulities, because once the frontrunners are established in both parties in a week, Paul's "record" fundraising is going to be over, just like his candidacy.

Even with Paul's 20 million, the guy couldn't afford to run more than 5 ads? Does anybody else see something wrong here? Yet now he's asking for an additional 5 million for his "strategy". 20 million wasn't enough to run a few ads?

He's also the only one who has not gone into debt during his campaign. Republicans are supposed to be fiscal conservatives, but they keep driving themselves and our country into debt.

Its frusterating that he's raised all this money but can't get out of the single digits in the polls. I'm not sure if its because he's not spent it effectively, or if his anti-war message is so counter to what the Republican trogolytes have had drummed into their heads over andover for the past 5 years that its impossible for his message to resonate with his own party.

No sympathy for all you dependents that want the Government to spend more of everyone's money on you. By voting for another candidate, you will vote for higher taxes in all forms of taxation, not just income tax, more government regulations and less freedom. I'd rather not pay for more illegal foreign wars and someone else's health insurance and I certainly don't want over 15 million illegal immigrants injected into our country who will stand in line for more handouts. You all seem to be eager to vote for your candidates who present a comfortable and cushy position for you. Ron Paul's position is not so comfortable but it is logical and well constructed for a better America.

This is only a shocker to those who haven't been paying attention.
