Media Ignores Ron Paul March For Liberty
infowars.net — Thousands of people marched peacefully in Washington D.C. on Saturday, to honor Texas Congressman Ron Paul's campaign for liberty, yet the mainstream media uniformly failed to issue a single written report on the event in its aftermath.

- FascistNation, on 07/14/2008, -11/+43I noticed this too. You had between 7 and 10 thousand people in a slow Washington DC that WAS attended by the local media yet, not a peep. I guess the concept of reporting stories people want to read so you can put food on your families is too hard a concept for the going bankrupt media to grasp.
- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -32/+13You think people WANT to read about 18-35 year old males dressing up as lady liberty or androgynous fat chicks holding up cardboard signs? Hilarious...
- ciaran036, on 07/14/2008, -10/+21What would you rather watch? Cops beating up people? US soldiers and innocent Iraqis dying?
"Hilarious..." - LumpyRevolution, on 07/15/2008, -4/+13ciaran036 Don't stoop to the poor retarded boy's level. His job is to get your goat. Feel sorry for him. I do.
- Parapadrifter, on 07/15/2008, -3/+12onetimer... your such a dickbeater.
- ciaran036, on 07/14/2008, -10/+21What would you rather watch? Cops beating up people? US soldiers and innocent Iraqis dying?
- dshPls, on 07/15/2008, -18/+8Why is Infowars reporting on Ron Paul? He's a government issued shill who believes the "official story", see: http://digg.com/political_opinion/Ron_Paul_says_th ...
- richmomz, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Yet Bob Barr makes the cover of Time magazine the very same week as the symbol of the "third party alternative" (despite having a fraction of the support of Ron Paul). Very interesting...
- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -32/+13You think people WANT to read about 18-35 year old males dressing up as lady liberty or androgynous fat chicks holding up cardboard signs? Hilarious...
- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -45/+22Yet again, the troofers ignorance regarding the magnitude of common place marches in DC causes them to jump to conclusions that are even more laughable then their movement.
Not only was 5-8k people a failure of a turnout (at least according to the predictions of 25-50k the paulities were talking about before the march), it certainly wasn't worthy of any media attention. I believe SSN, a former D.C resident, said it best:
"I used to live just outside D.C.
A march of 5k people was common place. You have a group of about a thousand people that show up for EVERY march (note the :no torture booths at the rally?). They are on speed dial for march organizers.
4-5k worth of marchers doesn't even elicit a yawn in D.C. It is a pretend march. It receives no coverage, because it is nearly a weekly event."
You guys accomplished nothing more than a common place pseudo-march while simultaneously causing nothing. To think that an unspectacular event like this is worthy of media attention is a testament to your overinflated self of importance and ignorance.- Todash19, on 07/14/2008, -15/+17What a sad dude you are.
- card51short, on 07/14/2008, -17/+13OK so we failed miserably I guess.
And you have spent hours telling us that.
Who has really failed more in life?- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -16/+15What is this "we"?
Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Did you attend this? Did you organize this in anyway? What makes you feel that you are part of these enough to claim to be part of the group?
"Who has really failed more in life?"
By all available metrics, it still looks like it's the Troofers...
- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -16/+15What is this "we"?
- shagywashere, on 07/14/2008, -12/+14Actually if you listened to the speech Ron says the 10,000 people space was already getting too small. This guys says only 5-8k but most estimates say at least 14k people were there.
- ciaran036, on 07/14/2008, -13/+15there you go again onetimer - not a positive comment in sight!
- CoolHandLuke70, on 07/15/2008, -5/+16onetimer, you do not need to be an ***** all the time --- take some time off!

- Todash19, on 07/14/2008, -15/+17What a sad dude you are.
- shagywashere, on 07/14/2008, -11/+30In the speech Ron Paul says the 10k people space is getting too small, so doesn't that mean there were more than 10,000 people there or just about? I heard from many sources that there at least 14000 people there.
- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -14/+13Well it sounds more like Paul was saying that to drum up enthusiasm, as I seriously doubt he himself know for sure how many people were there. Most folks are really bad at estimating crowds.
