Media Ignores Ron Paul March For Liberty

infowars.net — Thousands of people marched peacefully in Washington D.C. on Saturday, to honor Texas Congressman Ron Paul's campaign for liberty, yet the mainstream media uniformly failed to issue a single written report on the event in its aftermath.

I guess the concept of reporting stories people want to read so you can put food on your families is too hard a concept for the going bankrupt media to grasp.

Not only was 5-8k people a failure of a turnout (at least according to the predictions of 25-50k the paulities were talking about before the march), it certainly wasn't worthy of any media attention. I believe SSN, a former D.C resident, said it best:

"I used to live just outside D.C.

A march of 5k people was common place. You have a group of about a thousand people that show up for EVERY march (note the :no torture booths at the rally?). They are on speed dial for march organizers.

4-5k worth of marchers doesn't even elicit a yawn in D.C. It is a pretend march. It receives no coverage, because it is nearly a weekly event."

You guys accomplished nothing more than a common place pseudo-march while simultaneously causing nothing. To think that an unspectacular event like this is worthy of media attention is a testament to your overinflated self of importance and ignorance.

  All the sources i've seen, which I admit are limited to the testimonial of folks on the RonPaulForums who claimed to have talked to officers (who would have experience judging the sizes of crowds) pin the number to be between 5-8k. 14,000 sounds like an intentionally gross overestimation.

This proves yet again that the mainstream media are only there to entertain us and distract us from the real issues and leave us thinking that we should be supporting these illegal and unjust wars and that we should be letting our civil liberties be reduced one step at a time.

  We had over 100,000 at an immigration rally and that was barely covered by the press (except locally).
  
  I don't think this has as much to do with Ron Paul as it does that the media just doesn't cover political protests anymore.

It uses bloggers (lol) as a source of possibly 8,000; but either way that number is peanuts compared to other protests. Lastly, no one really understood what these people were protesting. It was essentially about 20 different issues. From the Federal Reserve, to 9/11 being an inside job, to Ron Paul becoming president. There were too many issues and there was no real focus to the event.

It doesn't matter what the issue you're marching about is (in other words it's no conspiracy to ***** with Ron Paul), they do it to huge (100,000+) anti-war marches all the time.

Let this be a lesson to you for your counter-convention during the Republican National Convention. Unless you get involved in some serious civil disobedience where thousands (maybe that's setting the bar a little low, thousands were arrested at the 2004 RNC simply to clear the streets) are arrested, your cause is going to be completely marginalized and ignored.

I think everyone can safely agree that the current situation in American politics is untenable. Double-speak, spin, and wedge issues have very effectively divided and conquered the population. We have to speak loudly and make some noise before anyone takes notice. We need action.

He is an honest intelligent man who would put an end to all lobbies; American wealth and blood will no longer be for sale. So it's no surprise why he will be viciously demonized, smeared, ridiculed and subverted on their controlled media propaganda orifices.

If the March for Liberty featured Rockefeller-endorsed CFR groupie obedient AIPAC servant corporate puppets McCain or Obama who want more hostile corporate takeover (war) in the middle east and promote murdering more people for an AIPAC approved PNAC manifesto war agenda, now you'd see FULL coverage on all channels + cable! in addition to gleaming newspaper write-ups, praise-lavishing magazine articles, extensive up close interviews, increased promotion as 2nd coming "American heroes" "candidate for the American people!", constant "round-table" press discussions for a week following, and political analysis face time ad nauseam.

Candidates promoted by the controlled media and given free airtime 24/7 are the ones NOT to vote for. When will Americans ever learn ? Seriously.

When will the dumbed down, soundbite addled TV manipulated consumer serfs ever get a real clue? to what's really going on with their sold-out America. Have they left their brains at the mall and their X-Box video game console or what? Unless you want more of the same selling out our country to wealthy foreign lobbies and "special interests", more war profiteering at your expense, more destruction of the environment, more murdering civilians overseas, more bankrupting the economy, increased terrorism and USA hatred around the world, devaluing the dollar, increased billion dollar giveaways to overseas dictators in "foreign aid", AIPAC agenda, raping the treasury, Fed manipulation of interest rates, business as usual bull *****. And then wonder 'how things got so ***** up bad" after elections are over, cameras are off and it's back to furthering the plan.

TV conditioned Americans like to believe they're so "smart!", so "advanced" and above everyone else right. So superior to all other "lesser" countries. Yet they let their TV set and paid-for scripted media pundits decide political candidates for them. They believe the double talk, empty promises, political rhetoric and deceitful lies marketed to them, fed by the so called "leaders" from a television box and controlled, censorious media. They don't even question it! Much less do any research on their own. How could that be called REAL intelligence, to buy that obvious pre-meditated bull ***** hook line & sinker. They can't see through it. And keep electing the same scripted, sold out elite puppet traitorous waste into power. How can they call themselves "smart"?
