- RepubOperative, on 05/06/2008, -34/+3And just who can take the black man seriously? He could just walk away before this really gets to be big. The Republicans are going to run 527's on Wright all day long. I know if I had a billion I would throw at least 50 to 100 million at him. Obama sucks. What a fraud!
If Baracka Obama disagreed with what Rev. Jeremiah Wright was saying then why did Baracka Obama "a typical black person" give $27,500 to the church ($22,500 in 2006 and $5,000 in 2005) to Africanzied Trinty United Church run by a man of the past, the black supremacist, conspiracy theorist and racist who infects the younger generation with racial prejudice and animus and then say he came unto us to transcend racism? Sounds like Baracka Obama got caught in another big lie. Maybe you haven't heard everything that Wright said:

Like, ObamaHateOperative... RepubOperative seems like you should be doing things to help your candidate... and if you believe smearing another candidate is the best/only way you help your candidate... well, I'm sorry to hear that. It'd be nice if you could offer some reasons TO vote for your candidate, rather than reasons to NOT vote for another one. Especially if the ammunition you use is guilt by association material... which seems to be about all you've got.
- petrodollar, on 05/06/2008, -1/+4"Hillary aint never been called a *****"
True.
"we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and never batted an eye "
True.
"we supported state terroriam against the Palestinians and black South Africans"
More or less true.
"Bill did us just like he did Monica Lewinsky"
What an idiot. Everyone knows it was Monica who did Bill! - Malacandra95, on 05/06/2008, -0/+7GOP candidates see nothing wrong with speaking gigs at Bob Jones University, despite that institution's unapologetic hatred of Catholics and blatant racism. Nor did the GOP not denounce Pat Robertson (and Jerry Falwell) who also said that the USA brought 9/11 on itself, due to America's "moral decay". The most Bush did was say "he didn't share their views". But he certainly didn't repudiate these men or shun them.
From Pastor Hagee to Mike Huckabee, who has no problem replacing our Constitution with his idea of Biblical Law, the GOP has embraced a dominionist, millennialist movement that's inimicable to a free and secular nation based on a separation of church and state.
OK, criticize Barack Obama for his relationship with that pastor. But the GOP has dozens of crazy, extremist preachers in its basement, and they represent such a powerful constituency that they dare not ignore them.
So, who's a bigger threat? Who's displaying poorer judgement? An individual candidate who has an ill-advised pastor, or a whole political party who embrace a movement antithetical to mainstream American values? - cranium, on 05/06/2008, -0/+4Gosh, I guess I'm not voting for Jeremiah Wright! I didn't even know he was running! Thanks!
- x0rcist, on 05/06/2008, -1/+16Wright said all that stuff. Not Obama.
There's a big difference between Clinton lying and some guy that Obama knows lying.
Wright isn't the one running for president, how about you dissect the candidate?
Oh, and why would Obama walk away when he's winning? You, sir, are clearly a fool. Explains a lot about your political views.- dfdub, on 05/06/2008, -10/+1Obama considers this man his 'mentor'. This title conveys more than just 'some guy Obama knows.' The candidates have many influences. They should all be scrutinized.

- Strungout, on 05/06/2008, -0/+7Then you should scrutinize the Clinton's pastor that's on trial for Child Molestation. Personally that's a lot worse then anything Wright could say

- x0rcist, on 05/06/2008, -3/+10It is impossible for Clinton to make any significant gains. She is not going to win anything by more than ~10% if she wins anything at all , and that is not nearly enough.
- countthevotes, on 05/06/2008, -1/+0Hillary will make significant gains once all the votes are counted, including Michigan and Florida. We need to make sure these delegates have a proper seat at the Convention. If you desire all the votes to be counted, no matter which candidate you support, please visit the petition at www.countthevotes.com.
Everyone should have a vote.- coup, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0I'm a registered Florida voter who didn't vote because I didn't think my vote would be counted. If somehow Clinton wins based on her Florida votes, I would be mighty pissed.
I do find it funny how Clinton supporters rely so much on the idea that everyone's vote should be counted. However, the only way Clinton can win the nomination is to have the superdelegates override the will of the people (that is, ignore their votes).