All the sources i've seen, which I admit are limited to the testimonial of folks on the RonPaulForums who claimed to have talked to officers (who would have experience judging the sizes of crowds) pin the number to be between 5-8k. 14,000 sounds like an intentionally gross overestimation.- KMye, on 07/14/2008, -9/+8I was surprised by how long he kept control of himself this time...Everyone troofer who changed their avatar in solidarity should be very proud right now...
- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -14/+11Yeah I knew he would lose it eventually. It's hard for someone with such a feeble mind to keep up a charade.
A shame though, at least while he was doing his half-ass attempt to mimic us, he wasn't spamming racist tirades. Oh well. - Parapadrifter, on 07/15/2008, -0/+6I've never doubted the message. I'll will carry it on if only 2 people showed up. One of a lesser character would quit.
- onetimer, on 07/14/2008, -14/+13Well it sounds more like Paul was saying that to drum up enthusiasm, as I seriously doubt he himself know for sure how many people were there. Most folks are really bad at estimating crowds.
- AndyWhite, on 07/14/2008, -13/+28I was in DC the last week of June and it was HOT! These people marched down the street chanting Ron Paul Ron Paul at the top of their lungs in Washington DC July heat. True patriots!
- Herkimer56, on 07/15/2008, -18/+9True idiots.
- ciaran036, on 07/14/2008, -15/+32This is probably the most significant anti-war marches of the year too. This proves yet again that the mainstream media are only there to entertain us and distract us from the real issues and leave us thinking that we should be supporting these illegal and unjust wars and that we should be letting our civil liberties be reduced one step at a time.
Take down the establishment through peaceful protests and alternative media!- SheilaNoya, on 07/15/2008, -5/+19No offense, but we've had much larger anti-war marches here in Los Angeles. They don't get media coverage either.
We had over 100,000 at an immigration rally and that was barely covered by the press (except locally).
I don't think this has as much to do with Ron Paul as it does that the media just doesn't cover political protests anymore.- Observant1, on 07/15/2008, -0/+7would they cover a nationwide protest of the media?
/s - ciaran036, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1No offence taken!

- reed311, on 07/14/2008, -17/+23The news article answers it's own question when it says that only "2500" people attended. It uses bloggers (lol) as a source of possibly 8,000; but either way that number is peanuts compared to other protests. Lastly, no one really understood what these people were protesting. It was essentially about 20 different issues. From the Federal Reserve, to 9/11 being an inside job, to Ron Paul becoming president. There were too many issues and there was no real focus to the event.
- sollycardy, on 07/15/2008, -1/+7the issue was FREEDOM
and a FREE REPUBLIC under the CONSTITUTION.
This is something that unites people. No matter what else they believe in, they ALL believed in freedom and a true republic under the constitution. - JeremyGrieves, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Having one simple issue probably would have helped news to spread through the braindead masses but I think you will find that America today has abit more them 1 problem.
- sollycardy, on 07/15/2008, -1/+7the issue was FREEDOM
- sportsstar67, on 07/14/2008, -25/+13What happened..Where the hell is everyone ? This was supposed to be a million Lunatics, oops I mean domestic terrorists, oops I mean people march..So much for the campaign, this was just absolutely pathetic
- nymphetamine, on 07/15/2008, -11/+8Their moms can't drive them everywhere. Cut them some slack.
- sportsstar67, on 07/15/2008, -4/+3Yes I should..Unfortunately for them you can't spam a march, you actually have to show up
- liljohns, on 07/15/2008, -3/+2Or maybe they can't afford a $1,000 trip to DC because they are supporting a family on a worthless dollar.
- DrPaul2008, on 07/15/2008, -5/+9Pathetic. Truly pathetic! You can help to get rid of all these pathetic losers in your area by digging this; http://digg.com/educational/You_ve_got_nothing_to_ ...

- silentboom, on 07/15/2008, -15/+16Wow there are alot of cheerleaders here for the destruction of the US. Do you pat yourselves on the back after you post these comments or just treat yourself to some backdoor fun with your pet afterwards? I would guess the latter.
