NewsMax Admits It's Obama Smear Isn't Accurate
blogs.usatoday.com — The story that's at the center of the storm today is this one from Ronald Kessler at the conservative-oriented NewsMax.com. "Obama attended hate America sermon," it's headlined. NewsMax has now posted a "clarification" that says its reporter can't give a specific date of when this was supposed to have happened.

1. It wasn't a "hate America" speech.
2. Obama wasn't there.

I know his website says, "FACT: Obama did not attend services on July 22nd." but that's all it says. Newsmax has a report from 2007 saying he was there http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2007/ ... The fact he gave a speech in Miami isn't proof because as the report says the morning and afternoon services still gave him time to be in Miami the same day.
So unless they made that up and changed the date...
Anyway, I know this going to get dugg down by the hardcore Obama supporters, but I would still like something more concrete than him simplying saying he wasn't there. They have the burden of proof, but you'd think Obama might have a receipt from that date at the time of the sermon or someone who can explain they were with him while it took place. He hasn't provided that.

- Aidenag, on 03/17/2008, -4/+9It's truly disturbing how quickly the mainstream media started covering this guys story without checking any of the facts first.. It took me all of like 2 minutes to find the video of Obama in Miami on the date newsmax first said this happened.
