New DNC Ad Shows US Troops Being Killed
littlegreenfootballs.com — Howard Dean sent the following email to his mailing list yesterday: Dear Friend, John McCain wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years. He ’s said it, and it’s on tape. But his campaign hates that he was caught. They’ve viciously attacked anyone.....>>

And your point is what again?
Please do not forget that Vietnam was began and escalated by a democratic President and ended by a Republican President. After all, it was 30+ years ago. How can you be expected to know history? How many US troops gave their lives during that war?
At the end of the day, we are all still Americans. There are those that love this country and those that do not.
By your posting history, we know where you fall.- MadKennyP, on 04/29/2008, -23/+3I love this country more than anyone who would lie to the American people to push for a war against a country that was no threat to the U.S., while allowing Osama bin Laden to remain free.
We know where you fall. - buddarien, on 04/29/2008, -2/+21Nice non-reply.
Any reason why you completely ignored my points about the Vietnam War? Maybe because they were facts that cannot be disputed. And if you cannot dispute the facts, ignore them and blather about something else.
Speaking of facts, how about UN Resolution 1441, which passed unanimously by a 15-0 vote? Apparently, everyone was lying about Iraq. Or was it just Bush hypnotizing the security council? Love to hear that explanation.- MadKennyP, on 04/30/2008, -8/+1I'm not the one trying to pretend the Iraq war was the Democrats' idea.
- Troika37, on 04/30/2008, -1/+8Really? The Dems didn't vote to authorize the War Powers Act? Not even one of them supported it? This wasn't a mutual effort?
- MadKennyP, on 04/30/2008, -7/+1Bush & Co. lied to the American people, hid evidence that didn't support the Bush war, and misled Congress and the United Nations.
- Troika37, on 04/30/2008, -1/+4Interesting that you bring up the UN. How many UN Resolutions did Iraq violate over the decade or so after the Gulf War? How many terms of the cease fire did he violate? Did that cease-fire have clauses allowing for continuation of hostilities should Saddam violate the terms?
Also, if Bush lied, why was he reelected?

- Troika37, on 04/29/2008, -3/+20Really, Kenny? Not a single democrat voted to go into Iraq? Not even a single one?
I'm AMAZED that this hasn't been made public before.- MadKennyP, on 04/29/2008, -22/+3You can try to run from the Iraq War, pushed by Bush through lies and half truths, but it is Bush's war until the end. 4,000+ lives and the wives, husbands, sons and daughters of those are on his head.
- onyxraven1979, on 04/29/2008, -2/+22And what of the 25,000,000 Iraqis who are now free? The ones you wanted to leave under the thumb of a madman? I guess they don't count to you. Freedom wouldn't mean anything to a Marxist anyway.
- Troika37, on 04/29/2008, -2/+21Run from the war? You should check my profile, Kenny. I've bled over there. I've buried my friends over there. It isn't Bush's war, it's America's. The American people asked me and mine to go to war in Iraq on two seperate occasions. The first was the passage of the War Powers Act, by our representatives who speak for the people. The second was the re-election of President Bush who ran on a platform of continuing the war.
I really am tired of you guys trying to figure out who to blame and arguing over what should or should not have happened. The reality is that we're in a war. I know most of you guys have a hard time with God, but not even He can change the past. In the words of Scalia - Get over it.

- onyxraven1979, on 04/29/2008, -3/+25McCain, Jan. 3: Make it a hundred. ... We’ve been in Japan for 60 years. We’ve been in South Korea for 50 years or so. That would be fine with me, as long as American, as long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. It’s fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintained a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting and equipping and motivating people every single day.

- Chip53, on 04/29/2008, -3/+10There is now officially no low to which the DNC will not stoop. It is obvious what McCain meant and what he said. It's been recorded and played many times. I guess I have to send more money to John McCain to fight this kind on BS.
Send this fine man whatever you can. $5, $10, anything to help him win over these cretins that call themselves Democrats. - MadKennyP, on 04/30/2008, -9/+3Republican policies lead to US Troops being killed. 4,000+ so far.
These guys should be ashamed.- Troika37, on 04/30/2008, -1/+8Here's a reference point for you. Add up the number of military deaths during the Clinton administration: 1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That's 4,417 deaths in peacetime but, of course, who's counting?