- Herkimer56, on 07/15/2008, -18/+9Hyperbole, buzzwords and ad homs. Typical Ronbot response. You need to accept your personal failure as a human being and the complete failure of that old fool that you're supporting and move on with life. You're just pathetic.
- Parapadrifter, on 07/15/2008, -1/+13certainly the latter. But, I'm sure stout individuals like Herkimer will come to our rescue when they start stacking Americans in crates and gassing them in FEMA camps.
What happens to the lesser of us happens to us all. fyi... martial law seems to have been declared June 26, 2008. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/06/20 ...
What do you leveled individuals think? Since we alarmists are all ***** in the head... - DrPaul2008, on 07/15/2008, -0/+8Save your state, and your country! Ship all these traitorous, bestial, cheerleaders, out of your state to freeze! http://digg.com/educational/You_ve_got_nothing_to_ ...
- Stryder81, on 07/15/2008, -1/+12Whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is in the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute a new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shewn, that Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.

- inobla, on 07/15/2008, -20/+13"Media Ignores Ron Paul March For Liberty"
Replace the word Media with America and the title will edge a bit closer to describing the reality of Ron Paul's revolution.- HumanCattle, on 07/15/2008, -5/+7True.
Ron Paul really needs to enlist the help of kitschy gen-Y icons like Chuck Norris and "hip hop" artists like Will.I.Am if he wants to capture the attention of "America". Blimp just ain't cuttin it.
- HumanCattle, on 07/15/2008, -5/+7True.
- Chromedaffodils, on 07/15/2008, -5/+15Ignorance is bliss for those to scared to educate themselves to the truths of what is going on. Do you realize the gov. is bailing out fanny and freddie and we are talking trillions of dollars. Do you have a clue? As long as all three sides of your cubicle are standing you feel safe huh? As long as you have some pretty paper telling you it is worth something, you believe you have money and as long as someone stands up and seduces you into believing an illusion, you feel you can be safe trusting them for president. Because what else do you have? ... and the answer to that is what scares you, do some research on the economy, gold, silver, fed. reserve printing money (of which they are not a part of our government, but a private printing company) so basically they counterfit and you BELIEVE it is worth something so you keep using it, we all do, but is that right? Eh, believe as you wish, but when you need defended, remember who you mocked. These people are standing in a place for America, for YOU, because someone has to.
- avengingturnip, on 07/15/2008, -2/+14Surprised? It ignored his campaign too except to tell everyone what a kooky, fringe candidate he was.
- rhabd0mancer, on 07/15/2008, -13/+5Looks like the "Ron Paul Revolution" has fizzled out.
- swrostmore, on 07/15/2008, -1/+7I told you guys in the original digg submission announcing the march, the national media will ignore any rally with less than 500,000 people. It doesn't matter what the issue you're marching about is (in other words it's no conspiracy to ***** with Ron Paul), they do it to huge (100,000+) anti-war marches all the time.
Let this be a lesson to you for your counter-convention during the Republican National Convention. Unless you get involved in some serious civil disobedience where thousands (maybe that's setting the bar a little low, thousands were arrested at the 2004 RNC simply to clear the streets) are arrested, your cause is going to be completely marginalized and ignored. - cc1263, on 07/15/2008, -0/+4We need to get more people together and combine various groups to achieve the largest March in American history if we ever expect anything to change. I think everyone can safely agree that the current situation in American politics is untenable. Double-speak, spin, and wedge issues have very effectively divided and conquered the population. We have to speak loudly and make some noise before anyone takes notice. We need action.
- MasterThief117, on 07/15/2008, -11/+1It's because it has to do with Ron Paul. This guy is a douchebag attention whore in the political world with all of his sheep followers.
- themikeb, on 07/15/2008, -2/+7trolls , I hope you enjoy your 4 bucks a gallon gas.Because that is what you stooooopid a$$3$ deserve. It soon will reach 8-10 range, then you can scream ... you who were lulled into a non think tv watching coma.
You are so willfully ignorant you deserve nothing better than obahhhhma or mcinsane. You refuse to see the mack truck, even as one of your legs are already caught under it..
for once in your life, stop repeating what Uncle T.V. been puking into your skulls, and look up, read, research what is really going on.- PolishLogic, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Sounds good to me.