- tharju, on 05/06/2008, -2/+14if she wins Indiana what does it mean? I totally support Obama and even donated to his campaign for the first time ever in any election. Why can't we seal the deal? Hillary is getting annoying and becomes more like Reps. SOme of my friends are saying they don't even want to vote for general election if she wins. That's frustrating.
- jayhawk, on 05/06/2008, -4/+2you shouldn't be asking why Obama can't seal the deal. the question should be going to Hillary. She was the overwhelming favorite to win this nomination. Hillary had the party infrastructure all set up for her run. She was ahead in every poll and nobody else was seriously considered to be a contender just 6 months ago. why can't she seal the deal? this is her party and her year and she's faltered BIG time. she ignored state after state after state and she ignored her way right out of the lead and right out of contention. how can a person who wants to run our country not even run an effective and comprehensive campaign and why is she being forced to lend her own campaign money? my gosh she's screwed up an easy victory!!!
- tharju, on 05/06/2008, -0/+2i am not interesting about Hillary. That bitch is more like Bush and McCain. I lost my interest in her long time ago. She thinks acting tough and calling economist specialist elitists would gain the white middle class blue color vote. That bitch will do anything to gain the power. We need president like Obama whose intentions are to tell the truth and educate those white middle class blue colors that will in turn help this county to prosper again.
- hotsake, on 05/06/2008, -1/+2You realize that you can still vote for Obama even if he doesn't win the Democratic Party endorsement, right? I don't know why people don't understand this, but it has come up a lot lately in conversations I've had. If (somehow) Hilary wins more superdelegates, that does not mean Obama cannot run for president.
Tell this to your friends.- letherial, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3If that happens you might as well vote for mcain because splitting half the democratic party will hand the election to Mcain plain and simple. Numbers are numbers and Hillary has some good numbers, just not as good as Obamas, divide them up and you got a republican white house again...not to mention im sure they will gloat about Democrats shooting themselves in the foot again.
on the side note...i cant imagine myself voting for Hillary, the only reason why im interested right now is because obama is something different and face it, the ***** in Washington is just that, brown, slimy, and smells like *****. It probably sticks to the walls to. If i half to vote for her, then i half to vote for the same *****...and realy, ***** is ***** even if it smells different...on the other note, i wont vote for mcain either...cause ughh...old ***** is still *****.- tharju, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1same reason here.

What if Hillary gets the nomination?
Do we support her, based on the belief of lesser of two evils? Do some half-assed campaign for a third party, or move to Canada?- exomni, on 05/06/2008, -1/+15I'll ride my flying pig to a ski resort in hell.

