- KJeffV, on 06/23/2008, -2/+3It's interesting to me that Gov(R- TX) Rick Perry & Michelle Obama adopted positions contrary to their "constituencies," Perry not only backing PPV vaccination but attempting to legislate its mandatory introduction. {He was vetoed by the TX legislature. He's also a backer of the "TX Corridor," so his conservative cred is slipping.} One would expect Michelle, otoh, to back such an effort, particularly b/c it would "serve" a single, specific, minority demographic. In my mind, the single, overruling factor would have to be some plank very near & dear to the Socialist heart . . . and that would be the "Tuskegee Superstition." She learned it fr/Wright, or she learned it fr/ BHO, but she learned it somewhere.