- PolishLogic, on 07/15/2008, -4/+1Is this honestly a surprise? 10k turn-out, and they expect national news?
- richmomz, on 07/15/2008, -1/+2They are focusing their attention on Bob Barr since he poses no threat to the establishment.
- SaraLiberty, on 08/16/2008, -0/+8Why is this any surprise? The other candidates who serve greater masters are loyal globalist mamelukes who belong to dubious organizations such as CFR, WTO, NATO, Bilderbergs, UN etc. This is a direct violation of our Constitution, the law of the land in The United States of America. Which all politicians must abide by, but do not. They instead laugh at it, spit in the face of it, then draft and support freedom extinguishing laws, privacy rights-destroying bills and draconian legislation's that are unconstitutional. Ron Paul truly has America's best interest at heart, not Israels, Saudi Arabias, Egypt's or Pakistan's, like the rest of the sell-outs. He wants to be president of the *USA*, not president of the Middle East, president of everywhere else but here. Ron Paul doesn't play ball with the criminals. He isn't a bought sold & paid for puppet on strings "$pecial interest$" lobbyist-serving scripted double-talker like the rest. He doesn't encourage war profiteering for the defense industry, central banks and military industrial complex at our expense. He opposes clandestine secretive shadowy, subversion of democratic process- 'groups' like "CFR" "Bilderbergs" "Trilateral Commission" and of course the super rich ultra wealthy foreign lobby's who buy out our politicians, congress and senate for their own personal self-serving benefit and agenda. He is an honest intelligent man who would put an end to all lobbies; American wealth and blood will no longer be for sale. So it's no surprise why he will be viciously demonized, smeared, ridiculed and subverted on their controlled media propaganda orifices.
If the March for Liberty featured Rockefeller-endorsed CFR groupie obedient AIPAC servant corporate puppets McCain or Obama who want more hostile corporate takeover (war) in the middle east and promote murdering more people for an AIPAC approved PNAC manifesto war agenda, now you'd see FULL coverage on all channels + cable! in addition to gleaming newspaper write-ups, praise-lavishing magazine articles, extensive up close interviews, increased promotion as 2nd coming "American heroes" "candidate for the American people!", constant "round-table" press discussions for a week following, and political analysis face time ad nauseam.
Candidates promoted by the controlled media and given free airtime 24/7 are the ones NOT to vote for. When will Americans ever learn ? Seriously.
When will the dumbed down, soundbite addled TV manipulated consumer serfs ever get a real clue? to what's really going on with their sold-out America. Have they left their brains at the mall and their X-Box video game console or what? Unless you want more of the same selling out our country to wealthy foreign lobbies and "special interests", more war profiteering at your expense, more destruction of the environment, more murdering civilians overseas, more bankrupting the economy, increased terrorism and USA hatred around the world, devaluing the dollar, increased billion dollar giveaways to overseas dictators in "foreign aid", AIPAC agenda, raping the treasury, Fed manipulation of interest rates, business as usual bull *****. And then wonder 'how things got so ***** up bad" after elections are over, cameras are off and it's back to furthering the plan.
TV conditioned Americans like to believe they're so "smart!", so "advanced" and above everyone else right. So superior to all other "lesser" countries. Yet they let their TV set and paid-for scripted media pundits decide political candidates for them. They believe the double talk, empty promises, political rhetoric and deceitful lies marketed to them, fed by the so called "leaders" from a television box and controlled, censorious media. They don't even question it! Much less do any research on their own. How could that be called REAL intelligence, to buy that obvious pre-meditated bull ***** hook line & sinker. They can't see through it. And keep electing the same scripted, sold out elite puppet traitorous waste into power. How can they call themselves "smart"? The myth of USA as nation of TV idler, propagandized, educated idiots is *not* greatly exaggerated!
"Go back to bed America, your government has figured out how it all transpired. Go back to bed America, your government is in control. Here, here's American Gladiators. Watch this, shut up." - Bill Hicks