- Aerandir, on 05/06/2008, -0/+13Option 4: We rebel ourselves from the ***** government and create a new one.
- Strungout, on 05/06/2008, -0/+5The streets shall run red with the blood of the innocents!
- petska, on 05/06/2008, -4/+2Obama and Hillary's policies are very similar, go to both websites and make an educated decision
- qwerter, on 05/06/2008, -0/+6There are political policies, and then there are policies of self-conduct, which as we can see are VASTLY different here.
- exomni, on 05/06/2008, -0/+2George Bush ran on a platform of non-interventionism and no nation building. Go listen to his long discussions about how the US military is to be only used to win wars with clear goals and a clear exit strategy (exactly his words).
There are far more important things to base your vote on than what a candidate says his platform is.
The quote: "BUSH: If this were a spending contest, I’d come in second. I readily admit, I’m not going to grow the size of the federal government like he is. [There was a question about] deployment. It must be in the national interests. It must be in our vital interest whether we ever send troops. The mission must be clear. Soldiers must understand why we’re going. The force must be strong enough so that the mission can be accomplished. And the exit strategy needs to be well-defined. I’m concerned that we’re overdeployed around the world. You see, I think the mission has somewhat become fuzzy. Should I be fortunate enough to earn your confidence, the mission of the United States military will be to be prepared and ready to fight and win war, and therefore prevent war from happening in the first place. There may be some moments when we use our troops as peacekeepers, but not often."
- RebeL5K, on 05/06/2008, -0/+5In your very unlikely hypothetical, that depends on HOW she won it. If she won it by some shady deal that manages to get Florida and Michigan seated as is, then hell no I won't vote for her, but I also wouldn't vote for McCain as a vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil. If, on the other hand, she wins fair and square, per the rules all the candidates agreed to beforehand (without Florida and Michigan) then, yes, I will begrudgingly vote for her. SO good luck to her with getting 85% of the remaining pledged delegates or 66% of ALL remaining delegates. Oh, and keeping any of her existing supers from defecting.
- wendelgee2, on 05/06/2008, -0/+5We'd draft Obama as a third-party candidate.
That's probably what we should do anyway. - absurdist, on 05/06/2008, -1/+1Hold your nose and vote for her for one reason alone: The Supreme Court. Look at how far to the right Bush has pushed it with the corporatists he's appointed. Think of how much worse it will be if McCain has the opportunity to appoint one or two more Alitos or Scalias.
- topgigmedia, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3I will NEVER vote for Hillary or McSame, period. I would rather write in my wife's name. Or - I will write in "none of the above"
- DyDx, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Three months ago I was absolutely fine with voting for either Obama or Clinton, though I preferred Obama.
At this point, I despise Clinton.
And yet, I still could not bring myself to vote for a Republican now.
So I guess _if_ (and that's a BIG ***** IF) Clinton gets the nomination, I would vote her, but only as the lesser of two evils. It's like voting between a douche and a turd sandwich, unfortunately... - migel628, on 05/06/2008, -0/+4If Clinton gets the nomination, then I'm for Nader.

- GleasoninWI, on 05/06/2008, -3/+9I think it has become apparent that CNN is in favor of Hillary Clinton winning the nomination. With all of the talk about how much Rev. Wright has harmed Obama, CNN just keeps giving Wright more air time. Clearly it must be to the advantage of CNN's candidate. As far as the primary in Pennsyvania goes, the results varified nothing more than the fact that racism still runs strong in the battle ground states. When will the news start bringing up the dirt on Hillary? Stuff like White water and the fact that her once thought love interest ended up dead over the incident. Now isn't that something we should all think about? How about the fact that neither Hillary or McCain canmanage to keep their campaigns out of financial trouble. Why would we begin to think that either one of them could keep the country out of financial trouble. Will Hillary dive into her checking account and give the country a loan to keep going? Will McCain give the working people a ride on his wife's jet when they can not afford to travel to see a sick family member? I doubt it! For all of the people who make up the common American working class.....WAKE UP! Obama is clearly the only candidate thet truely knows where we come from. I used to be a devout Democrat. After Bill Clinton's antics in the White house and his prize project NAFTA I switched to Republican. This year I am voting for Obama, not because of his party but because he is real! Obama knows where he came from and he hasn't forgotten what it is like to struggle. It is time for all americans to stand up for change we really can believe in. Look inside yourselves and if you cannot find something in your life you honestly believe you mistook for something else (I.E. Rev. Wright) or you have never mispoke in your entire life then I will be the first to apologize to you. But some how I don't think that will happen and I believe that all americans don't believe it either. One other question, look around you, how many people do you see not wearing american flags on the lapels, hats, coats or clothing. Does that make them unpatriotic?
I seriously hope that CNN and Anderson Cooper will get off the Wright subject and move on to issues important to this country.- sovereign3, on 05/06/2008, -1/+7Paragraphs would have been useful. WIthout them, I just can't read that.

I seriously hope that CNN and Anderson Cooper will get off the Wright subject and move on to issues important to this country.
- NelsonR, on 05/06/2008, -0/+0Myself I once had high regards with Lou Dobbs, now I see him for what he is, arrogant, all knowing and actually having bigoted sentiments. Like many, I want only legal immigration but Lou takes it one step further by playing the race card way to many times. He needs to mingle with various ethnic groups to obtain a better understand of what, "All men are created equal" actually means.
- Beatmiser, on 05/06/2008, -0/+6The Democratic nomination process is going to give me an ulcer.
- GleasoninWI, on 05/06/2008, -2/+1I tried to make paragraphs but the blog won't let it post that way, sorry.

- izikdela, on 05/06/2008, -3/+0Kevin Rose! Stop altering the Digg articles' popularities by making them go to the front page and adding all the Diggs you want! You Obama-lover!
j/k. :]- jerrycurley, on 05/06/2008, -1/+0You just don' t get the argument with the Obama spam, do you? Or...are you so ***** stupid as to think that they get all those diggs from people with one account each? It has been proven that huffington post has lots of multiple account users signed up SOLELY to digg their crap.
- Greer70, on 05/06/2008, -2/+1Is this a smarmy apple thread or a smarmy obama thread? They're tough to tell apart.
- masterm1nd, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Like rats fleeing a sinking ship inside a volcano.
- Laughsatyou, on 05/06/2008, -1/+1more huffpo spam.
- NelsonR, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3Just one important point. I find it obnoxious Hillary and Bill calling Obama an elitist. They are the ones with over 100 million dollars after arriving in D.C. and their daughter makes 160,000 thousand dollar on that corrupt Wall Street where morals and ethics are words not spoken. Who the hell is the elitist, you got it, Bill and Hillary and Chelsea. Unbelievable the lunacy spoken and followers who believe in the Clinton Monarchy. Maybe though I will turn into an idiot and accept my 32 cents per day for three months, roads and bridges be damned. Another Hillary continuous pandering to the illiterate.
- jerrycurley, on 05/06/2008, -0/+0those are big ifs.
Face the facts...this race is going to come down to the polls. Unless both are WAY ahead of McCain in the polls, the super delegates are going to go with the one who has the best chance of beating McCain. Doesn't matter WHAT they say now. Doesn't matter what they say next month. All that matters are the poll numbers taken a week before the convention. - smokeyjohnson, on 05/06/2008, -1/+2alright alright, we're all voting for obama. jesus christ. can somebody digg a new flash game or something already?
- DyDx, on 05/06/2008, -1/+1Digg is a social bookmarking site. If you don't like what comes up to the top of the list then you have every right to digg it down.
Since you apparently don't understand this concept, STFU.

- dwninjungleland, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1*Hmmm... maybe the message will get across more clearly, if OBAMA is in all caps!!!*
- 666dorado, on 05/06/2008, -0/+0if you're gonna jump ship, please do it soon. the ship is sinking!
- GrodyChamp, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Holy ***** enough with the damn huffingtonpost already. This is getting stupid. They're getting 4 or 5 crap stories on the front page a day. Enough with the spam.
- NelsonR, on 05/06/2008, -0/+0I will agree about the Huffington Post. While there posting, I did not use profanity nor attack another poster but they do not like you to criticize and post about America's lopsided appeasement for Israel and the American traitor, Joe Lieberman. In other words the Huffington blog has little Goebbels running around dictating what is acceptable for posting. Extremely, a propaganda site.
- easy4lif, on 05/06/2008, -1/+1the Obama attack dogs are out tonight. Heres hoping they end it with the typical Huffington Post article about how Clinton is really the devil and eats your children while you sleep.
- LukasSmith, on 05/06/2008, -5/+2More Bull from the Huffington Post. More Obama Propaganda. The Obama propaganda machine never sleeps.... literally.
- CypressQ, on 05/06/2008, -0/+0Hold up Luke, you're on Digg. Aren't you supposed to worship Oblama?
- gouzai, on 05/06/2008, -3/+1i like OBAMA
- sonofabeast, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1a change that I might be able to deceive my subconscious into pretending to believe.
- RRJackson, on 05/06/2008, -4/+1Yeah, this must be more of those super double-secret delegates who are prepared at any moment to board Obama's sinking ship.
- tevvie, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1I dont understand American politics...so i wont even try.
I give up. - normalkid0615, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1I totally saw that giant paragraph and decided I would make a comment instead of reading it.
